I'll tell you what, I understand his frustration though, the part where he makes all the money and spends it I can't relate to, but I know what it's like to have a pain in the ass ex who's money hungry. So my ex has 3 other kids with 2 other guys and for our one child I pay 300 a month. But in addition to that I see my daughter, spend money on her, my parents spoil her rotten, and everything. And yet she's ALWAYS trying to drag me back into court to get more money from me. She doesn't want it for my daughter. she wants it for her other kids and herself

Considering court is a place of facts and evidence, the prosecutor making accusations like that would probably warrant a response like his and would be the absolute most likely and appropriate rebuttle... Ok if hes working under the table prove it... Lol to say "hyuck that meens they definitlee diyd it" is as elementary school as it gets. My Ex wife did something close to this to me. I had NEVER even raised my voice at this woman but she filed a PFA (Protection From Abuse) order here in Kansas. She showed texts that did NOT come from me and said she was fearful for her life and that of the children. They put me in jail for 8 days waiting for a hearing. When the hearing came the texts she said were from me all said unknown number on the listing. The judge ordered the investigation into it and found out that it was her boyfriend who sent them. They were trying to use them to set me up. All said and done the judge ordered HER to serve 8 days in jail and then charged her with falsifying official documents and falsifying evidence. She caught 2 cases just to be vindictive to me.

A less crazy version of this happened to me. My son's mom ( I am the step mom) tried to get him from school. The school has NEVER met her before so they were totally confused. They asked her for his safety word and she didn't know it. They called me first and I said my son can't go. They legally had to call my husband because he is the legal guardian. My husband was super upset because we didn't even know she was in the state. She ended up quietly leaving and she got into a fight with my husband later about it. I just appreciated the school following protocol.

He's talking about spoofing text messages. Anybody can do it; you can literally get a free app. I could download the app and pull up my own mother's phone number and make it look like she's threatening me, and my phone would receive the texts from "her" number.
That's why texts should mean nothing without phone records to back them up.

My brother is one of the easiest going people in the world... but when it comes to his ex-wife... there is a side of him never seen.
She's a real winner too... after their divorce she got caught and charged for stealing pain pills from patients at the pharmacy she worked at.
She threatened to quit her job and force him to pay more child support and a host of other BS things.
Just saying ... when you deal with people like my ex sister-in-law, it'll tax even the most genial person who get screwed over by takers.
Oh yeah...She also married her cousin who she was sleeping with while married to my brother. She's now on her 3rd marriage and thankfully my niece is a grown woman who's moving hundreds of miles away to get away from her mom.

Mike, it would be great to interview Judge Marilyn Milian on the differences and similarities between televised mediation in a TV court set, and actual court. As she was many years in criminal justice before her television career she would have a fascinating perspective. Many people probably either think court is really like the edited Peoples Court with a judge playing for the camera, or mistakingly dismiss it entirely despite it being real mediation of real cases that were filed in a real court.
Another one that would be worth talking to is the judge from Caught In Providence.

If only George Carlin was here right now, he would be laughing. Those words are typically spoken by the truly guilty, usually after doing unspeakable things. To paraphrase George Carlin "I know that I murdered the triplets, set the house on fire and sold my young son to an old man on the train. But now, I just want to get on with my life". 🤯🤣 Somehow, I just know that George is smiling down on this hearing.

Remember when I said my ex owed me money and I collected it through probate court? Exactly what he owed me for, child support. The lazy judge in AG court wouldn't do a damn thing to him even after he didn't show up for court about a dozen times. . no warrant, nothing. But I had to fly to Houston from NY and I did every time but the last 2 hearings when the judge tried to put a warrant on ME for not showing up when my ex didn't show up. The Attorney General office refused to help the judge for the bullshit he was doing to me. Last time I went and the ex didn't show and of course, nothing done about him not showing up. I was waking away with my sister and John, the lawyer from the AG office, I stopped and turned around and told the judge he was nothing but a waste of money to the taxpayers and he was simply a welfare check walking around in a bathrobe with a wasted law degree. He asked me to repeat what I said thinking I wouldn't. I did and turned around and walked out. My sister wasn't doing so well but she laughed as did the attorney from the AG office and the deputy who I had actually gotten to know just from being in the court so much. He had to hide his laugh though but in the hallway he was laughing. Sister "scolded me" in the hall though lol. She knew I wouldn't have done that to any judge but that dirtbag.
Nobody liked that joke of a judge but deadbeat parents. The state AG back then was supposed to be big on child support and arresting deadbeat parents so I wrote him a letter telling him about the bullshit that judge was doing and that I was flying to Texas from NY all the time and I was only wasting money for the bullshit. I wrote some judicial committee about the judge and within a year of my letters he was gone. The next judge told my sister and the AG lawyer that he didn't expect me to go to court but he put a warrant out for the ex and the cops called me in NY and asked how to find him. I said go to his gf's house and he will be there. Two hours later they called me and said they arrested him. Yeah me!!!. He paid 2 grand to not even put a dent in the 50 k he owed. I myself collected the rest. I'm just glad my sister let me tag around and learn the things I learned. Lol. I never found out what happened to the state welfare check. Didn't care as long as I didn't have to look at the dirtbag again or any other parents trying to get child support.

I’m still binging these Mike! It’s gotta to be judicial hell to go to Court in this pandemic. How stupid does a person need to be to 1) not pay child support then get put in jail, 2) argue with a Judge lying about texts that can be PROVABLE 3) texting your ex ANY threats to leave the State
    4) get an Attorney who’s your worst enemy facing a savvy Prosecutor 5) Interrupting a Judge…I could go on. My point being WHO in their right mind, civil or criminal, in a pandemic, would commit a crime much less a civil preventable crime knowing your defense is done over Zoom where it’s hard to hear, and not interrupt due to technology.
The first Zoom call made it APPEAR that the Deputy was not even in the room with the Defendant when he appeared to “book it” out of the call (no pun intended) 😂😂
I NEED more of these bungled court cases whether Zoom or not. The humor in these cases you can’t make up. I still am pondering why you don’t have 100,000 subs with your humor and “don’t take yourself too seriously” attitude, makes me appreciate Attorneys that otherwise were my “adversaries” when I was an expert witness and testified in medical malpractice litigation as an RN. OMG, brings back, in hindsight, some hilarious moments! I can sure appreciate the point of view now, that’s it’s all about finding the TRUTH not about them or me trying to rip the other side “a new one” or having to be the one “that’s always right”! 🤦🏼‍♀️
Sometimes either side has to take the “L” and be just fine with it. After all, we both just wanted Justice to prevail either way. Thanks, Mike!
