I have learned with Cesar a lot about my self, managing and controlling my emotions, energy, security, self-esteem, peace, calmness, and behavior to be a better strong leader, mother, wife and person in my life. Thank you very much ❤
15-20 years ago, when I was in vet school, I heard this from Cesar: "I am training humas and reabilitating dogs....". Since then I have been training humans to be good vets and enjoing the odd patiants that nobody wants to examine, as they do not understand their behaiviour (not even try to understand). Thank you Cesar for giving me what the vet school did not offer me, and still does not includ in the curriculum: true practical leadership skills, not just theory.
I'm glad you said it. I've always wondered why it wasn't a part of the education. I sometimes see the technicians at my vet completely not know how to even bring a dog from the lobby to the back without chaos. Poor dogs are so stressed. It's crazy and hard to watch. 😩😆
Excellent job! I walked a pack with an insecure pack leader (3 windhounds) and not being the owner it was difficult when I had not spotted the threat he was suddenly faced with. His problem was with other dogs, because he had been bitten multiple times being a non-aggressive bread (saluki) I would normally alert him to any dogs, but sometimes there was a corner in the city or dog owner that would allow their dog to run free. It was a mayhem when the rest of the pack reacted to the pack leaders's alert before I could do anything. And if anybody has been at the other end of three windhounds (all above 55cm, the pack leader being above 70cm), they will know that the power in their slender legs is ridiculous. They look like a ballerina and they are as strong as ballerinas. Aside of this, my suggestion is the develop a command where you alert them to a threat and take command at the same time. I used his full name with the 'r' sound and then 'calm'.
I'm so happy for Erin, she did so well.. it made me very emotional to see her walking in to the event at the end so confident and proud. You should be very proud of yourself Erin 🎉
It was SUCH a visible change. She really looked like a new person. I think she had really fallen down into some deep depression after experiencing some issues that led this to happening. Amazing to see the change happen so fast.
At first, she couldn't even walk 3 paces without her dog cutting in front of her!!! Her energy was way too weak to be an owner of1 Saint Bernard let alone 2, but she pulled it together! Good for her!💙
I met a rescue dog on a remote walk in Scotland in July! Immediately the owners warned us off - "she bites"! Their fear sparked her off growling/barking! I stayed back explained pack mentality! Got the owners in a calm state, then asked them to keep a loose lead. The beautiful girl settled & I took the lead. Told the owners to sit - stay! Then took her as pack leader for a loop walk in the owners vision! No pulling, biting, no aggression! I've had dogs for 53yrs & train them. After the walk she layed down & showed her belly! Owners were amazed. So, I said "walk with me!" I'll show you how to lead! What a lovely experience, they said they couldn't walk her in town & were about to return her! Referred them to this channel as I live 5 hrs away & couldn't personally train them. Usual problem - humans!
People need that realization that they're making mistakes, but that doesn't mean that they're bad. Or even the dog. Having your dog love you that much that it realizes you aren't strong enough to defend yourself and it wants to keep you safe at all costs should be a heart warming thing! That's love!! And that is a great foundation to start building upon and making the necessary corrections. Love dogs ❤

When you introduce new members , to ANY herd , or pack , or flock of animals, it ALWAYS changes the dynamic ... ALWAYS. Sometimes it's not for the better either.
Finally a normal response. “My kids come first”. We have cats and a dog….but they are animals. Sure we love them and my sweet cat cuddles with me at night but good grief my kids come first. People started treating their animals like people.. I don’t have a problem with dressing up your dog or pampering them but my goodness people need to put the brakes on a little bit sometimes. I love that Cesar always makes that distinction. They are animals and they come after humans. I was talking about this to someone and they asked me if I’d ever lost a pet. Yeah I have but in 2014 our nine-year-old daughter went to heaven. If anyone ever tries to compare the loss of an animal to the loss of my child…..They have the wrong emotions towards animals. I’ve never met a mom or a dad who has walked through child loss and compared that loss to an animal. I’m not saying they don’t exist but good grief. That’s the whole point of being a pack leader and actually leading your dogs in the right way of behaving. Dogs behave badly because their pack leaders. don’t know how to teach them otherwise. Ironically, Parents can also teach bad behavior to kids without leading them comparing the two is something that my brain cannot comprehend. People have said maybe we didn’t have close relationships with our pets and so we don’t understand. After our daughter passed away, her seizure dog was still around and a couple years later she passed away. Was it sad? Absolutely and yeah, there were tears. But it was more so the loss of another piece of my daughter. They are not the same.
Maybe, but there's a huge difference between rehoming a dog that needs more leadership because you can't prioritize them, and what way too many people do, which is to slaughter or abandon their dog because they're too weak and irresponsible to give them the proper leadership. Both are technically examples of someone prioritizing their human children, but at the end of the day, if you can only give guidance to your kids and don't have the bandwidth to be a pack leader, just do the kind thing and wait to get a dog until your kids aren't prey animals. Also, I think the tragedy of loss is specifically different because of the natural order of things. Even back when we were nomadic hunter-gatherers our children were meant to outlive us, whereas our dogs come into our lives as temporary partners with extremely limited lifespans. It's a deal we agree to when we take an animal into our lives that one day we'll lose them (except maybe parrots) but nobody ever expects to outlive their child. Anyway, I'm sorry for your loss.
I'm really sorry about your daughter. I lost stillborn twins, as well as two other stillbirths and a number of miscarriages, Heaven came through with one child eventually. And she demanded a dog. Which her father bought her when she was 5 and they grew up together. Eventually tho, time came for Junior and he went. The pain was from the time we all spent as a family, the loss is still palpable. I bow before your loss.

Thank you for continuing to document the ones you help because even though we don't all have the amazing opportunity to work with you , this gives us the chance to still learn from your experience and try to become better pack leaders.
All these big beautiful st. Bernard in one place. I want to be there too. So beautiful, I hope she gets control of her dogs so she can come to the dog park with them..🤩
Except for when it IS just "the dog"😂 I've raised many dogs that were just naturally aggressive for whatever reason. When they were 100% "raised" to be friendly, social dogs. Can't train or love genetic instincts out of a dog!! Dogs in this video, doing exactly what they're supposed to..
Ive had multiple St bernards concurrently since 1992 and in all this time Ive NEVER owned an aggressive Saint! Mine all came from show breeders, 3 of them imported from Europe. The smaller dog in the video that lunges looks more like a Saint mixed with something else, the small size, long muzzles I see suggest backyard breeding, father/daughter, brother/sister type breedings.
"When you identify the people who are the problem and remove them, you remove the problem" wow I can't believe that Cesar just dropped that wisdom in here. I have been saying this for so long after so many situations where there are individuals who keep causing problems but it's never addressed until someone reacts poorly and then suddenly it's the person reacting to the problem who's blame instead of the instigators
Yrs ago, my husband would come home from work & we had 3 or 4 GSD's right at the gate. He'd get frustrated. I tought him to 'no touch, no eye contact, no talk'. Just walk through them all. Dogs had to wait to be greeted when husband said so. I've been breeding & training most of my life & avoided fear of other dogs attacking mine. Now, I am assertive towards any dog who seems aggressive towards mine. Blocking comes in handy & we don't avoid that action from another's dog. I address it. Now 77, I still have a wonderful visit with other people's dogs to help that handler to allow our dogs meet & greet without fear. The handler is a amazed their dog greeted well & my GSD didn't eat their dog, lol! Cricket is very popular in our community. Lots of tips from Cesar through out the years, thank you! I would love Cesar to get a visit moment with Cricket.
The most important part of this, for those that might not understand,at the end,she walked up and said "you wanna see what I can do?" Thats the confident, strong leadership that was needed. The apprehension is gone and until the apprehension is gone, you can't lead.
I'm impressed she not only realized her behavior was the problem but she went all in to fix it. She did great!!

I can see that I have some work to do to try and not be fearful, stressed or nervous.
Thank you for continuing to document the ones you help because even though we don't all have the amazing opportunity to work with you , this gives us the chance to still learn from your experience and try to become better pack leaders.
Another wonderful teaching moment! You're awesome, Cesar!💯🇺🇸💯
God bless you for the work you do!
I realized that Cesar trains people more than he does dogs.
Learning so much about being a dog owner watching these videos😊
All these big beautiful st. Bernard in one place. I want to be there too. So beautiful, I hope she gets control of her dogs so she can come to the dog park with them..🤩
It made me happy to see her use the dog to become confident in herself.
It was cool to gain the support from a local club.
Good job Ceaser.
Love your channel Ceasar, and of course we love you!
It’s not the dogs, it’s the person! Let’s watch!
They just needs right training
Yaaaaas booooch
Let's go cindy loo!
@@mikefrost1312it's the person's fault though. If you have a high energy breed you need to give it high stimulus.
Such beautiful dogs.
What a great story! Thank you Cesar!
Thanks for all you do for dogs and people.
Great job, Erin!
You are just the best Cesar! Such good advise and content
How many of you here, like me, are not dog owners and yet are hooked to watching Ceasar at work 😃
I’ve never seen an aggressive St Bernard, fortunately.
Oh, bless Cesar for showing up unannounced!
Cesar is the epitome of an expert. Better than most psychiatric pros.
Being in the dog rescue and adoption business, hope Erin was not making the same mistake of matching the dogs to the wrong owner.
wow you can really tell how much confidence she gained from this
The big boy getting blamed for nothing 😂 he just wants to relax like the rest of them
The change is amazing. Well done
🌻Caesar, you are amazing.
What an eye opener. I’m the problem with my dog too. I’m going to consciously relax when I walk my dog and see if it helps.
"Fear is crippling" Amen girl!!!
What a sweetheart. Great job 👍💯
I love Cesar Millan 💛
i love his shows he is the best 😄
You are a fantastic teacher Ceaser ❤
❤That's fact it doesn't get better than this.... ❤ What a beautiful life to live ❤
I wish I had a dog and I wish it was acting badly so I could meet Cesar! 😂 He is such a phenomenal person! I watch all his shows!
Erin is super cute !!❤❤
I tried this technique on my wife and she punched me 🤪
Calm assertive energy? I doubt you did that right
Is your wife a Saint Bernard?
😂😅😂!
Thank you Caesar!❤
I find walking as if I’m on a catwalk - head high, confident stride, determined attitude - helps me with my two large dogs, when I’m on a dog walk.
The most important part of this, for those that might not understand,at the end,she walked up and said "you wanna see what I can do?"
Thats the confident, strong leadership that was needed.
The apprehension is gone and until the apprehension is gone, you can't lead.
As usual, it's never the dogs, it's always the owner.
Love this episode, the details!❤
