Johnny sounds like me when it comes to assembling things, like him I’m absolute 💩 at it and I would have paid whatever to avoid doing it as well Brilliant show as ever Lads 😂👍👏❤️
I just didn't buy what the Skelton's were saying about Langer Dan last year. The betting told the tale. I don't mind getting a horse well handicapped, but don't go on about "he's such a funny horse, he came to himself last week" etc...
The bookies never offered anything better than 14/1 on Langer Dan last year. The form said 25/1 to 33/1. Aboslute joke. The form the Stayers Hurdle says 50/1 and look at the price. I did back unexpected party at 40/1 last year.
He is running like a dog and going for the Stayers. No way they can get his mark down for a handicap. The horse has always come good in the spring since the first time I backed him the Victoria Cup at Sandown. After Mullins fiddle the weight on Golopin De Champ to beat Langer Dan in the Martin Pipe, I bet Dan Skelton said two can play at that game, and I don't blame him with all weight fiddles pulled off by Mullins and other Irish trainers.
@@michaeloconnor9465That’s because he has another horse called major fortune that will be in time be found out to be the new Langer Dan. Everyone concerned about Langer Dan can’t see what he is doing with major fortune
dunwoody was a crook. he used to arrange one race a week [ fix a race] usually 5 or 6 runners and all the jockeys would have £1,000 on . that was their so called pocket money for the week.
Dunwoody was brilliant,Conor o Dwyer great jockey, francome, scudamore,of that era were all fantastic obviously Ruby ,Barry,AP ,and Adrian maguire all magnificent jockeys.
That French horse which won at Chepstow over Christmas (now retired) only appeared to enhance his stud value. The French, unlike English and Irish, are not interested in "prestige" 🎉
Johnny is obviously not an ew thief. I believe the idea of the question is that if there is a small field, say 6 or 7 runners, you could get ew the first 3 on a big price, even with non runner no bet. Something like Hewick at 40/1 or The Real Whacker at 66/1 would be my pick. Then pray Fact or File and Banbridge go the Ryan Air route.
Unfortunately I didn’t reckon on this horse being as good as he is last week, but after seeing him on Sunday then I’ve had to have a rethink. Good ground could be quite important to him and the opposite could be said about angels dawn as she will be more effective when the mud is flying
You have to laugh at Johnny. He finally puts up a decent ante-post selection, and then goes lukewarm on it. Sounds Victorious would be 66-100/1 if trained by a A Nobody. Crazy that it's half the price of a horse who finished placed in a Challow. Should have thought about Kargese not settling before putting it up. If it can't settle over two miles what chance over further? Got to hope Potters Charm doesn't run at the weekend. Very little to gain, but Twiston-Davies probably stupid enough to run. Much better to go to the Festival a relatively fresh horse. Notable absentees from the entries (at least in my book): no surprise, but Handstands, as a much more obvious stayer than The Jukebox Man, really should be in the Brown Advisory, and if they wanted a chance to win at the Festival, Califet En Vol should have been entered in the Albert Bartlett.
@ are for real, I’m watching it for last 3 weeks and without any evidence of bets made he has won every week, bullshite after timing, one winner he said he had Jennings reminded him he’d put up a different horse in that race, comedy gold. He just named the 4 greatest jockeys ever without mentioning John Francome, as I said he’s comedy gold.
@@johndonnelly3135 JD had no reason to lie. Has been punting and laying for years. He's admitted himself he's had winning and losing weeks. Talked about a 6/1 winner which he also backed at 12s in running, and he would have had a lumpy bet on Jonbon, which he told us last week was a stone cold certainly. You can accuse Johhny of many things, but aftertiming isn't one of them
@ I hate to state the obvious but in the competition with Jennings where they have to put up their horse before the race Jennings is €180 in profit and the after timing bullshitter is €180 in loss, proof that it’s easier get winner’s after the race. Be hey if you buy his bullshite that’s your choice.
Frank The reason I won’t be backing constitution hill again is that it’s my belief that he is a horse with an underlying issue that can possibly rear its head again, particularly in the heat of battle. I just have it in the back of my head that when he has to strain every sinew which he should do in a champion hurdle, then his possible ailments may come against him. To be opposing him you need strong competition and the best chance of him coming unstuck is when there are two highly credible opponents and also if the ground rode soft or even worse. There will be races where there’s no opposition but if there is I feel he may be vulnerable. When you are opposing him you are hoping that he’s not at his best because when he is then he’s unbearable
Jonny says a horse for the hunters chase, and it is cut by the bookies in minutes. Are people watching this running to back everything Jonny says, or are the bookies scared.
Enjoyable chat but I’m concerned that JD gets paid for this as a supposed expert who spends the whole week watching the racing! Most of us mere mortals can select shorties in novice hurdles where only 2 effectively have a decent chance. Come on JD, give us some proper insight!
Outrageous shout. You don't even know what the favourites will be yet but there will be 28 races. I would be amazed if you're anywhere near with this shout - you could double it and I'd be amazed if there's less.
Is it not so obvious what's going to happen ? Lossiemouth beats con hill this weekend and then con hill drifts to a backable price for the champion hurdle and all the dopes on itv are crying when he wins the champion hurdle 😅

DJ said “I’d imagine Windbeneathmywings go straight to the champion bumper”. He actually has to go straight there to be illegible due to the number of runs he’s already had.
Maybe someone can clarify but reading the rules, my understanding is that this horse is not eligible for the Champion Bumper. The rule reads as follows…. “A maximum of three runs permitted in National Hunt Flat races. Yes, journeyman jock, always will be. Media goes totally overboard about those all action rides coming from behind. Perhaps a good few might have won easier had they been ridden closer to the pace? Both Bowen and Murphy don't win enough of the better races. Strong Leader a disaster last time, and it looks to me as if they are looking for any excuse not to run him in a very weak Stayers Hurdle. Ground will be too soft for him at the weekend. Much better off just going straight to the Festival. Bowen very similar to Hughes in that he is pretty much a bystander at the Festivals.
