    A NEW approach at how we did this video. Tried to go in to a little more detail and then explain the actual combo routes. If you have been following this deck. I hope this helps! This deck consistently makes it to Diamond one. Check out the rest of the channel for more content. Down below is the past Endymion videos and a link to my ABC Therion video as well. 1: {Reasoning} is a card that is used to either get a feee special summon, or used to set your graveyard.
      2: {One Day of Peace} can be replaced with anything (I would say “Swords of Revealing Light”).
      3: {Pot of Prosperity} is here to either search a card, or trigger the effect of “The Golden Swordsoul”.
      4: {Underclock Taker} is here to help you to attack over powerful monsters (which is good for going 2nd).
      5: {Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess} is more like a “Last Resort” type card, but it CAN be replaced with something else.

    Since you are running Spellbook it might be a good idea to run astrograph sorcerer, odd-eyes absolute dragon, odd-eyes Vortex dragon, and cross-sheep. You would elctrumite, put astrograph in the extra deck then add him to hand he summons himself and adds the card you popped then you could selene and pend summon out astrograph and Endymion and any other cards in hand or extra but then you use Endymion and astrograph to go into absolute use it and selene to go into cross-sheep summon it to an arrow it points to it will summon back your Spellbook magician use it and cross sheep to go back into Selene bring Endymion back out and now you have an extra omni-Negate that can put cards from the extra deck back into the main deck.

      I’ve seen a lot of people using the Astrograph combo but I really do prefer keeping it pure. I get just as many negates using only spell counter related cards than if I were to use the Astrograph combo.
      Another reason I won’t use Astrograph is because just like you implied, it’s an exact combo every time. I have a Dinosaur deck that I rarely touch because it’s the same thing every single game and it really comes off as boring to me. With Endymions and my hero deck though, there are different options to go for depending on the situation you’re facing. It’s way more fun for me to actually decide on what’s the best play rather than just regurgitating the same combo every single game.

    • @tommycruz7544
      @tommycruz7544 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I too also use absolute so I think it’s a solid option. Can I ask in a situation where you draw into either all monsters or all spells is there to get a full combo from either or? Love the videos keep up the work TFA.

    • @shadowspector3611
      @shadowspector3611 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@tommycruz7544: usually with all spells, it’s annoying but still fine because you either have your searcher spells (either Mastery or you have Citadel and Institution) or you have your draw spells that continue to draw you cards until you have a holder in your hand. With all pendulums in the opening hand, there actually is a thing you can do, which is to try and pendulum summon at least one monster and then normal summon the other. If you’re using the Astrograph combo, you can just go into Electrumite then and go Astrograph to pop and search, but if you’re using my build, you can go into Crowley instead. If you were able to pendulum summon 2 monsters and save your normal summon, you can reveal the three Spellbooks and if you get Blue Boy, normal summon him for two additional spell counters as well as two draws (and depending on what scale you activated first, you’ll already be at 3 spell counters regardless of what you draw with Blue Boy). From then on, you can resolve your scale and summon two pendulums to go into Electrumite and even if you still drew only monsters and no spells you can use for spell counters, Electrumite can pop one of your scales so you can activate another one for more spell counters on your board. Don’t forget about Selene who will not only fill your field with spellcounters but also special summon a negate from your hand since you already pendulum summoned. So with this, even though you can’t pendulum summon all the negates you’ve collected, you can still end on 3-4 negates.

      Absolutely hate Maxx C but Endymions is one of those few decks that relies on special summons but can still make more negates than the amount of cards given to your opponent. I had a duel live on Twitch where my opponent was using Tear and discarded Maxx C. I built 5 negates (and I could’ve made it six so easily with no additional summons for Maxx C). My opponent discarded Droplets with 10 cards in his hand. He didn’t win that turn and decked himself out and I thought if I made Apollo, I could negate both of his shufflers but I forgot she was once per chain. Not one of my finer moments lol.

      That would be useful if I was very low on spell counters, but using IP to go into another Selene so she could reuse one of my negates would just turn IP into another negate too. Normally, my board is already full of Jackal Kings and Endymions so it wouldn’t be too helpful to just use IP as if she were one of them. IP actually helps to give me a lot more plays to make since I can go into a spin with Unicorn, a tribute with Goddess, or full attack protection with Avramax. But if I were to run 2 Selene, then I’d keep that in mind in case I absolutely need another negate.

Then I realize I’m up against Runic or skystrikers and I prioritize the way I can maneuver my Endymions across the field (I.e., first using an Endymion that Selene points to negate by returning himself to the hand so there’s room for Selene to summon back the Endymion I already negated with).

    • @shadowspector3611
      @shadowspector3611 ปีที่แล้ว

      So Endymions do not need their extra deck almost at all in their normal plays. The only cards regularly gone into are Electrumite and Selene. Because of this, I put in extra deck cards that have the chance to be useful. With the Endymion decklist requiring every card in the opening hand to combo with each other, there is no room for situational cards like Harpie’s Feather Duster, Dark Ruler No More, and even Triple Tactics Talents. Because of this, the extra deck is reserved for all the potentially situational stuff I’ll need.
      Having said that, the Charmer links are excellent for going into Selene. Usually I am able to go into Electrumite and then link climb into Selene, but in scenarios where I don’t have as good of a hand to get three monsters on the field, or in long games where Electrumite is in the graveyard, Dharc and Lyna work out. I am able to use Garuda or Cerberus and another monster to go into Lyna and steal a light monster back from my opponent’s graveyard (sometimes Veiler or sometimes another light) and I can link climb into Selene to fill my board with counters, usually to use Endymion to summon and pop.
      Sometimes my opponent only has light monsters and I have access to no lights. Like if I can trigger magister to summon jackal back out but I can’t tribute jackal to get out Cerberus (or if Cerberus is banished off of desires). Or I don’t have Cerberus in the deck and I use servant to summon Endymion or Jackal King. Artemis allows me to turn one of my monsters (either Magister or Servant) into a light monster so that i can go into Lyna that way. She also allows me to get out Avramax easier if I use Magister’s effect to summon one monster from the extra deck but need one more monster. In fact, in a previous video titled Are Endymion’s Still Relevant, I summoned Lyna to steal an Effect Veiler so I could go into Selene and revive Reflection to out my opponent’s Colossus.
      If you are looking for flexible spots in the extra deck because you have cards you’d rather run, you can remove Artemis and maybe Unicorn, but for now, those cards have been helpful. Hope this helps!

    im getting back into master duel would you say that the extra deck is necessary for endymion

    • @thefinalanomaly
      @thefinalanomaly  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s awesome your coming back to the game. I would say yes. The extra deck would still open so many more positions for you depending on the build

    • @shadowspector3611
      @shadowspector3611 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For an Endymion deck, the extra deck is only vital if you’re using the Astrograph combo which utilizes Cross Sheep, Odd-Eyes package, and a second Selene. The decklist in these replays however only need two cards from the extra deck.
      The first card would be Electrumite since she allows for you to not only get any pendulum you need for the situation, but also allows you to fix your scales, pop any negated scales, and get extra counters (and another draw).
      The other necessary card in the extra deck is Avramax. This is purely from the fact that if Endymions go against a card that can’t be targeted or destroyed by card effects and is over 3000 attack points, it can be very difficult for Endymions to out. The only main deck option for this is to use Cerberus to banish another monster to increase his attack points high enough (or to summon Magical Abductor and put 20 or so counters on her). If you have Avramax however, you can attack over basically anything you need to like Arrival @Ignister (prime example). Underworld Goddess is also good to get rid of it, but she takes too many resources (needs 3-4 of your own monsters while Avramax usually needs only two) and also Avramax has very good board protection as well as an amazing floating effect. If you wanted to run the minimal extra deck, Electrumite and Avramax would be the only two necessary cards.
      Lastly, with Endymions, the deck needs to have every card in their hand work together to build an end board so they can’t fit any situational cards. Every card must be useable so what I do is I actually put the situational cards in the extra deck. I don’t normally go into Unicorn but it can be helpful if the situation arises. Same goes for the Charmers and Apollo in case I banish all my negates with Desires. And also Linkuriboh in case Jackal gets Imperm’ed or Veiler’ed (and I just recently put Linguriboh in). Any card you want in the extra deck can go there.

      The deck is 100% viable even without Electrumite. Back in the tier 0 format in TCG, I had only one Servant as well and I still won a majority of my games against Ishizu Tear. It follows a much different strategy than the Master Duel one since you don’t use your extra deck as much and you need your normal summon, but the deck can still power through almost every deck (except Kashtira R.I.P.).

      Endymion’s effect in the scale is indeed an effect that activates so it can still be negated by Omni negate cards. The trick to getting around this though is by summoning your Jackal King negates first (usually by Jackal or Magister) in order to defend against those types of negates. You usually use Endymion’s pop effect as your last interaction anyway (even after you pendulum summon).
      If your opponent has a lot of backrow that you think may be used to negate Endymion’s effect, then you can also try summoning Endymion with Servant or pendulum summoning him. This also gets around quick effect removal cards such as Cosmic Cyclone or Twin Twisters (or Runick Destruction) since if your opponent chains removal to his scale effect after it’s already activated, it fizzles and you can’t use Endymion’s scale effect again for the rest of the turn.
      If you’re worried about counter traps that you can’t negate, there actually isn’t a counter trap that stop’s Endymion’s scale effect. It can’t be stopped by Solemn Warning or Solemn Judgment because Endymion’s scale effect is a spell effect activation and not a spell card activation. They can use Solemn Judgment when Endymion is activated from the hand in the scale, but if they do, you can just search for another one with Abductor, Mastery, or Servant and still have Endymion’s scale effect be usable.
      I hope this answered everything!

      @@LILTRACUZ514: So sorry for the late reply! I have been really swamped with work and college so much that I when Anom told me about this comment, it completely slipped my mind later, but I’ll answer your questions as deeply as I can.
      Upstart is a really strong card because it’s mainly putting a spellcounter out of nowhere onto your cards while not affecting your current hand at all (also good for more counters on Selene and for potentially baiting a negate). Without Upstart, I would suggest looking through your card lists for any of the following: One Day or Peace, Chicken Game, maybe even Dark World Dealings or Dragged Down to the Grave. Sometimes we pull it in a pack and don’t even notice. The above cards mentioned are all risky though because 3 of them give your opponent a card and the other one (Chicken Game) can’t be used after using Citadel without losing all your counters. If you don’t have any of these or the crafting material for them, you can put back in cards like Spell Power Grasp (only at 2) or cards that I use in real life like Magician’s Right Hand or Secret Sanctuary of the Spellcasters. Both are N rarity so extremely easy to acquire. If you don’t have too many draw cards in the deck then you can even use cards like Igknight Reload. This should be used very sparingly though since it turns off your draws for the rest of the turn after activating, so use it (if you can) after you draw with Electrumite. Another option if you’re trying to fill the deck up to 40 is Extra Pendulum and Pendulum Treasure, generic spells for pendulums that can help you build counters.
      Spellbook of Secrets has unfortunately only one use in the deck which is to search either Blue Boy or Knowledge. It’s the best Spellbook to get because you can choose to get Knowledge if you already normal summoned. (I’m actually considering bumping Secrets up to 2 because if you open double in the opening hand, you can use 1 to search Knowledge and then send the second one to the graveyard to draw 2.) The other uses for Secrets include: Discarding it with Servant, popping it with Endymion, or using it to bait an Ash if you already have Knowlege or Blue Boy in the opening hand.
      Blue Boy is a bit better to get since he’s a body on field. One interaction in the deck that is super cool is when you draw him or Secrets off of Electrumite or if you have him in your opening hand and can resolve Servant or Magister. After you use Electrumite to her fullest potential, normal summon Blue Boy and go through the motions but don’t activate Knowledge to send him away yet. Instead, use Blue Boy and Electrumite to summon Selene. She should gain enough counters for you to remove them from herself to summon back Blue Boy from the grave. (You almost never use Selene’s effect during your own turn so you aren’t missing out on anything if you do this.) Then you can draw 2 with Knowledge and even free up Selene’s arrow so you can pendulum summon 3 (but watch out for Nibiru!).
      So Into The Void is a card i have a love/hate relationship with. There are times when I have one card in hand and Electrumite’s draw is Void and I can’t use it. I’ve top-decked it before and flipped my desk across the room (jk, I play on mobile). And Void has also conflicted with Garuda since he’s the best hand trap in the deck. I usually resolve these issues by activating Void the first chance I get after I put all my holders on the field. If I have servant, upstart, void, institution, and citadel, I’d use servant and citadel and then use void first because I’m not always guaranteed to be able to activate it like I am guaranteed with upstart goblin. And you always need to check your graveyard before you end your turn to make sure if you activated Void or not so you know whether to set your hand or not.
      Pot of Desires is more complicated. He’s at 3 in MD and at 2 in real life, yet I play it at 1. The reason for this is because when you play Desires at 2 or 3 in the deck, MD will make you open doubles of this card, and you never want to activate more than one in a duel (especially against Ishizu-Necroface meta). To keep this from happening, I’ve put Desires to 1 and I still draw it every other game. Konami can’t brick me if I don’t have the cards to be bricked with. 😅

      In TCG, Electrumite is banned. R.I.P. Best Girl. But I still used Endymions all throughout 2020 to the present. Instead of going into Electrumite, I instead made the Jackal-Magister combo my top priority. Essentially I used Jackal to build three counters and summon a negate and then used either Magister or Jackal King to revive Jackal (who’s not once per turn) for a second negate. Then during the opponent’s turn if I have Magister, I can summon a third negate. It’s really good still in tcg and I topped all the time before Kashtira came out.

      Honestly, if I use any other deck and go against Runicks, I am just super frustrated. But when I use Endymions and see them activate the field spell, I’m always like “bring it on.” I normal summon Jackal and they flip TCBOO, so I just link Jackal into Linkuriboh and I’m not locked out of spellcasters anymore. Also Endymion bypasses essentially every single card they have (except Destruction). It’s so satisfying to see Runic players surrender because they only do it after you pop their board. They never see the pop effect coming.

    • @shadowspector3611
      @shadowspector3611 ปีที่แล้ว

      Endymions can play through a lot of handtraps. In one of the earlier videos, the deck went against Savage Dragon, Gryphon Rider, Ash Blossom, Veiler, and Colossus and still outed the entire board and established 3 negates. The only time a hand trap can stop the turn is when Cerberus gets Ash’ed. Every other time, the deck can bait out the hand trap or put a negate on the board before using vulnerable effects like Electrumite.
      Also Maxx C is annoying but Endymions actually don’t care about it as much as other decks. Decks like P.U.N.K. do an obscene about of summoning just for a decent board. Endymions can build 5 negates in only three summons. Also if they have Village in the hand, they can completely play into Maxx C and build their negates to counter Zeus or Evenly. In the very first Endymion replay on the channel, Maxx C was discarded against Endymions and Endymions could still make 6 negates in 5 summons. Sure, one can say that it is only one negate because they have 5 replacement cards, but if you time them correctly against monster effects that are HOPT, they can’t use those effects again (and a majority of modern monsters have that restriction). Overall, Maxx C sucks to go against but it doesn’t end your turn like it does other decks.
      The reason the deck isn’t meta would have to be because it can’t use handtraps. When there are decks that you literally need handtraps against in order to stand a chance (such as ftk decks or decks that lock you out entirely), then the deck can be seen as weak. Another reason is because the deck has to put its entire hand on the field before combining. Normal decks can activate a spell and still have options as their opponent tries to use their disruptions, but Endymions need everything on the field first to start doing things. This also makes it weak to quick effect removal as well. The deck is still strong though but it’s understandable why it’s not at the top.
