This is one of the best tutorial vidoes ive seen online, very clean look, well spoken and used real cards with amazing quality. Just incredible, instant sub.
Thank you for your feedback! We are glad to hear you enjoyed this Combo Showcase and appreciate the attention to detail in its production. Thank you for the subscription as well!
I appreciate that none of these test hand require Magicians Souls to work and that the deck generally has many ways to give itself a way to setup even without it(I don't run Pot to banish either). I was running many test hands today and didn't think about using Institution to get Servant. That opens up so many more reliable plays, it's amazing. Thank you.
I know this is a little late. At 24:45 you mention that Jackal King would need spell counters on itself specifically to use its effect, but it can remove 2 counters from anywhere on your field to use its Quick Effect. This video helped a ton though, really shows how versatile this deck is. Thank you!
This is such a great tutorial. Most tutorials and guides I find, even more recent ones, tend to either use Master Duel, or focus too strongly on the individual cards and not on the plays they can make. I love that even being over a year old, it's still very relevant to the deck today. I've only just started learning the deck, having been out of the Yugioh loop for almost a decade, and it's certainly challenging how non-linear these combos are, but your video's been a massive help.
For the first test hand after activating institution I would've taken a different path. If you scale Cerb, servant goes to 3. Summon servant far right and reflection far left both with 1 counter. Cerb eff search jackal add 2 to institution. institution eff remove 7 counters from field to search 2nd mighty master leaving 1 counter on servant. Overlay into absolute. Link it and breaker into cross-sheep summoning vortex far left, sheep eff summon blue boy below sheep. Scale jackal eff summon Cerb add 2 to institution. Scale mighy master add 2 to Cerb. link sheep and blue boy into Selene with 6 counters. Remove all 6 from Selene to summon mighty master from scale - master eff pop servent - servent effect puts itself in the scale with 1 counter on it and 1 counter goes to mighty master. Link Cerb and Selene into 2nd Selene in right zone for 6. Selene eff summon mighty master from GY. This leaves you with Selene to summon reflection and bounce on opponents turn (for own card bounce either servant or institution as the counters transfer). Mighty master can negate and bounce the reflection. You have a second mighty master and magister can remove 3 counters to summon jackal from deck. Plus vortex Omni negate That's 5 interruptions, mighty master with target protection. If they run it over you get a free search and in hand you have potentially servent, reflection, institution and desires which is more than enough for a follow up turn if you triggered all the effects there. Slightly stronger but main thing is you have a follow up play when they drop DRNM or something along those lines. Test hand 2 I would've also gone a different route putting up 1 less interruption but having a very strong recovery play available. Regardless, I've always felt this is a high skill deck and you've done a good job here for sure, both with the deck and video quality. Keep it up.
Thank you for the excellent feedback! Suffice to say, the deck certainly has a myriad of lines of play and your examples offer great insight into this idea. It is especially important to have a recovery play, due to powerful cards such as Dark Ruler No More and Super Polymerization in the format!
@@TeaCGBreak Agreed. Maybe the thing I love most about pendulums is there isn't a standard combo or line of play. There's so much creativity with the deck you can do a multitude of things
Just recently took an interest in Endymion. Figured I'd buy into it and now seeing a tutorial vid like this makes me all the more excited to test it out. Thank you, great vid!
The main play with Celine is leaving her on board and reviving reflection on your opponents turn to get a free bounce then using the masquerade to go into the apollosa after you have used your boss monster effects
Thank you for your comment! We are glad to hear your enjoy the calming pendulum content. We'll leave the "Pend Best Deck"''s to Trif, though this is a very solid deck regardless!
would you be doing a master duel mythical endymion tutorial in the future? there is a lack of videos with your quality in this season were masyer duel is kind of kicking off
Thank you for your comment! We agree an Endymion combo showcase for the Master Duel format would be beneficial, since cards like Electrumite are legal for play. We can work on creating this new content for new and returning players alike!
With the first test hand wouldn't it have been better to make Apollousa with Cerberus and Selene so you could have Endymion's negate for the turn as well? EDIT: And the second test hand, why remove the two Endymions for an I:P Masquerena? You just took away two S/T negates and two 2800 bodies for your opponent to deal with.
Thank you for the feedback! In the first scenario, you are absolutely correct, this would have given us an additional negate on the field. Our thought process was that we would like to save the Institution on the field if possible rather than bouncing it back to hand with Endymion. This way we could have a search next turn via its effect. Though, of course we could wait for Master Cerberus to gain a counter as well! As for the second suggestion, you could absolutely leave the two Endymion on the field, which is certainly the better play as compared to that shown in the showcase! We greatly appreciate your advice and will keep this in mind moving forward.
@@TeaCGBreak Also important to note that Endymion gets the counters for the card he bounces, so those counters aren't lost if you bounce Mythical Institution unless Endymion is destroyed by battle, in which case you can search a Normal Spell (such as Spell Power Mastery) for followup on the next turn.
At the end of the combo, I only see using Master Cerberus being the better link for Apollousa so you still have Endy on board with Institutions counters EDIT; combo 2
I just started learning this deck & your guide is very helpful bruh 🔥 i have a question tho. How are you supposed to recover are if you open with a hand full of 2-4 pendulum & no 8 pendulum & vice versa with hand full of lvl 8s and no 2-4 pendulums? Also i had a thought to splash in some dogmatic (knighted and virtuous with dogmatika punishment) in the deck but what do you think about this idea vs the spellbook engine? Or maybe even running both together possibly?
Thank you for your comment. We are glad to hear our guide is rather helpful in learning to play the deck. Our suggestion when opening a hand with mostly low pendulum scale monsters is, if your have access to Magical Abductor, normal summon it to have a card that is able to generate spell counters, and if you have access to Master Cerberus place it into the scale and use it’s effect to add Jackal King to start gaining spell counters for Abductor. This ensures you will be able to at least put two monsters on board, which may be linked into Crowley to add a Spellbook of Secrets, to then add Knowledge or the Magician of Prophecy, gaining maximum value out of your spell cards building up your spell counters on field. Of course, each hand may not be ideal and you may have to “clog” your scales in order to give you the one counter you need to resolve Magical Abductor or Servant of Endymion’s effect. The primary goal for the deck is to generate as many spell counters as possible through its various spell cards, and although we have not personally tested an expanded Spellbook engine, it may be beneficial to do so! As for the Dogmatika package, it could help the deck have additional interruptions, but the prospective downside of locking yourself out of being able to use the extra deck for a turn has us favor additional spell cards rather than the Dogmatika cards.
Thank you for you comment! You are able to do so, as Magical Citadel of Endymion has the once per turn effect where “if you would activate a card effect by removing a Spell Counter(s) from a card you control, you can remove that many Spell Counters from this card instead.”
Correct. You are able to activate the effect of Servant, as well as Magister, Endymion, Reflection and so on, using the spell counters on Magical Citadel once per turn!
Just keep in mind also when you use Magical Citadels replacement effect to use counters on itself for the effect of another monster, you must use the exact number off of citadel and only citadel. So if you had 1 spell counter on servant and 3 on citadel, you can't split the counters between the two, so you must use all 3 off of citadel instead of using the 1 off servant and 2 off citadel, unlike the mythical beast cards and mighty master where when they can use counters anywhere and also split them between different cards
Very good execution but the endboard could Be better in my opinon. You didnt use the institute effect in the first test hand, You could recycler back garuda from the extra deck to your hand giving You and aditional disrupt. Also the 2 apos were unnecessary, if You have Selene and reflexión in gy, You have a disrupt in the opponents turn and after that You just IP to apollousa for 3 or more, and You still keep your endymion as an aditional disrupt. And the second IP was basically 1 less negate, coz You just used 2 endymions (2 negates) for 1 disrupt. Also Selene counts as a disrupt coz You had it in hand an gy, so Selene counts as a disruption too.
Thank you for your feedback. We definitely agree that using the two live Endymions for I:P was not the best play, and will keep these suggestions in mind moving forward!
I believe you can’t pendulum summon in the main monster zone right? I think you have to special summon in the extra monster zone or a zone a link monster points to.
Thank you for the feedback! We are glad to hear you enjoyed the analysis portion of the video. This is our first time doing so, and as such your support certainly matters to continue to innovate in our content moving forward!
Thank you for the comment. Depending upon the board the Virtual World player puts up, this deck may struggle against card such as AA-Zeus and Phantom Fortress Enterblathnir. If they end on Shenshen, you may be able to crash into it with Endymion. Though, they could stop the attack with Chuche or Xuanwu. Since a majority of their effects to special summon are monster effects, you may be able to stop their turn outright with the right first-turn board! Since some VW players are opting to play a Crystal Wing package with Ultimaya Tzolkin, this match up is certainly not the easiest going second.
This is awesome and a good tutorial for someone wanting to learn Endymion but Jesus Christ has this game gotten crazy and out of hand 😂 I miss yugioh from like 15 years ago
Thank you for the question. We prefer the look and feel of Dragon Shield Matte Whites, as they really make the cards stand out upon first glance. Also, for cards that may have slight edge wear, the white may hide this to a certain extent! Everyone has a personal preference, and DS Whites work very well for us
In my opinion allure of darkness and upstart goblin are the best opportunity to draw cards in this deck besides spellbook support. Your deck profil is solid but, I am playing this deck since it came out and can say pot of desire can be a toxic card for this deck. Reason why is, because Jackal king and Mighty Master you really need them as much as possible in your Deck for your combos first example: You use Pot of desire and lose 2 Mighty Master. That can be disgusting when you are reliant of his Pendelum Effect more than one time when your oppenent use mystic mine or something annoying. second example: you use pot of desire and lose servant of Endymion. You cant get access of a second copy and servant is one but not the most important card in the deck. third example: you use pot of desire and lose Jackal King. After you lose one jackal king, Master Cerberus will be annoying in your hand because it will be not a good access to summon master cerberus when you draw a copy of jackal king.
