    if you pour in the chocolate, let it sit in the mould for 30-45 seconds then pour it out, it will have formed a thick enough case so you don't have to brush it on

    • @NeptuneSpaMusic
      @NeptuneSpaMusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh no! It's probably that the chocolate didn't hit the right temperatures to form the right structure as it cooled.
      Does it get condensation on the surface as it melts now?

  • @lindasouthby7438
    @lindasouthby7438 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    If you use 600g of chocolate how many standard size eggs will it make and do you have to keep the chocolate at 35 (?) degrees (when it’s cooled) and warm it up again if it falls below that?

    • @NeptuneSpaMusic
      @NeptuneSpaMusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Linda! Totally depends how thick you make the walls, I’d say about 350-400g for 1 medium egg.
      You don’t have to keep the chocolate warm....when it stops being spreadable you can warm it up again but don’t go above 35 degrees or it will not set again properly (tempering)

    Hi! I love to create chocolate Esther eggs. What type of chocolate do you use? It is a compound chocolate? Why? You may ask because I watching Ann Readon videos. She tell you, what chocloate can we use?

    • @NeptuneSpaMusic
      @NeptuneSpaMusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thats a good question! I understand compound chocolates correctly they contain vegetable oil/fat along with the cocoa solids? The chocolate I used was milk chocolate from Aldi so it was quite cheap chocolate and probably contains vegetable oil but I don't have a pack right now to check the ingredients.

    If you gonna go out your way to make your own why make it hollow inside like for real its your egg just make it better then a store one the only reason they make it hollow is
    1. to more mass produce them at speed where they can be on store shelves across the world fast.
    2. save cost in production.
    But as for making you own you don't really have to follow those rules so i recommend to not exactly follow these steps and make your kinda of egg, if your just gonna spend money making you own you might as well get a store one if you make it exactly like they do.
