@arthrfleck I hope you're not actually a tattoo artist. Anyone who makes a living by permanently scarring people's bodies has an ethical and professional responsibility not to do something that can ruin a customer’s life just to make a quick buck. Warnings are ineffective, people don't get it, they want what they want right now and they aren't able to accept that it could ruin their life. That’s why nearly every professional tattoo artist will say no to a face tattoo if someone isn’t already visibly tattooed. Doing a face tattoo as a _first_ tattoo is particularly irresponsible. That person has no idea how their body will react to tattoo ink and the trauma of getting a tattoo, and they have no experience healing tattoos. They could end up with a badly scarred, damaged tattoo in the most visible area of their body for the rest of their life.

31:21 Hi, tattoo artist here! This is a ballpoint cartridge, a ballpoint pen tip with ink compartment instead of a needle bar. You can use these to practice the motions of tattooing on paper or skin without it being permanent. Apparently got dipped in tattoo ink too to make it more convincing. But since the ballpoint tip requires ink with high viscosity to work well (which, again, is already built into the ink compartment of the tip) and tattoo ink is really liquidy its getting more smeared than anything. Agreed. Random white women are not being kidnapped from Walmart and target and trafficked. That’s not how trafficking happens, not to mention the MULTIPLE times someone has made a video claiming they were “almost trafficked” just for someone like a Walmart employee to make a video saying that did NOT happen and that the entire situation was heavily embellished and misrepresented. These made up stories for attention only fear monger and spread misinformation about trafficking which does nothing for actual victims but potentially hurt them further.
That “all you can eat” tattoo one was an apprentice. That’s what it’s so cheap. In my experience apprentices usually have to do X amount of tattoos before they’re allowed to take their own clients. So they usually do promotions for walk ins. I know I have quite a few tattoos from friends that were coming up in the industry that I got done so they could start taking their own clients. none of them cost more than $30 (+tip) bc the point when you’re an apprentice isn’t to make money, it’s to get better at the craft & practice. No apprentice is out here making bank. Lol. So it’s a very easy way to earn your stripes & become a “real” artist.
I just wanted to say thank you for this channel. For the longest time I wanted a tattoo but was too scared/unsure. Most of my family have tattoos but it never felt right for myself to get one due to nerves. This channel gave me the comfort and assurance to go for it and last week I finally did. It's a small tattoo but I love it and I can't thank you enough for giving me the confidence to do it. Thank you so much Lauren.
My grandmother was an amazing artist. My grandmother died about 8 years ago. My first tattoo was of a drawing she did when she was 16. I also got this tattoo after almost loosing my life in a car crash as a celebration of life.
I think we all know the psychology behind that Rich guy would be that a woman with tattoos affected him mentally in a negative way whether it was a family member, friend or stranger
Cheeseburger tattoo guy seems pretty awesome! I just looked up his TikTok, and saw his April tattoo (came out really cool) and watched his “tattour” (tattoo tour).
With the first tattoo on the face, I think as long as the artist makes it beyond clear how it can affect the person's life and the customer understands then go for it. At the end of the day if a person want the tattoo they're gonna get the tattoo. If 1 artist says no they're just gonna find someone that will say yes, and the artist that just says yes may have no idea what they're doing.
I just wanted to tell you I absolutely love your videos, you always gives me so much comfort. My boyfriend even noticed I look really comfy and happy when watching your channel, and when I am stressed out he says "go watch the tattoo lady". Lots of love from France ❤️
I passed out 2 times getting my back piece done. My poor artist is like 80 lbs and 5 ft tall and I’m 275 and 5’9”. lol. Second time she had me laying flat but first time I fell out of the chair and the client next to us getting his tat done helped pick me up. Oops 😅
just got the first part of my first tattoo! i couldn't get the shading oden though because my nerves were very shot and i was feeling unwell. but after the line art heals I'm going to go back and get the shading done!
6:12 No, they should have still said no. Especially after she claims that there was something off about him, there is a good chance that he had a mental episode or something similiar that clouded his decision making. Mentally Healthy people don’t decide for a tattoo like that
There's something about tattoos fading into the sleeves/collars of a shirt like yours that is so cool! I always watch your videos at the end of my work day and it makes it go by so fast!
I think I understand the as many tattoos as you can for a flat rate thing for an apprentice. I think it's a skill building exercise for the apprentice to work on speed and efficiency in workflow, since most places aren't doing a ton of walk-ins like they used to back in the day, and that's a way to get a similar experience.
Can I just say you always look amazing and especially today the outfit and the makeup and the hair, everything about your look is just JAW-DROPPING PERFECT
16:44 this is why I always always eat something before I get a tattoo, have a soda with me at the appointment (in a bottle of course), and have a cookie waiting for when I’m done! I forgot to have a soda at my last appointment, and near the end of a rather large tattoo with full color I felt like I was getting a little fuzzy around the edges, and I had to take a break to go get a drink, never again.
I remember during my first tattoo, when i felt the needle I was like “oh yeah this isn’t that bad!” Then out of curiosity I looked at the machine and the needles going into my skin and IMMEDIATELY got so incredibly lightheaded that I felt like I was dying 😭 someone got me an iced chocolate that brought me back but yeah… made me remember that there’s a reason I don’t watch while I get injections.
14:50 I never passed out while getting tattooed but I almost passed out while the artist drew the stencil on my skin (freehand). Standing still for an hour was to much for me and I was sooooo embarrassed. 😅
Been watching your channel since before this series started, and watching every episode as it comes out ❤100 is such a wild milestone and it's wonderful how you manage to make every single episode new, refreshing, and entertaining under the premise.

Almost passed out once, it was a really hot day. Right I had to run to my car and back and I was already starting to sweat. My tattoo artist was ready right away and I sat down and after a good 20 minutes I got hot, nauseas, and blurry vision. They were awesome and turned up the AC to help haha. I was chill (pun intended) afterwards lol
14:52 there’s something about when that part of your nervous system gets triggered. I remember getting my iud in and they warned me that I may feel like I’m going to pass out because the nervous system gets triggered and I remember getting dressed after and being perfectly fine. Then I’m at the check out desk and suddenly like oh man it’s happening but I didn’t want to tell a nurse because I didn’t want them to make me wait until I was better because I just wanted to get home so I managed to get to the waiting room and have some water until I was good enough to get to the car. Thank goodness I had my boyfriend at the time drive me because I don’t think I could have driven home at that point.
I volunteered for a Body Worlds exhibit at a museum. Part of my job was to radio an onsite paramedic if a exhibit visitor fainted or looked ill. So just psychological stress can cause fainting.
I have a 25 year old tattoo and a 22 year old artist, my old one retired. I’m excited to see what he’s going to do to freshen it up. It’s the first time he’s going to work on a tattoo that’s older than him
I know this is late, but with your latest video and now rewatching this one, the whole passing out after the tattoo and the other time could be because of the suspected POTS. I've been diagnosed with POTS for 5 years, and passing out is always in the back of my mind, especially after tattoos. I have to be extra careful moving around after since there's a significantly higher chance of passing out. My only tip is that if you start feeling very sweaty or your vision or hearing goes out, sit down as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, you may hit the ground either way. It's never fun, but getting answers will be the hardest part.
just randomly stumbled across your video on my feed after not watching any of your videos for a long time, and omg!! you're glowing. You look absolutely amazing these days
Haven't finished watching the video yet but hearing you talk about almost passing out makes me feel so much better! I had the same experience, I was okay through pretty much the whole tattoo (started to struggle in the last half hour during the white highlights but wasn't too bad) and then whilst my artist was wrapping me up my vision started going black and I was like "uhh I think I need to sit down". My artist looked at me and was immediately like "lie down. Lie down right now." And she gave me a glucose tablet (I think?) And I was fine and drove home after 😂
35:20 That is the most Iowa thing I ever heard, and I love it! My stepdad is from there and he would 100% do something like that but for pizza since that is his favorite fast-food item.
I’ve never had a tattoo but I drew one for someone to get and accompanied him to get it. I almost passed out without realizing it was happening because I was just standing watching. The tattoo artist was the one who noticed I looked off and I apparently freaked him out 😂
I had just sat down with my (late) lunch, opened up youtube and boom, a new treacletatts video! Yaaay! So yes, I had my snacks and beverage and was comfy cozy! ❤😂😊
the all you can eat tattoos are really good practice for apprenticeships though, and it did say she was an apprentice so i think its a really cool idea and it does end up going towards the artists skill, plus it helps build a clientele for them😊
27:15 this argument makes me giggle cuz I’m trans lol (non binary specifically) I actually got told this argument from my grandmother who I’m not out to and it gave me a petty sort of euphoria. (I could be out if I wanted to tho. I’m lucky to have a lot of my family behind me. I’m just scared of cutting off that relationship if it becomes the worst case scenario, specifically for my dad cuz she’s his mom)
I am a grandmother. I am taking college courses and among many younger people. If someone shares their identity with me, I am honored that they trusted me enough to share that information. Conversely, my classmates don't owe it to me to reveal how they identify. I want to support every individual's journey, as long as they are not harming me or others. I am sorry you feel your granny may not fully support your unique personhood. I am glad your tattoos help you feel more yourself.
32:50 I’ve never had them become raised while I’m sick, BUT last summer I discovered that mosquito bites cause this for me. I got bitten on the arm and all of the surrounding areas with ink raised slightly. It was the weirdest thing! I presume this is caused by an inflammatory response. It went away after a day but it was freaky
I've got quite a few tattoos and I always tell people when asked that my thigh and the back of my calf were definitely the WORST when it comes to pain, especially the closer it got to my hip and knee. The calf was because it is mostly blackwork so it was a lot of scratching on that skin. I think if I had gotten my thigh one first, I wouldn't have gone back for any of my other tattoos. 😂
I was very close to passing out when I got my shoulder tattooed! Although I was definitely not hydrated and I hadn't eaten, I haven't had any issues since. Also, these "tattoos ruin a woman's body" type people genuinely make me want MORE tattoos. Please, anything for these creeps to stay far away from me lol
Serving us some delightful Wednesday Addams vibes today, are we? Also I am SO MAD that cheeseburger guy is all the way out in Iowa because I have been sitting on a flash design that I have been DYING to put on someone for at least two years of a skull devouring a cheeseburger.
I’ve been watching you since 2023 and finally I’m getting my first tattoo - getting a snake wrapping around my thigh up to my hip, estimated 5 hours for it, split it into two sessions (3 and 2) and hearing the thigh is super spicy has me excited and nervous lol! Had several people call me insane, mainly men, and women have had full confidence I can sit it just fine! Hoping it goes well lmao, 9 days to go! (16th)
While getting my sleeve, I found out that some of the nerves in my mid/upper arm were connected with my top surgery scars, so I get double pain in those spots. By comparison, the elbow/ditch felt like a dream. Tattoos hurt people differently.
I got a tattoo about a month ago. It was a long, 8 hour session. My entire inner forearm. I made it through that. But I also got a small tattoo on the same day. One on my wrist. Added it on before the appointment because it wasn't going to be worth making an entirely new appointment for. So, 8 hour tattoo, done, cleaned up, pictures taken, second skin put on, and then a little break while my artist set up for the second tattoo. Turns out, getting your inner wrist tattooed REALLY hurts. It was the worst part of the big tattoo, and the little one was going on the wrist of my other arm lol. It is the M from one of the Bad Omens logos. So all it is is 3 rectangles...My artist finished the second one, and I had to tell him that I needed a minute. He looked at me and said "Oh yeah, you do look a bit pale." Then he grabbed a soda and bag of chips for me lol. I didn't feel like I was going to pass out, but I got hot, a little bit light headed, and nauseous. I felt like I was going to throw up. I think the break between the two was what did me in. Body thought it was all over with, and then told me we were done when that second one got started. I did finish it though! I just needed like a 20 minute break lol.
About the fainting thing, I seem to have no issues with tattoos so far (but I have limited experience in that field, only two tattoos and only one that had a long session) but I faint every time I get a new piercing, no matter what I do, like I always go in after having food, have a bit of sugary candy just before getting pierced, well hydrated and rested, and still I always faint to the point the last two piercings I had done I told the piercers ahead of time about it. Current theory is that the sudden pain of a piercing causes my blood pressure to plummet and make me faint, but more constant pain even if it's quite intense gives me time to adjust.
I think the, "passing out when finished" is a mix of low blood pressure and the absence of adrenalin because the pain is over. Eat eat eat, drink, relax before leaving if avle
I passed out during my back tattoo. Came too, and then said "I think I'm gonna pass out" and my hubby said "again?" Lmao. I had no idea I already had. It happened cause I had a busy day at work and hadn't had chance to eat (stupid I know) but after the artist gave me sweeties and water I was fine. I always take sweets and water with me now! 😅
I have 2 thigh tattoos. One is higher up, to the side and the other is straight on, in the middle of my thigh. The first one I felt absolutely nothing, nada. The second one made me wanna cry my eyes out 💁🏻♀️ Same artist, the first has more black, the second is larger. Do with that what you will 🏃🏻♀️➡️
I love the Corporate Morticia Addams vibes 🖤🥀 Also, I got my first tattoo on my forearm (I have 6 as part of an inprogress patchwork sleeve) and have designed a lot of mine and pre-planned the placement for my sleeves and everything else I'm getting to be easily hidden by clothes if the need arises. 😅
if I were to hear the "did you know those are permanent?" I'd stare at them, stare at the person, lean in... and whisper "you can see them too?"

Love the delicate nose tattoo as well. I’ve never been a fan of face tattoos, but that one was beautiful, subtle and very creative. ❤
19:15 “would you just go to any old dentist?”
*veneer techs laughing in the distance*
I had that same thought...who is gonna tell her about the "veneer tech" scammers in the US 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Literally running to grab my snacks
Run run run 😂
Love that flag slayy
I just wanted to say thank you for this channel. For the longest time I wanted a tattoo but was too scared/unsure. Most of my family have tattoos but it never felt right for myself to get one due to nerves. This channel gave me the comfort and assurance to go for it and last week I finally did. It's a small tattoo but I love it and I can't thank you enough for giving me the confidence to do it. Thank you so much Lauren.
Oh this makes me so so happy 😭🥹!!!! Thank you for your kind words, and I’m so proud of you for getting your first!!! 🩷🥳
you just gotta love the cheeseburger sunglasses guy.
Hurt my back at work and a 40 min tattoo enthusiast reacts is exactly what I needed for laying on the couch. Thank you Lauren 🫡❤️
Oh I’m so sorry my love!! I hope the pain eases for you soon 🩷
Cheeseburger Guy has the confidence in being weird/goofy that I wish I had! 😄🤘🍔
My grandmother was an amazing artist. My grandmother died about 8 years ago. My first tattoo was of a drawing she did when she was 16. I also got this tattoo after almost loosing my life in a car crash as a celebration of life.
"You know those are permanent right?"
Well I f**king hope so I paid thousands of $$ for them I would hate for them to just disappear!
I think we all know the psychology behind that Rich guy would be that a woman with tattoos affected him mentally in a negative way whether it was a family member, friend or stranger
“There’s nothing in that massive forehead.” PERFECTLY stated!
Cheeseburger tattoo guy seems pretty awesome! I just looked up his TikTok, and saw his April tattoo (came out really cool) and watched his “tattour” (tattoo tour).
I was just watching a marathon of your older videos and this showed up! Love a fresh video
🥰❤️
With the first tattoo on the face, I think as long as the artist makes it beyond clear how it can affect the person's life and the customer understands then go for it. At the end of the day if a person want the tattoo they're gonna get the tattoo. If 1 artist says no they're just gonna find someone that will say yes, and the artist that just says yes may have no idea what they're doing.
The edges of my tattoo raise when I'm feeling allergies real bad!
Same
I’m very heavily tattooed but the majority of them raise if I’m having allergies or I’m getting sick
I've had mine raise up when I've been scratched by my dog..?
Same! Also when I got an infection of any sort, like a cold.
My thigh tattoo was infinitely more painful than even my rib cage tattoo. But the end I was biting down on popsicle sticks to stop from screaming.
I just wanted to tell you I absolutely love your videos, you always gives me so much comfort. My boyfriend even noticed I look really comfy and happy when watching your channel, and when I am stressed out he says "go watch the tattoo lady". Lots of love from France ❤️
Yes Lauren, please keep us updated on cheeseburger guy. (TH-cam is my only form of entertainment) 🖤💙
The guy that you called an incel made me laugh because my doctor has both tattoos and ear piercings and he's the best doctor I've ever had lol
I love that you listened to your body and put you first!! Proud of you for that 🩷
6:12 No, they should have still said no. Especially after she claims that there was something off about him, there is a good chance that he had a mental episode or something similiar that clouded his decision making. Mentally Healthy people don’t decide for a tattoo like that
Watching this in the ER waiting room, happy to see this as a distraction 😊
Oh goodness!! Sending you well wishes ❤️
hope all goes well! sending well wishes!
@@treacletatts thank you ❤ they were able to get me doing better and home 😊
There's something about tattoos fading into the sleeves/collars of a shirt like yours that is so cool! I always watch your videos at the end of my work day and it makes it go by so fast!
I think I understand the as many tattoos as you can for a flat rate thing for an apprentice. I think it's a skill building exercise for the apprentice to work on speed and efficiency in workflow, since most places aren't doing a ton of walk-ins like they used to back in the day, and that's a way to get a similar experience.
Me going to get my snacks and beverage 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️
Helllll yeah!!!
There are almost 100 videos of these because they are SO GOOD! My favorite series to watch
If it wasn’t her vibe, whyyy did she go through with it when she saw the stencil? 11:15
🥹🩷 appreciate you!!
My fave SunScreen is Bondi Sands SPF 50. It's super cheap and is broad spectrum and reef safe. It's the only cream that doesn't seriously burn my eyes.
Oooh good to know bc every sunscreen I’ve tried ends up with my eyes burning all day 😭😭
@@sunnyyy-333your eyes burn from sunscreen???
Thank you for these videos 💖 they are something I always look forward to. The cheeseburger tattoo person is living their best life and I'm absolutely here for it.
my comfort youtuber ❤

Almost passed out once, it was a really hot day. Right I had to run to my car and back and I was already starting to sweat. My tattoo artist was ready right away and I sat down and after a good 20 minutes I got hot, nauseas, and blurry vision. They were awesome and turned up the AC to help haha. I was chill (pun intended) afterwards lol
During my first tattoo, I was so fascinated by watching the process that I forgot to breathe!
I usually faint (or get very close) when I get pierced
It’s the first time he’s going to work on a tattoo that’s older than him
I can't lie I feel the "am I addicted to tattoos or the artist" like my artist is absolutely the most gorgeous woman I've ever seen.
❤😂😊
I fainted once. My body just reacts like that on the very beginning. I can't sit. I need to be on the bed when tatooed.
I was listening to the video and when the cheeseburger guy came up I thought it was a Jack in the Box commercial 😂
21:59 bro it came only out of my left side of the headphones, so it felt like someone was suddenly next to me. I have never been so scared
the all you can eat tattoos are really good practice for apprenticeships though, and it did say she was an apprentice so i think its a really cool idea and it does end up going towards the artists skill, plus it helps build a clientele for them😊
27:15 this argument makes me giggle cuz I’m trans lol (non binary specifically) I actually got told this argument from my grandmother who I’m not out to and it gave me a petty sort of euphoria.
Please, anything for these creeps to stay far away from me lol
i'm obsessed with the cheeseburger man i had to go follow him 🤣
Serving us some delightful Wednesday Addams vibes today, are we? Also I am SO MAD that cheeseburger guy is all the way out in Iowa because I have been sitting on a flash design that I have been DYING to put on someone for at least two years of a skull devouring a cheeseburger.
OMG I just noticed your background "treacle" lights HOW COOL!
(16th)
how did it go??
While getting my sleeve, I found out that some of the nerves in my mid/upper arm were connected with my top surgery scars, so I get double pain in those spots. By comparison, the elbow/ditch felt like a dream. Tattoos hurt people differently.
26:25 when he said this I looked down at the goofy slug on my arm and scream-laughed
I just needed like a 20 minute break lol.
lol, if someone told me my tattoos were permanent, I would ask them for money for tattoo removal, then take that money and get more tattoos lol.
Lauren the two fishes on the girl’s back is the Pisces symbol.🥰
Looking stunning as always Lauren
About the fainting thing, I seem to have no issues with tattoos so far (but I have limited experience in that field, only two tattoos and only one that had a long session) but I faint every time I get a new piercing, no matter what I do, like I always go in after having food, have a bit of sugary candy just before getting pierced, well hydrated and rested, and still I always faint to the point the last two piercings I had done I told the piercers ahead of time about it. Current theory is that the sudden pain of a piercing causes my blood pressure to plummet and make me faint, but more constant pain even if it's quite intense gives me time to adjust.
I've never passed out but four times I have been so comfy, I have fallen asleep mid tattoo
Do with that what you will 🏃🏻♀️➡️
I love your videos!! You got a loyal viewing viewer up in here! :)
Ive searched high and low, where the heck is this top/dress whatever from. Its absolutely stunning cannot stop thinking about it
