Do you think those belly weighted screw lock hooks for swimbaits would work on the soft plastic frogs instead of the frog hooks? I don’t have any of those, but I do have Swimbait hooks haha. And yes, fishing and thinking about fishing is great therapy and great for keeping your mind off of the crap going on right now

Ok so after watching some older videos, I dropped the order on the speed demon pro rod and reel. Went with the 7 med fast. Frog rod was right there but I was a lil unsure on a heavy fast. Love all the content as always. If it turns out crappy I'm going to blame you anyways. LMAO.

I like the Japanese boa buzzbait by mega bass. I saw Oklahoma’s worst angler use it so i decided to. It’s the only buzzbait I can catch fish on but it is a little expensive so I only could get one.

Pain Weaver I mean I’ve been catching fish on the same white Googan buzzbait for about a year now. Easily almost hundred fish now, so I think it’s proved itself
Buzzbait talk; I know they are pretty over hyped, but I gave the googan buzzbait a shot. I got an all black and they seem to run really well and are a good size even for the river dinks I hook into around here.
Those Jordan lee craws look awesome and the heavy cover hooks are an awesome tip, I do all bank fishing in a lot of cover I think they’ll help tremendously
Booyah buzz bait (not the squelcher) has been my best friend for about a year. I do not use it with a soft plastic, but, I will put a trailer hook on it if they short strike it.

If you want to get good at a technique, take only that out with you. You'll quickly pick up where it works and where it doesn't. Otherwise, it's just down to putting a lot of time in on the water. GO HAWKS!

I'm in the same buzzbait boat. I have an old Strike King model that I've had probably 15 years at least and it's always been my favorite but the original skirt rotted a couple years ago and it just doesn't seem to be the same with different replacement skirts or soft plastics I've tried. I just love the blade design and how it runs though compared to every other buzzbait I've used. The KVD Toad Buzz has probably come the closest to replacing it, but a nice 3.5 pounder over the summer mangled the wire and I haven't been able to get it to track consistently. I've been seeing a lot of hype for the new Megabass Jamaica Boa so that one might be worth a look for you. Sadly Megabass stuff is just too pricey for me personally.

Awesome stuff man. I tell you what I too have struggled to find a perfect buzz bait but I think I may have found it with the megabass I can’t believe I spent 16 bucks on a buzzbait but it is killer. Also I recently found the strike king gurgle toad junior and it has been money on my war eagle skirtless. I also like the D&M easy roller it’s more of a “finesse” buzzbait has a plastic quad blade.
I noticed you have been buying a lot of Berkley stuff have you tried the Choppo? I prefer them to whopper ploppers especially in the small 90 size. I use War Eagle buzz baits they run true and are squeaky also. Im very curious how tose powerbait craws work for you, they look great but Im wondering how long the claws will stay attached to the body.

I like the sound effects you have added! I have a couple of questions about lures. Why are light colored lures/plastics used on bright sunny days and dark colors used on dark cloudy days? Why are lures with rattles used when you have to be quite to not scare fish away? You have great information on all types of fishing techniques and I learn so much! Thanks!

I have survived Stage 4 Cancer twice in the last five years. It has really taken the wind out of my sails. But I started fishing last year and watching videos. I can now say that these videos really do keep the crazy political, covid laden circus out there behind.The only thing you need to figure out is what those bass are biting. It's more fun than figuring out people. LOL

You know you're dealing with a good old Iowa boy when they drop "caddy whampus" on ya. I'm a big fan of the Ned Rig so far. Definitely one of my go-tos! Hopefully the warmer Iowa weather keeps the top water bite up this weekend. Picking up a new rod for chatterbaits and spinnerbaits this week. The plan is to have a frog, chatterbait, and a ned rig ready to go. Anxious to see how those EWG Ned Rig hooks for ya. A nice alternative to the typically Texas Rig. The HD Craws look great too. The Culprit buzzbait runs true and works like a charm. I switch the skirt for more confidence w/ a hand tied one or a 6th sense skirt. Awesome camera work too!

I was looking to try out the 6th Sense suspending lipless baits but unfortunately they are not in stock. I use lipless a lot in the fall sand winter with good success but never use a suspending version. Have you ever tried them and could you recommend a brand other than 6th Sense?

Good stuff, if you want to try another Buzz Bait, give the MegaStrike Cavitron a try. I started using them a few years ago and now they’re all I use.
Try big bite baits kamikaze on a chatterbait.....killer!!! Not to mention amazing colors

The googan squad hummer is by far the best buzz bait I've ever used they are on the smaller side but I've had fantastic luck with them

Lots of great reel options around $100. I'd go with an aluminum framed reel. It will last a lot better in the long run!

For Buzzbaits highly recommend the Strike King Hack Attack Buzzbait. Have had great success with them and only $5 a piece at Academy.

I have tried the choppo. I like it but just watch the hard tail. I've almost busted two off.

The Culprit buzzbait runs true and works like a charm. I switch the skirt for more confidence w/ a hand tied one or a 6th sense skirt. Awesome camera work too!

I was looking to try out the 6th Sense suspending lipless baits but unfortunately they are not in stock. I use lipless a lot in the fall sand winter with good success but never use a suspending version. Have you ever tried them and could you recommend a brand other than 6th Sense?
I haven't ever used a suspended lipless crank. Only jerkbaits.
