Hey Evan canadian fan Cliff here. I came into wsm 2024 rooting for hooper but left a huge singleton fan. I was at the rail during the podium and was one of the ppl calling you over. You showed such strength and perseverance after that frame carry ill be in your corner from now on. Youre the best showman in the strongman competition and i cant wait to see where you go from here.
dunno about tom, he' smoked things and will continue on top like shaw did for awhile, since shaws retired i seriously doubt anyone is topping tom for a minute (and yes i'm an american and would love for evan to take the gold but gotta be real bro) however i'm thinking though the rivaly between hooper and evan will be perfect

@user-strength10 Strongman standard is so much bigger now compared to Big Z and Shaw era, Shaw Thor and Hall era. We didn't have as many athletes who was capable to consistently challenge those eras, since strongman has become full time sport for athletes now, standard is risen we seeing athletes we didn't expect to do well like Matt Ragg, Tristian Hoath for example

Yeah i hear you bro regarding the keg toss. It's not solely a test of strength, which is what it should be, it's half strength half precision. In my opinion, the keg toss should not have a set bar you have to cross over, it should just be a maximum height. Basically who can throw it the highest full stop. Even then though you could argue that precision comes into it since angle would have an effect.
I was so gutted for you but also to be on the podium was awsome. Keep up the good work and itll be yours. Bitter sweet but a step in the right direction.

So one of the 13k subscribers. I’ve been a Tom fan for awhile. Just not from what he has been able to do but relatable cause I have a son dealing with what he has overcome. As a father, it truly admirable cause I se my kids being capable of what he has achieved. But….I’ve flowed you and knew for fact you were going to podium it was just when. After this year I will put money on this, you will win world’s strongest man, it’s just when. Early on it felt like you were dealing with an identity crisis. Not for the bad but just didn’t know who you needed to be for competitions. There is a lot of comparison to Eddie and that is not bad at all. Eddie got 3rd then won the title. It’s in your cards dude. Surround yourself with the greats like Brian and you’ll bring that title back home to the US. Super proud and always will root for the states. You are right there and you know what needs to be done. Excited to see what comes this year for you.

So it's cool to see Tom Stoltman win. However, if I could see in the future and pick a winner I'd want Evan Singleton to win. I heard some guy tell you that you deserve a 1st place at WSM in a different youtube video. I totally agree with that statement. I know you've won 1st at more than 1 Giants Live. I myself have some major weight lifting goals I hope to achieve within the next few years. I hope to deadlift 500 pounds for 10 reps someday. I am currently at 2 reps with 5 plates on DL. I can log clean and press 220 pounds. I am hoping to hit 250 in the next few years. So yeah, I hope you get 1st place at WSM. And I hit some more serious weight on deadlift and overhead press.

Congrats! I think you need to learn from the best- 55x WSM Pudzianowski. You said about 3 from 6 events "I don't like it". Pudz always said "If you want to be strongest man you can not like ir dislike an event. You have to be good at everything"
Yeah exactly. Its aweome nailing an event win but consistancy is key. WSM can be won or lost on getting low points on one event. Coming top 3/4 in every event should be the goal not winnint a single event.

Yes problem is this guy isn't competing for top step until he proves he no longer has bad events he will never win wsm that dosnt mean he can't win it but you have to make your weaknesses strengths, take tom conans wheel was always a weakness he got wheel worked diligently on it and now he's finished 3rd in event considered a weakness Evan has to do same with couple of events then he will be competing with them guys.
@@judshuttie70 TBF out of the chasing pack of none winners, Evan is showing himself to be one of the main contenders for podium finishes. He has already improved his concentration of effort etc, i see no reason he cant improve in the other areas he is slightly weaker and be competing with Tom, Mitch and maybe others for that top spot.

Was very impressed with his performance. He certainly has the potential to be a multiple winner of WSM. And it was kinda nice to see a calmer Evan, mainly because I often see him doing mistakes when he attacks events like an overexcited puppy. One of the things I like the most about this sport are all the wonderful personalities. None of the backstabbing and whining you see in bodybuilding, but really nice people actually cheering each other on, training together, giving each other advice. What other sport actually does that!

I nearly shit myself with fear and anger when I heard “you got hurt” during an event. Thank god for that space between the tool box and the ground.

Congrats! I think you need to learn from the best- 55x WSM Pudzianowski. You said about 3 from 6 events "I don't like it". Pudz always said "If you want to be strongest man you can not like ir dislike an event. You have to be good at everything"
Yeah exactly. Its aweome nailing an event win but consistancy is key. WSM can be won or lost on getting low points on one event. Coming top 3/4 in every event should be the goal not winnint a single event.

I remember seeing you in previous WSM contests but i was too busy hoping brian shaw won a 5th title to pay too much attention, but i gotta say, watching you compete this year really made me take notice and i'm so glad you made the podium. You truly deserved it and i'll be rooting for you next year!

Yes problem is this guy isn't competing for top step until he proves he no longer has bad events he will never win wsm that dosnt mean he can't win it but you have to make your weaknesses strengths, take tom conans wheel was always a weakness he got wheel worked diligently on it and now he's finished 3rd in event considered a weakness Evan has to do same with couple of events then he will be competing with them guys.
@@judshuttie70 TBF out of the chasing pack of none winners, Evan is showing himself to be one of the main contenders for podium finishes. He has already improved his concentration of effort etc, i see no reason he cant improve in the other areas he is slightly weaker and be competing with Tom, Mitch and maybe others for that top spot.
@@Dillinja2017 absolutely he's shown he's one of best of the rest but as I said until he improves his weaknesses he's not challenging Mitch or tom for top spot not knocking him he's 3rd strongest man on earth I might be bottom 3 on earth lol, the guy is insanely strong just my opinion he's not quite enough to be challenging top 2 yet, again I say yet though the guys got every attribute needed just needs to improve few events or hope them events are not in wsm in future but most years your going to get shoulder press axle and or wheel but hey what do I know I'm just some dude watching these titans compete, one thing I will say Evan said himself he's not happy and these are his weaknesses so I'll let him decide but hope you don't think I was trying to diminish him it wasn't my intent.

He seems to want to improve and think he will put the right effort in to try and improve his weaker events

Was very impressed with his performance. He certainly has the potential to be a multiple winner of WSM. And it was kinda nice to see a calmer Evan, mainly because I often see him doing mistakes when he attacks events like an overexcited puppy.
One of the things I like the most about this sport are all the wonderful personalities. None of the backstabbing and whining you see in bodybuilding, but really nice people actually cheering each other on, training together, giving each other advice. What other sport actually does that!
