I would def spend the Xtra and get the V6. I just bought 2018 tlx elite V6 AWD last week, it's amazing. Also if you do go with the 2.4 try to go with the AWD version

But the 15-17 models are less expensive if i can find one in good shape with low miles. I'm upgrading from my Nissan Altima which has been a great car for me. Would you spring for a 2018 if you were in the market now? I like the 2.4l with tech package. Thanks.
I cannot speak for the 2018 accord since I did not have direct experience with them to the degree that I did with the TLX. I can say that the TLX focused intensely on reducing interior cabin noise from the TSX which preceded it. The TLX was designed in line with the MDX, as opposed to the ILX which was more in line with the RDX. Smaller cars with Acura are cheaper in price and quality. The TLX, therefore, had to be a step up from the two cars it replaced: the 2014 TL and the TSX. Those two cars were based on Honda Accords of that generation (European spec accord in the case of the TSX). So I would say that it is likely much quieter inside a 2018 TLX than it is inside a 2018 Accord. TLX managed this using triple door seals and foam injected into the joints of the body during construction. It worked well. The 2.4 TLX is a better driving car than the 1.5T 2018 Accord for 2 reasons: 1. P-AWS - rear wheel steering allows the TLX to be more nimble at slow speeds and smoother at high speeds. This is especially beneficial considering the FWD drivetrain. It makes the TLX stand out amongst the competition for those who appreciate that sort of thing. I certainly did. 2. It is a naturally aspirated 4 cylinder which distributes the power amongst 8 gears in a dual clutch transmission. The DCT was very well done as far as smoothness and reliability goes. I had no issues with jerkiness or mechanical failure as has happened with other new DCT cars. The 2.0T Accord however is ridiculously good. It’s drivetrain compares better to an Audi A4 2.0T and with the hatchback body style that came out at that time, it’s especially practical, sporty and affordable. It just doesn’t have the extra noise deadening nor does it have the all wheel steering. Conclusion: if you’re getting the smaller engine choice, TLX is the way to go. If you care about a slightly better drive which can be majorly impressive at times, TLX is the way to go. If you’re looking for a more complete package and more power, then the Accord 2.0T is the way to go. I hope this helps.
Acura isn't clear on this. They call it "leather-trimmed". I'm guessing the V6 has more leather because it's supposed to appeal to a different demographic while the I4 is exclusively faux leather.
What is real life 0 to 60 in 2.4? Other channel says around 7.6, what is your average? Thank you for posting video! Much need. Is 2.4 a good buy overall? I drive a lot, comfort is my priority and I want to be safe for highway merging. You think this car can fit?
Chirag Dave this was all about features and stuff, but I was gonna do a highlight video about the drive too, the dual clutch and 8 gears enables quick shifts and a gear for the right RPM so you can merge better. I don’t have any issues getting up to speed on the highway with my 2.4. Vtec and the 8speed solve that problem

I picked up my 2.4 yesterday and could not be happier. I did not time 0-60 but I did try the different driving modes and the car accelerates very quickly in Sport and Sport + modes. It is so comfortable that I want to do a road trip just to stay in it for multiple hours. The driving modes make a huge difference, changing the car from sedate and smooth to more of a BMW feel as you cycle from Eco through the levels up to Sport+. I thought it would jus be a gimmick but each mode has a noticeably different character. It also looks different in real life than in videos and pictures. Very classy ride with just the right amount of aggression to turn some heads.
Forgive me for the late reply; I don’t know how I missed this. As new, this depends completely on your preferences and needs. They are similar in many ways, but I have preferred the TLX to the Q50 for the handling and performance as well as the quality overall. The Q50 when I drove it seemed less connected. It is more comfortable though and you may prefer the engine/transmission if the Q50 compared to the TLX V6 with the 9-speed. The ES350 is a great car, but the technology seems dated to me, although I haven’t seen the new ones to be honest. They’re all worth checking out, and there is no definitive answer I can give on either of them.
