I think you're missing one big possibility here:
At 600,000,000 cubic feet and "only" 170,170 lbs., Fat Al has a density of about 0.0003 lbs/ft^3. This is 40 times less dense than helium, and 20 times less dense than hydrogen.
That means you could just strap a gondola underneath Fat Al, and have Weird Al and all his friends ride the world's largest blimp all the way from LA to Boston.

You have a few other options, but for all of them we're gonna have to categorize Fat Al as freight, though that won't be a problem if you're chopping him up anyway.
Freight trucking hauls on jobs of this magnitude regularly (tens of millions of cubic yards), albeit over a long amount of time. The job would take at least a year or two depending on the seasons and trucking supply, but that's the price you have to pay for shipping someone as massive as Fat Al. Using freight trains would be a similar story.
Alternatively, you could probably try a container ship, they haul insane payloads and there's enough of them to make the trip happen. Again, time would be your largest constraint, as you'd essentially have to go through some canal or across the planet to get him there.
Lastly, you could head development on teleportation technology and use the results to ship Fat Al across the country, but we'd once more be looking at a pretty expensive time commitment.
As for his friends, going by train is probably the most feasible, there's no reason not to split the two components up, as it wouldn't make sense otherwise.

You neglected to mention some of the slower options in the video.
If we dont have much time pressure, you could store fat al on passenger ships, or cruise liners, along with all his friends.
Alternatively, you could try to compress fat al to take up less volume, as he's not that dense which might result in a mangable number of trains or planes. Although... It might be more efficient to categorize the chopped up fat al bits as freight. They'd probably be rather easy to cram into boxcars or stack on a flatcar.
Although, I'd just compress him to fit in a few freight trains, or planes. Im sure he'll be fine.
