My Mission: Better Humans, Better Planet
Always remember: Trust, Respect, & Love
It's a shame that so many dogs are stuck with such uninformed humans who are clueless as to their role in dog ownership. Love Cesar!
Prove it.
This video proves that some dog owners don't have a clue how to train a dog.
@@annechang6459not only that they expect them to raise themselves. They don’t want to walk dogs they don’t do research about dogs nor the breed they want. They take a breed because it looks cool but have no idea if the breed suits their life style.
@@LadySamurai88 Many dogs are an impulse purchase. Look at all the gun purchases done by people with out a clue. In this case the dog was such a disappointment in the beginning that he was given up on. But with just the smallest amount of instruction, the door was open to building a great success.
@@williamoorejr true it’s so sad and they still wanted to breed with him. And many others do the same.
Cesar is just incredible. Always reminds me there is no such thing as a "bad dog" but rather a dog that needs attention and discipline.
A well trained dog is a happy dog. They only need to know what you expect. They're happy to do it. All they want to do is please you. And they don't get in trouble because they're well trained.
@CURTIS-W5CER very true!
No such thing as a bad dog - only bad owners
@lesleysmith9143 exactly
@@CURTIS-W5CER This is true with most dogs. There are some dogs & breeds that are more independent and they just don't care as much about pleasing people, but even strong willed dogs can be trained with more persistence and be happy obedient dogs.
Too many people think a pet is furniture. They get one and then expect it to just be content with sitting in their house 24/7 like a houseplant.
Talking to your dog is barking noise without meaning.
And they expect that the dog is born with general knowledge about how to behave in the human world. And that dogs speak English :0
@@jesterday2222they don’t speak it they understand whatever languages you speak to them in from birth.
@@Bmf214 The point is, a dog doesn't know what SIT or STAY means in _any_ language, untill you teach it to him. Most people are oblivious to the teaching part and expect the dog to simply understand what they mean. That's what I ment.
Scat Mats really work!
So amazed captain didn’t die from chewing so many plastics, maybe even batteries and all that pillow stuffing. So glad Cesar save his life and kept more out of the shelters. You are amazing Cesar! Thank you!!!
True…I’m worried about my dog and things don’t go missing. If he gets something and decides to chew it, it’s usually from something we have no idea where the hell he got it or what the hell it even was. It’s supposed to be a rare thing.
We don’t know the end story. Where’s captain now. This is a cop who had him. Let’s think about everything that ever crossed his path and if he had empathy, intelligence, and compassion for this animal. Huge doubts!!!
Captain's probably already been dropped at the shelter and then "taken care of" if you know what I mean. The least of his problems is some plastic. Haha.
I cannot believe how little the man initially didn’t want to do anything. Makes me wonder who wanted the dog. He’s a beautiful dog.
He’s miserable and transferring that energy to his dog.
It’s clear who wanted it but obviously he only wanted puppy cuteness not adolescent behavior dog. Ill bet he is the type to unalive it as soon as it gets to a senior. Sad human being
@@Bravonewyork Not a happy person period. Just imagine what sort of cop he was! Dang, poor dog.
He's an ex-police officer, so what do you expect? They're all lazy, overweight, and donut eating tub of lards. Lol
@lynnmoser6918 my thoughts exactly
Cesar Millan helped me nurture my puppies years ago and until now I still watch his videos because having a dog is a lifelong learning.
True I've worked with dogs and other pets for almost 60 yrs. That's what makes them interesting. That's how I know so much. Cesar is an answer to my prayers I made as a young adult, but remember he is still learning too and has made mistakes in his own learning experiences. He teaches me and I could teach him in return. Trouble is no one usually wants to learn and take advantage of the knowledge I have spent years obtaining from the age of 1. Few persons want to learn and/or work with dogs. New rescue Gracie is a leash chewer, pull out of her collar, and wants to be an alpha. I use a metal leash on her with a material pull tight collar then I body block her alpha eposodes so that no one gets hurt. She receives good attention often throughout the day while she is being good. There is alot more than this in dealing with Gracie.
Every dog deserves a human, not every human deserves a dog. 🐕❤️😊
Not every human WANTS A DOG 😂😂😂
🙄
Exercise will help the owner too
Facts!!
He’s a 🐷
You think he's going to exercise? He was a cop which means he never did have a real job. He's going to start working now? He's been a welfare recipient for 30 years and now he's getting pension welfare for his non-existent job.
Thank you Cesar for taking the extra mile ( social responsibility ) to educate dog owners on neutering instead of breeding.
Absolutely agree 👍
It’s crazy to me the owner wasn’t sure about keeping the dog but insist they want to be able to breed…why? Weird psychology here.
This cop thinks balls are everything. He’s a MAN! The dog is chill. This cop is a pig.
@mahalie23 I can understand why they want to breed him, but it is not practical. So happy Cesar brought them to the shelter.
True! Over a million dogs are put down every year in the states alone.
Cesar thanks for being an advocate for spaying and neutering. I have always had my pets fixed as soon as they were old enough. I'm so happy Caption can be happy with his owners!❤❤❤
this guy is absurd ... he doesn't even want the dog... yet he wants to breed him WOW ... this guy has the energy level of a slug ... he is not a compatible owner for any dog .... lol I just can't believe that people are so amazed how easy most cases are when the people ACTUALLY put in the work .... ahahah
Sh!t for brains.
People change
The breeding could be for the "stud fee?"
They couldn't swallow the fact that they were doing something wrong. They thought it was a dog's fault
Exactly like 99%of dog's owners ...🤷♀️
It is a stupid dog.
THIS! No accountability at all!
I grew up down the street from them, Jennifer and I were good friends at one point. They actually had golden retrievers the entire time I knew them, and they were really sweet. When Ted’s older golden passed away I remember he was really heartbroken about it. So many comments on here are so overly judgmental, I haven’t seen the Holsts in years but I do know he had to deal with some hard personal stuff. Yea at this stage in his life he didn’t necessarily need another dog but we don’t know someone’s whole life from one clip
❤
While i understand we don't know the whole story, at the end of the day you don't just get a dog (or any pet) to fill a void or because it's cute. I have 3 cats, 4 bearded dragons, 1 dog, and 2 fish tanks. Each of them requires time, attention, and care. If I cannot make the time for it, I shouldn't own it.
Thank you Laura. You are a good and caring woman. Captain is a beautiful, sweet tempered dog. The ladies reprimands sounded too much like praise. I really think the dog thought he was being praised for his chewing, and also has some separation anxiety problems. A gd breeder knows to teach each puppy how to be alone by itself for a short time each day before going to it's new home. This training begins at 6 wks so the puppy has at least 2 weeks to get comfortable with the situation. Afternoon nap time works the best. Put each pup in a cage. Same room is ok. Brenda Ferrell
He doesn’t want to even walk the dog past the corner but still wants to use him for breeding. The comments are well deserved.
@@lauraevans3370 they maybe good people but they are horrible dog owners. He walks the dog to get the papers and back and that’s exercise ? They should not own a puppy. If they really want pets they should get senior dogs that would be ok with this.
I don't want to be overly critical... but that man is depressing. Not just depressed, but actively depressing. He hates his life. He hates life itself. I can't imagine being him or even being with him. I'm 61 years old, a little overweight, have renal cell cancer, after beating squamous cell cancer 8 years ago. I just got a Bengal kitten in 2023. She's a proper Bengal cat now. If you know anything about Bengals, they are extremely athletic and energetic, and need almost constant stimulation. I let her needs be my motivation to be active. That dude? He just wants to sit on the couch with coffee, donuts, and the newspaper. I'm sorry, but I can't imagine having his lack of energy and NOT expecting his dog to have so much pent-up energy. Especially a high energy dog like a golden retriever.
This 👆I noticed that straight of the bat as well! His wife was trying to placate him & keep the peace by taking Captain out before the guy even got out of bed! You even heard her say he’s in a much better mood. I could not be bothered by a guy like that; I’d concentrate on my dog. He doesn’t seem that switched on either. For instance he asked if exercise would help him destroying things & Cesar said yes a calm mind doesn’t destroy. He could relate that to his job because a calm mind in humans doesn’t destroy either like violence. It’s a retriever for goodness sake it needs a job & boundaries. I’m glad Cesar was able to help. I’m sorry to hear the challenges you are going through.
@HollyJordan15 heh... thanks. Unlike that dude, my challenges won't stop me from living life like I want.
High energy yes but also very submissive. With just a little effort and correction that dog would be so obedient and “happy go lucky” as cesar says!
Much love, hugs, and prayers to you and yours, beautiful friend. 🙏🏻✝️🕊️
That poor dog needs entirely different owners - young, active and happy to work with him every day. There's nothing wrong with these people, they're just not right for this dog.
bingo.
that cop was depressing!
but in the end the dog changed the behavior of the owner. They changed each other.
This is probably a really OLD video.............9/10 the f@t donut bag never stepped up to put anything I to the dog......let's all pray he was rehomed with a family who had rules, boundaries and limitations...
A lot is wrong with the owners. 1 he's a couch potato 2 he didn't do his research 4 you don't just give up.
@@glow1815you skipped three
Ted , captain always was the dog you wanted, you weren’t the human Captain deserved. Glad things are better, poor dog was so frustrated
We don’t know it’s better. This is fairytale land in Caesar’s show. I bet bad things have gone on with a cop owning captain
Once again Cesar does the harder thing and trains the humans. 🐕🐶
Loved this show the most because Cesar talked about how important spayed and Neutering your dog's are. Very good. Spread the word❤
I’m confused. They already had two dogs. Why did his daughter think he needed a third dog for his @peaceful” retirement?
....true!
I’m retired, and I have 3 . I’m 73 years old and live alone
@@FaithClark-b3t I didn’t mean to imply that three dogs is too many. Just that his daughter said she brought the dog home for her dad “for his retirement “. So I was surprised to see two dogs already there.
breeding - just a kind of comfort job they thought - but its great they allowed us to watch to learn - Happy New Year for all
he is so good now - could become a dog trainer within retirement - or dog walker for the shelter
I’m crying for these dogs . Thank you for raising awareness 🙏
Cry for some genuine reasons
Cesar, I need to share a story with you about my experience with Cat mats. I once had a Doberman pincher was very smart. He was narcotics detection and patrol. This Doberman was the smartest creature I’ve encountered. I had white furniture and my Doberman used to love lounging on the couch, so cause I didn’t want to put him in a kennel, so I used the scat mat. To my amazement, I came home and I found every cushion every pillow the blanket off of my bed pulled and placed on top of the scat mat, and who was on top of it, Sparky. He was so intelligent that he outsmarted the scat mar and me. lol 😂
😂😅😂, that is great!
Love this
This Ex cop just wants a dog that lays there and do nothing. This ex cop don’t want to take the responsibility to help the dog. This guy doesn’t want to get the dog fixed yet is will to get rid of the dog because of the behavior. Cesar should have just taken the dog to be part of his pack. Sad that there are owners like this jacks-s!
not the uncommon personality for a retired cop, though if the man wanted a couch potato dog he should've gotten a retired greyhound

This is one of my favorite episodes so far! I love how clear cut Cesar is about the responsibilities in pet ownership. The shelters and rescues are overwhelmed. Please spay and neuter your pets as soon as possible. Those beautiful dogs in the shelter will thank you for helping to save their lives. 😊
Thank you Cesar and team for!
“They want to breed him.” Wow… just wow. This is the problem with shelters. Irresponsible breeding.
If these people want to reproduce that awful dog, they are flippin' nuts.
They don’t care. All they are thinking about is the money they MIGHT make not realizing that most people don’t have the means to pay a few thousand for a dog. Smh
These people are too stupid to raise puppies.
@@Dasani_water_drinkerthat's the most foolish reason I ever heard. Have you not seen the amount of different high end breeds that are for sale?? There's thousands to be made off dogs. Yes the dogs need spay and neuter but your reasoning for breeding is not reality.
@@Dasani_water_drinkerI’m sure they’d have to nearly give the puppies away which isn’t a good start for most AND it sounds like they got the dog from the same situation. Just blows my mind why you’d want to breed to a problem dog to start with, never mind health testing, etc.
You could just see by the guys face. He doesn’t want to be taught. He doesn’t like being wrong. It’s not so much about training, dogs and more about training people. If the people aren’t willing to learn the bad behavior is going to continue.
And I have no sympathy...
Yes I was surprised he responded at all. I didn't think he would even try. Maybe he went ahead and tried it for her? But he sure did enjoy the outcome, because in my opinion, hes not the hugging kind
I didn't see that. I think he didn't know what to do with the dog, so he got frustrated and gave up. But when they learned what they needed to do, he became motivated and did it. At the end, he said they go for a walk every morning before he has his coffee.
He just doesn't want to move. He just wants to sit on the couch
Of course, I had the same impression of this gentleman as most in the comments. But please note how César helped him. In the first half of the film I noticed that the gentleman has a nervous tic and he seems to suffer from depression. That is very difficult for a person and no reason to talk down to someone but try to help. We don't know what he has seen and done in his job. If you notice, the tic is gone at the end of the episode! And the gentleman shows first glimpses of a better mood. I hope that with the help of his dog and his family this gets even better. ¡Gracias César, por ayudar no solo a los perros sino también a los humanos!
Thanks for pointing this out. It definitely gives you a different perspective.
@@saxiamondstern compassionate response. I noticed this too. The man is tired, very tired and likely depressed. I’m glad to see the spark in him after his sessions with Cesar.. I hope he continues to build the relationship with/Captain they will both greatly benefit !!
No excuses when you have another LIFE to be responsible for. Lazy is as lazy does.....
@@trishf2184 depression is not laziness. And he’s making an effort. Good for him. Your judgemental negativity is off putting
He said the dog issue was depressing him…
Dude just seems LAZY. Captain is such an easy dog! And let's be real Ted needs some walks too, like...a LOT.
Right! The just neuter the boy is not the magic fix and in some cases makes a dog more neurotic.
Similar to humans if you all of a sudden stopped the body from creating that natural male hormones in men and female hormones in women there is bad results. The owners should teach captains how to run beside them as they bicycle that way both owner & dog get the exercise they need.
Look at his shape, police in the state!
Looks like a chief wiggum type of cop
😂😂
He doesn't deserve that beautiful dog. And his energy is horrible, he comes across as somebody you don't want to be around
Wow 😢 What a gorgeous boy Captain is. Golden Retrievers are the happiest, easiest dogs in the world....literally all they want is gentle exercise, love and to feel secure. Such simple requirements. I recently lost my 14yr old Golden retriever and he was just a big gentle teddy bear like Captain. So glad Cesar was able to teach these owners what their beautiful dog needed from them.
Thank you very much, Cesar, for being an advocat to misunderstood and neglected dogs, who don´t have a voice, to defend themselves and their actions🥲!
That old man is fed up with the puppy, he just wants to lay down in his sofa and watch tv all day. That poor dog doesn’t belong with that family.
I agree Captain deserves better than this family
I definitely agree he isn't bothered he is lazy with the dog no rules he doesn't belong there!
This man had 0 motivation. He didn't only looked retired, he looked tired period
I wouldn't judge this guy too harshly. He probably had zero motivation because he didn't know what to do and after repeated failure, a lot of people just give up. After he learned what to do, he became more motivated & he did everything Cesar taught him.
‼️⚠️An energetic one-year-old dog is going to demand a lot of exercise and attention‼️ It's not for sedentary retirees! This man needs a lazy!🦥 This one doesn't bark and doesn't wreck the house!🤭🤣🤣 BRAVO Cesar for making it clear to this family that THEY are the problem and NOT the young Capitán!🎯👌
This dog is very smart. Destroying the remotes to protect his human friends from brainwashing and disinformation from tv.
👍👍
24:34 "he could serve and protect our community but not his own dog" well said cesar. Well said
I don’t have a lot of sympathy here.. You can tell this man just wants to enjoy his retirement, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. He’s more than earned it. The issue, is that if that’s what you wanted, then why get a brand new, young, working breed dog..? Make it make sense, please..
You're speaking my mind.
Unfortunately many ppl don’t understand what it takes to have a working breed and the physical exercise they require daily. Before ppl are allowed to purchase dogs especially working/power breeds the new owners should be educated on what’s it gonna take, and in the case of older, non athletic ppl they need to be asked who is going to exercise with your dog, not just a casual stroll around the block, but getting the dog to run full out. Cesar should have insisted these owners get a treadmill and Cesar should have trained Captain and his owners on using it instead of insisting on neutering.
@ 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
No sympathy here except for Captain.
The owner shows no interest in his dog at all.
They should have adopted a dog in the end stage of it's life. A big couch potato that just wants to chill out.
I’m on my 3rd dog and watched all the dog whisperer series. I always apply everything that Ceaser Milan teaches and without a doubt all 3 of my dogs have been and still are balanced and an absolut joy to be around. His technique never failed me nor my dogs. A huge thank you from me, my family and my dogs. 🐶 ❤
That's really good 👍👍
I will take Captain right now!! That is a great dog!
me too
Destruction started around seven or eight months. Gee, what else happens around seven or right months? Sexual maturity. DUH. Can we put 2 and 2 together please?
And you too went into destruction mode after sexual maturity? He just needs work or a lot of exercise to not get bored.
@ is that why Caesar spent so much time suggesting that they get him neutered to help modify his behavior? Is that why that was one of the FIRST questions he asked the daughter after being told how destructive the dog was? If non neutering had no relationship to the destructive behavior, why was it brought up in relation to such behavior so many times?
Methinks you might have an issue with neutering.
And oh yeah. He got neutered in the end anyway
And to answer your first question: Everyone knows when hormones kick in during adolescence that teens can become a handful. I did. This is not a secret.
@@helenespaulding7562 In the video his behavior changed before neutering - more walk helped to calm him down. And neutering by itself could lead to health problems in the future - obesity, for example. Plus he's not a pitbull or a mutt, but purebred, not aggressive, playful handsome guy - his pups would be gorgeous and very helpful for farmers, hunters or active life style families.
We rescued a female (spayed) Lab/Whippet mix. Sweetest dog ever, but that girl was a handful. She chewed up an ottoman, a couch cushion (it looked like a shark bite!), and was even about to eat Grandpa’s heirloom family Bible (caught her just in time)! We crated her when we weren’t home, which wasn’t very often. Most of the destruction would happen when I walked away for a quick bathroom break, or turned my back to answer a phone call. We walked her, played with her, got her SO MANY toys (she eradicated them in less than a minute). We found out she had intestinal issues and a lot of the chewing was from discomfort/stress. Once she felt better the chewing let up quite a bit. She’s a good girl, I’m glad we didn’t give up🧡
God bless always our dear Dog Whisperer. Thank you for all your videos. ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
Retiree was very tired, frustrated and depressed, in the beginning, which was obvious in the way he walked, talked and navigated his world. What a difference from beginning to end.
The dude was on going to be on TV and couldn't even wear shoes.

So much snark in the comments about the owners. I’ll point out they learned from their mistakes, and now have a happy situation.
I get really annoyed seeing self righteous people take pot shots at people they know nothing about, except to use cherry picked bits from a video to 💩 on them.
Cesar is the best. Most people need help understanding dogs. I can’t imagine Cesar would appreciate snarky, self righteous comments about the owners he helped.
Get over yourselves.
💯 Couldn't have said it better myself these people need to get off the horse they rode in on
What th f
Yeah I don’t understand how the commenters ignore the progress the owners made. Maybe they rushed to judge and didn’t watch the whole thing 🤷♀️
Cesar should have insisted on getting a treadmill for Captain.
Got work working dogs.
I think to do what you dog need is not easy... never.
but when you have 2 prior dogs from them you probably learn something and yet you best shot is to lock up your dog in your house and take the remote with you to not getting destroy and only giving 30 minutes of excersice 😐
then he is an ex cop he sure knows about street dogs yet didn't neutter 😐 expecting to make money then expect the dog figure it out by itself to behave.... I'm not a righteous person just can symphatice with the man my dog dosen't get well with other dogs I do not get them socialice enough and well that's totally my fault but I prevént a fight and missbehave problems by walk them regulary about 1-1:30 hrs and there are clear and firm límits in the house and just with that little he only have been in a fight twice in 12 years being alive.
It is ok to not want to have a dog it is ok to get mistakes but it is not ok to give up on you dog wich you agree to bring home without even try just because...
My admiration to Cesar who is concious of the family and the dog and find a middle ground for them to be happy
So glad the neutered. Thinking they might get rid of him but also wanting a descendant is a wild spectrum. We don’t need more dogs!
And dogs certainly don't need breeders like him, worst type to be raising pups.
So schade dass ihr nicht bei uns in Deutschland seit. Wir finden dich so toll.
So wahr
Cesar's latest project was training a trainer in his methods in interested countries. He guides them after training the trainer. I saw him do a couple of European countries and some in Asia.
I just started watching this episode and am hoping Cesar takes the dog with him. Permanently 😢
Love how people screw up and then want to surrender the problem to rescue.
Haven't you ever been in a situation where you didn't know what to do & got frustrated or discouraged and wished the problem would just go away? The important thing is that they didn't give up. They learned and did what Cesar taught them. What more can you ask?
@
That you do to puppy training so you know what to do, to stop problems from starting.
@@miriamrobarts Everyone has been in situations like that, but as adults we face our problems not palm them off to someone else to take care of.
Only children are exempt from this as they're supposed to be taught how to navigate the world, it's up to adults to be adults and take on the challenges life throws at us.
The notion of breeding Captain "to have his descendants" when they were at the same time thinking of giving him up is arghh so frustrating. Bet Captain is much calmer now that he's neutered
I get the distinct impression they adored Captain as the adorable puppy he was, doted on him and as soon as he needed to be worked with to grow into a well adjusted adult they just shut down and let him do his thing, which got him used to attention and now not understanding where the love went.
Cesar did another miracle. This dog is beautiful. Glad they were able to turn him around. And I agree with spay and neuter. It is the responsible thing to do.
Breeding means to breed the best of the best to make the breed worth re-creating. If they have behavioral problems with their dog, why ever would they want to recreate that personality in puppies. The sire and dam are the foundation for the litter.
Agree with breeding awesome pedigree psychological & medical traits. Captain has a great temperament and just needs an owner who can work a working dog. Cesar should have insisted on a treadmill for Captain & his owners to use daily along with training & outside activity.
Very true
mannn that ex cop seems like the type of dude that would skip paperwork and make you have to stay in jail for way longer because hes a lazy ass. Typical.

What excop's right nostril, closer to beginning of video I think, twitched like crazy.
What's that about?
Don't judge, he may have a depression as he mentioned at the beginning.

Our once feral GSD female loves to work. Sometimes there isn’t a job handy around the farm or house for her to do. So I assign her to keep up with a cotton glove. She loves it! She carries it everywhere she goes, even on patrol or on gate watch. She is turning into a valuable asset for us. And a joy to live with. She, her mother, and four siblings were thrown out on a road. She is the sole survivor. Such a waste of beautiful animals that bring so much into our lives. Thank you, Misfit Shepherds, for rehabilitating this beautiful girl for us!!
Maybe an older dog from a shelter would have been a better idea. ❤
Exactly.
The owner is a retired police officer & likely very tired. You can see it in his face & demeanor. He’s rising to the occasion regardless & is now ready to invest in this relationship with his dog. It will help him transition in retirement & give far more reward than he understands right now. Good for him & them both!! Continue on this path!! Thx Cesar❤
I see he’s an asshat always has been and I guarantee he doesn’t have this girlfriend or dog anymore. He’s a horrible human.
Ted is a retired police officer, but apparently wanted to be retired from anything that resembles work. Dogs are like children, they require attention, discipline, adequate diet, and exercise...It's not all showering them with love and snuggles. It's work. Many either don't want to, don't know how, or both. A child raised like this would be a beast no one would want to be around, a dog, even less.
I agree with you, but it's important to recognize what people are doing now, not the mistakes they made before. Once he learned what he should be doing, he did what Cesar taught him. He should be congratulated not disparaged. It's not easy to admit that you're wrong and change your ways, but he did it.
My whole day revolves around Captain…bruh, you’re retired
Was part of his “peaceful retirement” going to be having their income bolstered by stud fees? good grief
Yeah, I wondered that too
That's what they thought
That cop wants a dog he can just feed, and breed because of greed. Personally he doesn't deserve that dog.
That was true at the beginning, but he changed by the end. People can learn and change.
Es wäre super, wenn keine Tiere mehr gezüchtet würden. Es gibt so viele Hunde und Katzen im Tierheim und sie sind wunderbar.❤
CRATE?! 2:40
Yes I wondered about this 😊
I had a wonderful golden retriever that I got when he was 8 weeks old. I got some good training books and spent the summer training him and kept up the training when necessary. I never got him neutered because I thought of breeding him but never did.
He never chewed up things like this dog did and I feel it’s because of the training and getting him the exercise he needed.
Training is soooo important, male or female.
Everyone told me if I ever needed a dog sitter to call them, Casey was the best and I really miss him.
The family and the dog are not a match.
I have a 9 month old golden retriever and I am strict on his training, the most he ever gets a hold of are used tissues and socks, the period between 8 months and 1.5 years is crucial for their training and transition to a well adjusted dogs. Golden retrievers are high energy dogs who are very taks driven and if they have nothing to do and no commands then that energy will be dispersed through destructive behaviors.
The dog and the retired policeman seem to be doing better together after the course with Cesar. They're both getting out and exercising. It calms the dog and lifts the owner's mood.
Adoro o Cezar ele é perfeito 😅
This couple wants to breed the dog, well what would you do with puppies and you couldn’t even handle the one dog you had. Make it make sense people
You are a gift to this world.
Dogs learn like humans and can be taught to behave if guided correctly..
I have 10 rescued street dogs, all adults when I got them except one who was a pup ..
They are free in the house and are super well behaved, from experience it takes about 2 months to get a dog to fully settle and understand the rules and training starts the moment they enter the house.. You have to literally watch them all the time during that period and gently guide them to what's OK and not, its amazing how they learn.
My dogs don't get on the furniture, don't destroy anything and are even trained to poop on the designated backyard lawn rather than pooping wherever they like ..
Once they get the rules and boundaries its plain sailing from then on and its so worth it..
I used Cesar's techniques through the years and they work .. Its never the dogs fault its we who mishandle them and then complain about the bad behaviour..
It breaks my heart to hear about all the dogs that will be euthanized through no real fault of their own.
Love the way people act all surprised seeing Caesar whilst his film crew is there filming the “surprise “ 🤣🤣🤣
Another great video by Cesar. Dogs are an investment in time, energy and finances too.. it’s not magic. The rewards of properly investing in the education of your dog is immeasurable. Bravo to this couple who are making the effort!!❤️❤️❤️💪🏼💪🏼👍🏼
I started training my mastiff at six weeks old. In two weeks she was fully house broken, knew sit, down, stay, come and basic commands. I taught her to walk on a leash and always stay with me. People wait too long to begin training and let bad behaviors get out of control because ….. She/he’s just a puppy. So ridiculous. At maturity, my mastiff knew verbal, hand signals and we also worked in the dark. She was a serious force to be reckoned with and would have protected myself and my children with her life.
I agree. Training begins the moment you get the puppy.
Well said 👍
@@vernss3092 Absolutely. They get trained and become bonded with you faster also. They love the closeness, the activity and feel part of you and your life.
And spaying & neutering is Not the magic fix. Great training is key.
@@StarkK9Academy Exactly. I knew when she was grown I’d never be able to control her physically. I was around 106 lbs and she got to 170 quickly and wasn’t at all overweight. Most intelligent dog I ever had and learned extremely fast.
This retired officer just doesn't need this dog. Some people need to be honest with what they want. He just wants to relax and enjoy his life in his latter years and there is nothing wrong with that. So, just don't get a new dog. I'm not mad at him for not having the energy and patience to deal with the dog, i'm mad that he got the dog.
Excelente programa mil gracias 🎉🎉🎉
Captain is actually a very good dog and easy to train. I think before people get a puppy they should read up on how to train it so they don't run into all these very avoidable issues.
17:58 anyone else think he’s going to the window to start jumping? 😂
Absolutely
You are doing well bro. You are unique -- this field.
Melhor de todos os tempos
Thank God for daughter and stepmom. That gorgeous dog would be at the pound or worse.
1 million dogs murdered every year!!! That’s so devastatingly sad😢
The only silver lining is that the numbers are rapidly going down, thanks to wider access to information, adopt and neuter/spaying. The exact same thing is happening with feral populations of cats and dogs too.
it makes my heart to 1000 pieces when I think of so many beautiful animals in the hands of those who don't deserve them at all. This Golden Retriever is a Golden pet but the owner doesn't know the value of him.
Cesar is a great man!!!!
Beautiful video! So helpful, inspirational . Bravo and thank you for sharing your gifts with all of us.
The husband has NO ENERGY, almost depressed. No vibes at all
I love the Great 👍🏻 outcome. I am happy for Ted now he could take it easy. Upon the beginning of the show he really look exhausted you could see it on his face. After the training Ted look much better.
I may not always remember to hit the Like or leave a comment but I absolutely love watching Cesar working with dogs and the information I learn about being a pet owner.
Doing well, guy is healing through what is better for the dog. Great dog.
What a beautiful doggie, still a pup, not a bad bone in his body.
Thank you 🙏
I've loved all of the videos, but this was the most useful episode for me because most of us have mundane problems. We have a energetic, excitable, loving (everyone and every dog, too much) Lab and now I know about dog backpacks so she can work on walks. Awesome.
Cesar had the old man smiling in the end, that's a win.
I’m glad everything worked out with that family ❤
He's such a beautiful dog and walking is something you have to do if you're going to get a dog ❤
Love ya Ceasar from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤️ happy new year 🎉🎉🎉🎉
