Your Dad seems like such a great guy. I lost my Dad when I was 27. He was 66 and got cancer. You never know when it's going to happen so make sure you spend lots of quality time with him and always tell him how much he is appreciated.
Sorry for lecturing, I just know a good Dad when I see one and I miss mine very much.
