It is sad to see so many architectural wonders like that all across Ireland, getting damaged and eventually collapsing. They should be maintained as part of Ireland's heritage.
Agreed, I think they would need to be handed over to the state to the OPW and Heritage Ireland for a refurbishment project. This one is private. He has a website on the estate laying out his plans for the future. Who knows will these come to lihtj or not. I would like to think that they will. Check out www.woodlawn-estate.com/
So sad to see this once beautiful home just rotting away, where there used to be the hustle and bustle of every day living, now all alone, decaying alone in the countryside. These homes were built to last with craftsmen doing it all by hand. The house a monument😢 of the men who built it turned to ashes as this will become in a few years.
Beautifully done. Yes it would be nice to keep these houses but what are you looking at 10 million? Would you even do it for that? Our local 'big house' Ardgillan took over two years and massive work just to replace the roof and windows, no idea what that work cost, but it wasn't cheap!
@@irelandshistoricalspots You should check out Ardgillan. The castillations are faux (red brick) but the original house goes back to the 1740's. There are a few videos on you tube. You did a lovely job filming Woodlawn House.
@sionnachog894 thanks for that. Yeah I enjoyed recording Woodlawn. Been there a few times over the years. Thanks for the recommendation, that is how I find many places!

Thank you sir!
Nice flying, filming, and editing. You've captured it brilliantly. Well done. I wouldn't mind flying there
Thank you!! It's a fine place. Plenty of space around for flying so it's ideal 👌

It sure is, unfortunately, there are too many around the country like this. Maybe not the the Grand scale as this, but sad all the same!
Beautifully done.
Thank you sir! Appreciate the comment as it helps the wee channel to grow!
