Yes to an extent. I play them both. Mx bikes is a great sim. The best in my opinion. But, mx vs atv is a better polished game, we all know piboso doesn’t care about the game really and the community is what drives it. The graphics are neither better nor worse on one from the other. All the bikes look like the bikes they were supposed to be in their respective years. And honestly for your average gamer who just wants to hop onto a moto game and not spend hours learning and perfecting it, mx vs atv is the better game for them. You get a nice mix of sim with the dual stick function but the arcade feel of mx vs is more user friendly to beginners. Neither game is “better” imo really. They both itch very specific scratches tho if you know what I mean.
My thoughts exactly. If you’re looking for an arcade style moto game with good physics, go with reflex. Bikes is by far the best sim especially after some things I’ve learned about mx sim lately. Like the body in sims doesn’t move left and right. Only forward and back, and it seems like the bikes are slow but jump super far in sim so it doesn’t exactly look like a game I’d enjoy.
What didn’t you like about the physics? I have a few friends who always liked the physics of supercross and Alive better but I was always the opposite. So I’m genuinely curious as to what you didn’t like about them? I’m not just asking as in “I know better than you” I’m genuinely curious.
@@TracyMorgan248 I did enjoy Alive physics too. Kinda hard to explain but the bike and rider felt too much like one whole. Rather than feeling like two separate objects. The upper half of the bike would only lean so much in the corner. Where as something like Mx bikes where both rider and bike felt different and the bike could actually drag bar in the berm. Obviously it’s an older game but clearly they still struggle because legends is horrible
@@Bordz_92 completely understandable. I will 100% agree legends is absolutely trash. They basically flat track thru corners and I can definitely see what your saying and where you’re coming from on that. I do admit some of the cornering and on ground physics in reflex left some to be desired but the whip and in air physics I always loved. I have been playing mx bikes a ton and understand what you’re saying completely tho. You can actually set into a rut on mx bikes and drag bars. I just always preferred the reflex physics over all the ones that came after it. At this point tho I wish they would just go back to the mx vs atv unleashed days. Full arcade I know but still a TON of fun.

I got back into it last week, yes, Still the most fun IMO
reflex is the best arcade mx game, never tried sim but it doesnt look like i'd like how it plays, bikes takes time but its the best sim imo.

mxgp i think is honestly a better sim than mx bikes the whips are just tough to figure out
