- Battlefield 2042 should be given a second chance. For those who feel bf2042 was such a let down at launch, I'd agree. Though i disagree with not playing it after you've paid good money now the game is so much fun. The only in Battlefield action is of the charts in this one. So right now is the time to jump back and play, Before its to late.

@@idontwannatypeaname if only... the damage was done. It doesn't matter how good a game becomes after a bad launch... it will never be what it could have been. First impressions... it's an axiom for a reason.
2042 didn’t have a single chance to become a great Battlefield game. It was just built as battle royale game from the core… nowhere near to a great game.
@@1htalp9 I somewhat agree but it's not necessarily true all the time, but it takes a hell of a lot of marketing to get people interested again. FFXIV launched in a terrible state and it tightened up instantly and was able to not only retain players but bring in droves more over the years and it's still pulling in new people. No Man's Sky, same thing. ESO, same thing. I feel like the potential is there but where a lot of companies miss out on is good marketing. SO many GOOD indie games launch and end up dying instantly because they can't afford marketing in their budget. Dice can afford it, not sure why they didn't do more of it.

Lol. I saw the title and thought you made a video because of my comment. And here we are :)
Here is some context. I started bf5 two years after launch. Most bugs fixed and there were no new releases. I played it good 2 years and had so much fun before 2042 release. There were plenty servers and player base when I jumped on it on game pass. I believe I'd have had the same great experience with Bf2042 if I had done the same.
BTW, even though I stopped playing, I watch your videos daily and get entertained. When I do get back in the game, I'd love to have a session with you :)

Ive always played battlefield, its not about who developed it, what slight differences there are between games, the side politics. Its always been about the people who play, on the battlefield, with vehicles and the freedom of an open map. Its the fun ideas I come up with that make me want to play, and laugh. I have this rule for games, if it cant make me laugh frequently, its not worth my time
The thing that makes me sad is that so many people are suggesting Battlebit over BF2042. Nothing against Battlebit, but *for me* it's just not as good as BF2042 (although I'm quite happy for anyone to disagree with me). It just seems to be something that's used by people upset at the BF2042 launch, to push more players away. Personally I'd say play and enjoy both, just don't dismiss how decent BF2042 is now!
I agree so much! Just because the game had a terrible launch doesn’t mean that it should have a terrible reputation forever, especially when the game is so good now!

100 % agree. ratings are going up... the problems is that 75 % of players who gave 2042 a 1/10 Just refuse to try it again. But they keep on dissing it online. So many players were butthurt and are still crying. Too proud to admit that 2042 could be good. I also Think EA/Dice needs to promote it one last time. A final push. So many players dont even remember this game still exists. They remade the maps... now its time to remake the launch trailer and relaunch the game for the second year of content. On TV, on internet, rebrand the cover of the physical game.
a lot of people just have a bias towards battlebit because of all the positive feedback and a negative bias of 2042 for all the bad reasons
Battlebit just had better performance and features battlefield should have, that’s the only reason, and because it has features of games like bad company 2 and it gives you nostalgia

I have never given up on 2042 even from the start. It is still battlefield and squid has proved it to everyday that the fun is there. You just have to use your imagination witch makes battlefield so great. Everyone keeps talking about bf4 that it is a great game. Remember that game was screwed up at the beginning also.

As someone who has played Battlefield 4, Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 5.... I can say battlefield 2042 is the best battlefield experience I ever had solely because portal exists and casual gamers like me can enjoy the game fighting with Bots and leveling up rather than spawning in and getting killed by sweaty players in every match... Also unlike other battlefield games u don't have to worry about it being dead when players leave
The early bf1942 from pc was the champion along with bf Vietnam and secret weapons of ww2. The mechanics totally worked. Down hill after bf4.

2042 is super fun, im having more fun in it than in BF5 and BF1 , i know that will piss off some, i couldnt care less 🤷💩 The game was horrible when released but since then, its now super fun ever since season 1. Funny vid as usual 👊

Its taken Dice almost 2 years from release to finally get it to run ok and look good, that’s shocking. Basically the game was released 2 years to early.
Dice have severely damaged there own reputation with this game and I would be surprised if people will buy dice games in the future.

I'm still missing 600 coins from this season. Contacted EA Help and they were no help. They said there was nothing they could do. I get all the other rewards, but the coins stopped when I reached 5100. So happy I didn't buy them.
2042 is gonna play out exactly like bf5 did. Everything finally gets fixed and plays great, to only get dropped so dice can focus on the next game.

I pre-ordered it, played a glitchy buggy mess, uninstalled, waited and waited and waited, I installed it again in season 3, installed it, played, couldn’t see my gun 🤦🏼♂️, uninstalled 😂 waited, waited, season 4, install, played, game was ok but not quite there yet… season 5 turned everything around and now the game is actually enjoyable 😮

Not hating , but please tell DICE to make more maps, I love the game but feel the content is really really lacking and concerned if they cut content after s6 - not sure why they can't add more maps to portal there so many BF3 maps that would be great to add to portal, Isn't it possible to get a couple level designers to update some of the old maps and get a group of interns to do the donkey work (adding updated textures etc) ???

Me and my buddies all bought the deluxe bundle and were quite disappointed, butt we kept checking back in and have been happy with the improvements. We are also looking forward to the next iteration. I'm hoping they figure out how to deal with all the PCers' running background apps to give themselves an advantage. Cross platform is wonderful when everyone is playing on a level playing field. My Aim-Assist is turned off. I find it makes the game worse. So the PC gamers can quit whining about it.
If PlayStation didnt make the game free I probably wouldnt have ever tried the game. Would have been a big regret game is great

Bring back DLCs that you had with BF1 and BF4.I rather buy a DLC with 4 maps and other new content than be disappointed with lack of content when a new season comes out.BF4 had 5 DLCs that totalled 20 maps.yes you prob paid £50 but it was double the maps of base game

For me the recent months have been great and I am enjoying it. I am playing with the vehicles more and it's really chill to have so much diversity in a game. You can almost do whatever you want. My main complain is not enough boom moments. Playing as an engineer and only have 2 rockets to fight a tank is a let down. I use to love bf3-4 because you could blow up many vehicles just alone. With the perks unlock in Bf4, you could get up to 6 or 7 rockets. In 2042 you shoot your 2 and you have to look around for a support guy to finish it, and it's gone by the time you resupply.
Only game I play at the moment…not having the same amount of fun playing anything else!
Honestly, some people need to pull their heads out of their skidmark undies and understand the mechanics and process of games being developed, the same games they like to insist they know so much about. Most games have crappy releases, some more than others.
It's safe to say a consensus of players worldwide would hail BF4 as the greatest of all (at least for its time) and the launch of BF4 was a freakin' ugly, prolonged nightmare in the beginning. Maybe those people were not around then, or they have just forgotten, but it was not a good initial impression. Eventually BF4 became the gold standard of FPS and is loved to this day. Same for 2042, it staggered along at the start and then they got around to fixing it. Who knows why it's like this (beyond quick profit margins) but it should be of little surprise nowadays.
I say all that to say this: at this stage of 2042 if you are not playing and enjoying the game...then it is on your end, not the game; if you can find no real joy in this game right now you need to do some self-evaluation and rethink your toxic-by-default mindset.
I downloaded the game squid.. but every time I play it crashes on my second game😢
