YOU ARE SUCH A GOOD TEACHER! You helped me understand the radius when no one else could and you did it in like 2 minutes. Thank you so much. Sending love 4 years later.
I'm a math tutor and needed to review this material. From one math teacher to another, you have a gift!! Thank you for making this so simple to understand.
This was so helpful, your explanations even helped me figure out how to find the volume of areas between two curves revolved around given lines. You’re a rockstar.
4:05 for which method we use+ 4:11+4:35+5:16 +5:23 measure original region +5:35 +5:46 measure in correct way+ 8:00 small radius=dist from axis of rotation to the near/ closure function
Your explanation of how to find the function that describes the radius when rotated around a non 0 axis was so simple and intuitive that now I'm embarrassed I had to ask. Unfortunately, I can't find the function that describes the volume of my gratitude so I'll go with one of the basic functions......Thank you.
I used shell method with these three problems and got the same answers! Sometimes shell makes these easier and sometimes it makes them harder, but I like to understand the concepts.
Thank you so much. Very excellent explanation, after watching the video, the solution seemed much easier for me. I thought that drawing was very difficult, and now I have become very skilled.
very helpful i was pushing on a pull door but it was locked you allowed me to find the volume of the solid revolving around that door أنا أحب الأعضاء التناسلية الذكرية
You seem very pleasant and easy to learn from all of my math professors not counting physics have been very callous and rude regardless of the student was doin well or not.
Looked at your list of videos starting from the oldest trying to decipher my order on which to study first and felt confused I’ve started a bit of calculus but need to go further back to pre cal and possibly algebra .was looking at chronological order ……as a point to study your own lessons I hope I’m being clear

Hi Ms.Callahan, thank you for the great video you made. But how do you determine the x or y variable distance is outside the shaded region or inside? Like example 1 your x variable distance is outside of shaded region and example 2 your y variable is inside the shaded region. I appreciate anyone's help!!
It depends on the plot but on both these cases (ex 1 and 2) there was a gap and thus Washer Method was used. It goes back to the definition of outer radius (furthest away from axis of revolution) and inner radius (closest to the axis of revolution). And we had to do a difference to be able to count units on a consistent manner, on the right direction. The shaded region is the region that is bounded by the parameters given on each question and it's the region of interest.
what if its The region in the first quadrant bounded above by the curve y = x^2, below by the x-axis, and on the right by the line x = 1, about the line x = -1
Literally the only video I could find that doesn’t just ramble on about the concept of 3D objects thank you, your a life saver
Amen.
She’s a really good teacher. I had her she was amazing.

Visualizing how to find the big R and little r was SO USEFUL!! THANKS!!
I really struggle with revolution, but I have never seen such an amazing explanation on TH-cam. Thank you so much :D
Explaining in a way humans can understand. Not a rambling psychopath. Thank you

Thank you for making this video! Ive never been someone who math just clicks for so the thoroughness of your lesson is a godsend. Thank you!

I love that you explain every single step clearly, and never take anything for granted. You have an art for teaching.
I usually don't leave reviews but man, this answered all the questions I had about when adding the line of revolution or when subtracting! thank you.

This is the best explanation of this topic I've seen. Thanks a lot
Ms. Callahan, thank you very much for the help and explanation. I was able to get ahead of my class using your video!
Great video and straight to the point, this was immensely helpful. Thank you!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I have been struggling to understand how to set up the integral but this video explains it so well!!!!
At 1st I have huge doubt about this but now its crystal clear 😍thank u so much
Lady you are a legend this was about as easy to understand as this topic could possibly be explained.
I am learning this in class and no matter how many examples, I just could not figure it out 😭but with this one video, I finally get it. Thank you!!
thanks so much...i finally grasped the concept of volume of solid revolting on axes different from x or y
Super neat handwriting & great diagrams! Good stuff, using this to brush up 40 minutes before my calc 2 final :)
Thank you so much. Very excellent explanation, after watching the video, the solution seemed much easier for me. I thought that drawing was very difficult, and now I have become very skilled.
most understandable teacher ı have ever seen thanks sir
Best lecture, thank you for clearing all my doubts.

OH MY GOD THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU JUST SAVED MY CALC2 LIFE GOD BLESS🥰😘🥳🤩
just wonderful explanation👍
Thank you so much..i have really understood this concept after watching this video
Thank you so much for explaining so clear for us and i finally understand after doing same questioms for 3 hours🥳
Thank you so much for this video ! I have my Calc exam tomorrow and this literally saved my life
That was highly helpful thank you so much

Unique video thank you ma'am ❤
This was the thing I needed. Thanks a lot.
you are such a life saver
Thank you so much ma'am!
Hey thankyou so much i was unable to find any material on this topic particularly when rotating about lines other then the Axises
Great Video!!! Concepts totally cleared, Thanks!!
i got it now ,thanks for explaining it with very easy language
you explained it beautyfully.
Thanks you are a wonderful teacher. I need a video about cylindrical shell. I can’t fond it in your’s videos
Perfectly explained, thank you!
Much thanks....... ❤️Video is too helping... Make more videos for better understanding on other topics related to calculus as well
.. Thanks
Wonderful explanation! Thank you!
Thank you, I was so frustrated in class and even embarrassed myself in front of my teacher because I was so confused about this.
a Life Saver, thanks for this
Good stuff. Very helpful
you might be the GOAT

Thank you maam 😊
Can be solved it by the theorem of Pappus and Golden?
Thank you

Very useful ❤️❤️thank u🥺
What if you were to revolve around the line y=x? I feel like that just makes it 10x harder
This made so much sense, it clicked instantly when you explained it, the visuals were so helpful too- (*ˊᗜˋ*)ᵗᑋᵃᐢᵏ ᵞᵒᵘ
