Exactly. A lot of key information is left out of this video on purpose. Very few to no one is getting an exclusive job at a company to operate a drone. I bet that 145k salary he mentioned has a primary job function that's not a drone pilot. Far cheaper to send an employee to get certified rather than hire someone else to do it.
Very informative! Thanks a lot for putting this together. I have a few questions 1st: at 13:23, you say the drone jobbing companies pay very very low, could you give us some of those numbers compared to the averages of the other jobs you mentioned? 2nd: at 18:02 you mention and article about salaries but I can't find it ( I think it was supposed to be linked in the video but wasn't ) 3rd: at 12:42 When you mention surveyors, engineers and mappers... Are those drone pilots with engineering degrees? Or drone pilots on engineering job sites making deliverables for engineering clients? ( same question goes to the surveyors ) . Do you need a degree to do any of the work you mentioned in the video, such as being a mapper?
Where are you located? I saw a training opportunity offered by some temp agency and I was think about doing it and find a side gig to get some experience then offer my services to other clients when I have enough experience
PAUL thank you for all the information in this video you put out. I am just now climbing on board in this unique industry. The information you are providing is going to help me out a great deal. I truly thank you. And I'm also getting ready to look into signing up with Drone U, for my training, thank you.
I think right now most of the money is made by teaching others how to make money in this business. I know it’ll get better as time and technology increases
Your Camera presents has improved several fold. In the early days I found you to be quite stiff, putting too much effort into "looking" confident. You have made great progress. You seem much more relaxed and "actually" confident.
WELL WELL WELL, lol so if you buy your classes then you will well make 40% more than everyone else. At first I thought this was just a no biased video but just another sales pitch.
I was thinking the same thing! I even remember commenting on the other one saying something about "comparing salaries with gross revenue from self employment is not a good comparison".
Awesome Video Paul, I’m glad you put out this information on This Subject, I’m Looking to enroll into Drone U, I’ve been doing Some research and listening to your Podcasts for about 2 1/2 months and I believe your Courses offer a Heck of lot for the Monthly Payments and the Advancement through the Course to Start a Lucrative Life as A Drone Pilot, I’m looking forward to the Next Chapter in my Life learning about The Drone U Academy. Thanks 🙏
Thanks for all your help (and heavily promoted) website and services. I was just taken aback with your rather critical comments (deservedly so) on the Mavic 3, and later during the review, said it was a great drone to buy!?! With the criticism you had for this drone, I don't know that anyone would reach the conclusion that this drone was "a great drone to purchase". That said, with that bombshell, I'll end my question.

I want to do this. I'm going to retire in 3 years, and want to do TH-cam videos on geographically landscape media, as well as, real estate
The thing with drones is the package they come with already make its very easy to implement into somones job instead of creating a new position

How much do you pay your VO?
Your Camera presents has improved several fold. In the early days I found you to be quite stiff, putting too much effort into "looking" confident. You have made great progress. You seem much more relaxed and "actually" confident.
Verticals? What do you mean exactly?
Vertical markets, or "verticals," are business niches where vendors serve a specific audience and their set of needs
Is there drone delivery jobs like for Amazon or ups?
