- Why is NDPP blaming BJP for its Lok Sabha debacle, asks Imkong L Imchen
The result of the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections came as a blow to the People's Democratic Alliance government, particularly to Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party as it lost the lone Lok Sabha seat in Nagaland to the opposition.
The campaign speeches of some of the leaders have not gone down too well for its alliance partner, the Bharatiya Janata Party, where they are indirectly being blamed for losing the Lok Sabha.
Speaking to Northeast Live on this matter, senior politician and Advisor Imkong L Imchen, mincing no words, said the speeches made by NDPP MLAs during the ULB poll campaigns was a direct accusation on BJP, to which he said was "misleading" the people.

NDPP lost Lok Sabha by over 50 thousand votes. Dimapur-1 and Ghaspani-1 constituencies held by BJP MLAs has over 1 Lakh voters. If BJP helped NDPP in just this two constituencies than NDPP would have comfortably won the Lok Sabha election.
If Reo decides to join Congress, it seems like Nagaland might face a few more tough years, as the people really aren't fans of the NDPP and BJP, both of which he's connected to.
