- The man with the single most appearances in World's Strongest Man history had to start somewhere! Back in 2004, the then unknown Felix began his famous WSM career.

Mark FELIX is a LEGEND
I look at Mark today, and am completely amazed. From coming last in almost every competition when he first started, to becoming a household name in WSM, and holding several World Records, and competing consistently since his 30's, now at 55 years old, and still going strong.
THAT is the definition of dedication, perseverance and discipline!

What is this scoring system?? Everybody gets 5 points and winner gets 6 🤣
The qualifiers in that year’s world strongest man was different, there was only 12 competitors instead of 30 nowadays, there were 11 events including Deadlift, squat lift, medley, truck pull and farmers walk. the events were all head-to-head competitions, for example Mark Felix will face Magnus in the medley but will face a different opponent in a Deadlift, and that is the same for all of the competitors. For point scoring, The contestants will receive points depending on how well they do the events, for example if you complete the Full distance of the farmers walk, you will receive five points, but if you don’t complete the course your points will be determined by how far you make it up the course, however you can score an extra point if you do better than your opponent (e.g faster time, more repetitions and further distance than your opponent). The final of that year’s world strongest man did not have the same points system however.

Don Pope from Cleveland Ohio beat Felix in 2006. Pope Kept Felix from the podium by defeating him in the Atlas Stones. Pope was 3rd, Pudz 2nd, Pfister World's Strongest Man
