That Triple XQ stuff from what others have said is just rebadged Shell stuff. I've not used the Triple QX PD oil for mine as the Quantum PD stuff from VAG is cheaper. It used to be made by Castrol, but changed in the last year or so, to another manufacturer...Can't remember which. I wasn't aware of the problem on the inlet manifolds either. All the best 👍
Hi, the difference may be the viscosity and the temp resistance for each oil, each engine has his power and his "heat" so it needs different specs of lubricity, there are some various factors
6 years or 90,000 miles, whichever comes first, so yes just after 140,000km. I would advise getting them done as the cost of a belt failure on a KV6 would be astronomical.
Bad suggestion to remove the butterflies. The manifold setup was carefully designed by MGR to get the best performance and economy from the KV6, don't bodge it.
Aside from the inlet manifold rattleing away the KV6 makes a beautiful noise.
Thanks, great video

I have a kv6 auto 65k it slams into lower gears just started....would that be a sensor ? Thanks...
Great video as always. Question, why do engines need different oil? What's the difference?

Looks like a clean motor. Is it the 2.0 V6 or the 2.5?
2.0 KV6
Oh, Mr Coleman, the VIS system shall be replaced in due time.
With a stainless steel version. Sounds great!
@@gooburrum , it was replaced with one from a donor 45 V6 a few weeks ago. No more irritating ticking noises upon start up!
Hi, do you know when is the timing belt replacement service in a Rover 75 V6 2.5? 140.000km? Thank you.

I have a KV6 with noise in the manifold, how can I fix it?
Change it. Sooner rather than later.
