So glad i found your channel. I did the rgbds tutorial, which was amazing, but incomplete. Also felt a little tedious using gbasm. Your walkthrough on gbdk is very helpful and concise, and the vscode task stuff is also very appreciated :)
Straight forward approach, hands-on and focus on the things that matter, cross-platform devenv without arcane makefiles, explain as you go, great crisp audio, font is readable, video pacing is great. Hats off sir, thank you for your time :) I am wondering, what's your opinion about Zal0/ZGB ?
Thanks. Definitely excited to start teaching software again. Game will be an easy one as it's part of my current business, then will find time do some other videos too perhaps revive the master class course or pick some short topics people want explaining
I think I have you to thank for the fact that I still have a job! A lot of the programs I've written based on your lessons has really helped me out. Glad to see you back!
Not sure why your channel doesn't have more popularity... I've watched many C# tutorial-type videos on youtube and yours are probably the best. And this may say a "bit" about me... but I love bit-masking.
Luke, can't believe you are back. Missed you so much in last 2 years. This time yoi won't disappoint lot of your die hard fans😁 Please do continue videos on C#,.net and master series🙏
Hello Luke, glad to see you back doing video's and congratulations on the success of your business! Really looking forward to more C# stuff. Mastercourse would be great. Coming from WPF I'm currently looking into Uno Platform myself.
I got wisped away by crazy growth of what was a casual retro business but it's finally stabilized and enough people helping to run it now I should get time to do these videos again
Needed to make an iPhone all lol. Had to purchase 3 Mac to find one fast enough to even do basic work. Newest apple silicon is slower than a £500 PC. Top end Intel with £2k eGPU is just about good enough do what my mid range PC did
So glad your back. Looking forward to the C# mastery course here as well. Especially regarding events and multi threading. Are you still doing work with the SolidWorks API? I'm driving head first into it. Seems to really be taking off.
I learned so much from your videos, especially your front-end development courses (admittedly a bit outdated these days without flexbox...). I found them incredibly helpful. I also really engaged with how you communicate technical concepts - there was never a video where I didn't think about things differently even unrelated to code sometimes. I've never had a mentor (I am a one man band basically), but you are the closest to that man. 2-3 years ago I was still learning to code C# grinding through a monotonous Civil Engineering job in a shirt and trousers, commuting an hour a day to work. Fast forward to today I'm a SharePoint developer (don't ask, funny how things work out!) mainly ReactJS + C# Azure Functions., working remotely abroad on a balcony in my shorts overlooking a mountain in 30 degrees weather....thank you for all your help:)
Second to comment, i missed you sooooo much Sir, very glad that you are all ok. What about our series??? I jumped when i see a pop up notification of yours!!!
I'm sure I'll start up C# stuff again. Maybe even continue to master course. Will be slightly different format as some of my equipment and setup has changed now but can continue that if people want it
You get a writable game cartridge (I'll design and open source one on RetroSix TH-cam soon) or buy one just search writable game boy cartridge. Then use a writer device like GB Operator (I'll also make the programmer device and open source that too) to write the ROM to it. Or just dump this .GB ROM file on an SD card and connect it to an EverDrive or EasyFlash Jr
Hi, nice tutorial! Can I ask you if there is a way to setup the path of Emulicious-debugger (in the extension settings) in a generic way (for windows)? I tried to insert the path: "${workspaceFolder}/../../Emulator/Emulicious" but it doesn't like it :/

Thanks. I'll get back to these videos soon. Not looked at the ZGB stuff yet
I've never clicked this fast. Feel so happy seeing my mentor back

What a fantastic channel, great content and the way you explain things is just great. Keep it up!
Really cool video! Can't wait for the next in the series. Welcome back!
Thanks
Welcome back. So good to see you again and excited about the upcoming series 🤩
YES! Love this topic! Never seen it done in C before instead of z80 assembly. Awesome!
We may drop into assembly for some optimization, tricks or just fun at some point but going be fun making games again for sure
Why is everyone called Luke around here? 🤔
We gotta stick together 😂
@@AngelSix 😂 true true

I hope to find and keep the time to do videos again
@@AngelSix personally, I learned a lot from your videos, especially the wpf series. Thank you
Damn, looking forward to your new videos!
Thanks. Looking forward to making them
your logo is chinese six, i love it !!!
That looks awesome! Will you 3d print the shell and get the pcb from jlcpcb?
my vscode doesnt highlight a dropdown menu for J_A buttons and such, they are not highlighted blue when i type them in either.
Very excited to see you back, Luke! Looking forward to more cool content from you. Wondering what got you using a mac lol.

Are you still doing work with the SolidWorks API? I'm driving head first into it. Seems to really be taking off.
I do it a little but the job rarely needs it these days. May get back into SolidWorks given the time
Hey, welcome back, whatever happened with the blood glucose bluetooth series, it just kinda stopped?
It all stopped. My retro company grew so much I had to dedicate all my time there
Well this day just got a whole lot better.
Glad to be back
Luke, will you get into Blazor? awesome hoodie btw😂

I have missed you! Hope all is well
Certainly is. Glad to be back
So early! We missed you, man. Question - how do you install a game on a cartage?
You get a writable game cartridge (I'll design and open source one on RetroSix TH-cam soon) or buy one just search writable game boy cartridge. Then use a writer device like GB Operator (I'll also make the programmer device and open source that too) to write the ROM to it. Or just dump this .GB ROM file on an SD card and connect it to an EverDrive or EasyFlash Jr
Also not familiar with c++ since I've done most of the work in c# but would be interested learning it from you!!
Good to know. Once C# master class is done I may do a C++ one
Can you do some QT C++ or Avalonia running on raspberrypi projects? Tnks man I really love your videos.
If I could think of a market product in retro using that I could make the time yes
the config file looks similar to premake?
Will we see another Wpf series?
Depends if I need to do any WPF work
Hi, nice tutorial!
Can I ask you if there is a way to setup the path of Emulicious-debugger (in the extension settings) in a generic way (for windows)? I tried to insert the path: "${workspaceFolder}/../../Emulator/Emulicious" but it doesn't like it :/
It works for me in Windows. I'll do the next video using windows setup so you can see it
Why are you using Intel's instead of Apple silicon's Mac?
I have both. Mac's silicon is too slow to do anything lol
i think this is C not C++??
Plz man i love you :)
I hope will not stay half progress this time :) (I mean about the diabetic project)
I will let my Cousins master this Game Tutorials
