Totally agree!! I really love the official videos of Drake's songs, but they don't really feature his band as well. I much prefer the vibe when the whole band is shown. They really look like they're having fun with each other and the happiness is contagious.
Perhaps it’s because Drake Miller has complete creative control over the rights to the songs, etc. I’m sure he has contracted in the guys who are performing with him for quality control, etc., however he is not taking input from those members. If he’s a singer/ songwriter, he’s probably written tons of songs for other artists to perform so he can eat while he’s working on his own materials. There’s a reason his songs sound “radio ready”, he’s most likely already created a hit or 2 that another artist is singing.

He wasn’t well known before AGT. After his audition and last night everyone knows his name. His album is #3 on iTunes and has the #2 country song on iTunes (#1 is Olivia Newton-John). AGT helped launched his career. If Drake doesn’t win he’s gonna be performing at the Grand Ole Opry.

AGT was the right move. Drake needed something to promote him unlike his record company that has him proudly posted with about 2 dozen other artists in which most are no big names.

At first around the end of 2020 beginning of 2021 he failed to get signed to BMM it wasn't till 6 months later that he got signed. He was quite known by many, but AGT really promoted him to the whole world instead of just a country.
