  • In this episode we start with discussion of England's win over Switzerland at the Euros, centred around the brilliant Bukayo Saka who scored a fantastic equaliser, and one of the five penalties to help his team progress. There's some discussion about the overall level of performance from the England team, a question about who should start up front in the semi-final, and we look at the other Arsenal players who are still involved or just exited the tournament. Then there's some transfer chat, questions about William Saliba as the left-sided centre-half, the two Brazilian Gabriels who have been away at the Copa America, Jakub Kiwior's future in light of ongoing interest in Riccardo Calafiori, the mystery German player, and lots more.

Truly brilliant show Saka is our star boy we are so lucky to have such an amazing Arsenal superstar that I considered a part of my family and what Toney did at the penalties maybe we should sign an arrogant footballer that believes in himself and might have that winning mentality.

Exactly Andrew. It’s not about letting academy players go, it’s about letting them go for free!
Yes that’s normal for the majority of any academy player of any club. But to let your talented and well hyped players go for free too? Surely we can do better than asking them if they would like to stay right as their contracts are expiring..

I was watching mark goldbridge watch along of the England game and what he said about this England performance and change of formation cracked me up: we used to shit in our pants and now we’re shitting in the toilet, it’s more balanced but it’s still not good enough

I don’t know who I want Mikel to sign because I have, in all these years of being an Arsenal fan, transfer months have always been way too taxing with so many signing prospects only to end up with project players that didn’t get us through the line, so I stopped “following” the window. But if somehow we end up with Toney, I will not complain. At all actually.

Can you imagine a France - England final? If Mbappe is having problems sleeping, that would do the trick 😂

If Arsenal sell Gabriel it would be an absolute disaster. There is no better left footed CB in World football....He is as good as Saliba at this moment in time. Unless the bid is over 100 million pounds...actually even then i wouldnt

Just wondering Blogs, and my toung is firmly in my cheek here too but, do you still think Saka is carrying an injury or maybe the last performance where he wasn't quite himself was just an off game :p

The Gabriel situation is not complicated.
The stuff that's going on isn't in the background. It's in front of us.
He's not very good on the ball. Has improved a lot but still has his bozo moments; Bayern for example.
And I have no clue how someone thinks last season had anything to do with Saudi interest. It was tactical.
Zinchenko wasn't available/not selected so we had to invert our RB.
Which meant Big Gabi would have been the CCB instead of Saliba.
Which is not a good solution considering he's poor on the ball.

I watched England vs. Switzerland in a sports bar with some mates, and I was so disgusted by the shit show I was punished with, that I openly booed and chanted "BORING". The only things I celebrated in the entire game were Saka's equaliser and Saka scoring in the shootout. When we went through, everyone around me was jumping up and down and screaming like mad, while I stayed in my seat, folded my arms and shook my head. I'm happy we've progressed, but I didn't celebrate.
To make it perfectly clear, am I happy that England are in the semi final of the Euro's? Absolutely. I want us to go all the way and win in, and if we do, I'll celebrate just like everyone else in England. But I'm sorry, the way we play has got to a point with me where I'm no longer prepared to accept it. We have played terribly throughout the entire tournament, and to be honest, we're lucky to still be there. Going all the way to penalties against Switzerland was the last straw for me. Switzerland are not tournament heavyweights, and if we play like this against teams the calibre of Spain, Germany, France, Portugal, Italy etc. (yes, I know they're not all in the tournament anymore) and they're on it, we'll get torn to shreds.
No one is under any obligation to only praise the players or the manager. I don't like what I'm seeing, and I'm prepared to speak up about it. I can't accept this style of play anymore, and I want change after this tournament, because I just can't take it anymore. I appreciate what Gareth Southgate has done for the England national team, but he has naturally overstayed his welcome now, and we need something else.

If we can't make even a small profit on a player like Kiwior, then who can we get a profit for? 🤔
If 30M is too expensive for an Italian club, then maybe they dont want him badly enough! Pay Up you frauds!
