Can someone tell me why the pain doesn’t go below the knee in stenosis ? Isn’t the entire cord going to be affected ?

that will depend on where the nerves are narrow through bone fusion or pressed by surrounding discs. L4-L5 will give that through the knee, calf and heel. not below knee might mean mild symptoms. i have moderate and it's brutal all the way, daily.
