  • North Shore Camping at Judge Magney State Park in Minnesota along the North Shore. In this video we give you a great review of the Judge Magney State Park Campground. We take you with us camping on the North Shore as we check out all there is to do along Route 61.
This small but wooded campground is nestled near one of the most amazing waterfall hikes in the North Shore, Devils Kettle Falls. We take you through all the features of the campground and surrounding areas. We explore the Devils Kettles Falls and give you tips on why this is a great spot to stay to see things like Isle Royale National Park, Grand Morais, Grand Portage, and the convenience to visit Thunder Bay Canada from this great campground.

Sometimes those lesser known parks are pretty cool. Those sites really are large! Boondocking is tough, though, but it's nice that you're set up for it. Ha ha ha! You almost fooled me with the pit toilets vs the flush ones. That makes a huge difference. State Park passes are definitely essential. We love, love, love Grand Marais!!! Oh, cool, you went to Isle Royale. I'm jealous. Glad you made a video of that experience. I can't wait! That's on our bucket list for sure.

Looks like a great boondocking state park even with the spotty service. Good tip on getting the parks pass. That's not a bad price for it. They have a lot to do in the area; even if for most of it you had to drive a little. Love the restaurant. The waterfalls from the trail in the park was great. That's a lot of steps.

It was ideal for boondocking for sure. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.

I made reservations at the Split Rock Lighthouse State Park towards the end of June. I will be visiting the state parks and Waterfalls up and down the north shore and maybe 1 or 2 great restaurants. Can't wait for this adventure.

Not a bad place to stay. Anywhere with a water fall can not be bad. Take it they have the normal quiet times for generators.

I do believe Minnesota SP do not allow generators at all. Though they do have the usual 10-8 quiet times. Thank you for watching TJ & Red

when did you shoot this video? I live 70 miles north of Duluth and we don't even have buds on the trees yet, much less full foliage and the ice is still on the inland lakes.

This video was shot as part of our 10+ week summer adventure, this past summer. By the time we shoot travel, edit and post we are months behind "actual time" mostly because we have full time jobs and this is just a side passion.
Thank you for watching and hopefully spring comes your way soon! TJ & Red
