I find with holiday decor it's best to remove a lot of my regular decor for the holiday season. It gives me more space to work with and also makes sure things don't look too cluttered!

I felt the same way when I read The Night Tiger!
In the UK you can get real trees delivered with roots and all in a tub After Christmas you take it back and they replant it. You can get the same tree year after year! I hope you find a similar service rather than using a tree once and then taking it to the tip.

What I loved about the romance in night tiger is that she doesn’t make any commitments. She fights her intense desires to agree to marry him right away in favor of saying that she wants to take it slow and see how it goes, that she isn’t sure that it’s what she’s going to want in the long run. That saved it for me.

Yes! Avasarala is in my top 2 characters of The Expanse (the other is Amos). Idk if anyone will get this but she reminds me of pojangmacha ahjumma who swears all the time, only with such a fabulous wardrobe

Yes, I felt the same about the romance! I truly enjoyed The Night Tiger, a really interesting take on a familiar Malaysian folklore. Unfortunately the romance totally derailed me.

I stopped after reading Leviathan Wakes because while the plot was interesting, I was NOT able to connect with any of the characters really. I wanted to like Holden but he's... annoying lol.
Your reviews are almost making me want to give it another go, though. I do find the plot and mystery super intriguing, so maybe the new added characters could pull it off for me.
