The native-american translation to topeka cracked me up, I have been living in the state since I was 5 and I have never heard that one.

I would not be able to verify that, I’m more fluent in Irish Gaelic than Native American

Sebastian Ioan so far you were accurate on the information. Some other facts you could have done are stuff like the fact that Kansas is part of a rural opportunities program that pays new residents for the first few years of living here. Or that Kansas is the largest producer of grain, even the fact that Walter P. Chrysler founder of the Chrysler auto brand, and Dwight D. Eisenhower were both Kansas residents.

Well, I guess I could go on and on with every country or state. I know there are tons of facts out there, but I can't fit them all in one video. But hopefully my videos will lead others to search for more info.

I live in eastern Kansas, and a lot of people think that all of Kansas is very flat with few trees and, there is nothing to do but outdoor activities. But that is generally western Kansas, big difference in a lot of things between eastern and western Kansas

Yes, this Kansan has been in a tornado. Two, actually.
The second one, May 28, 2019 is an experience which I would never wish on anyone.
We are still dealing with damage. The house is repaired. The last of many trees that were lost in the storm are my ongoing task and nearly complete.
    Firewood, anyone?

The first major settlement happened in Kansas through driving cattle up from Texas to railway systems.

You obviously haven't explored Kansas, or understand the forces which shaped it.
Yes, statistically Kansas is as flat as a pancake. Kansas Territory extended to the Continental Divide to the west, but the founders of the state felt that the unsavory lifestyle of miners and mountain men wasn't up to their moral standards, and abandoned that territory.
The Flint Hills is the remnant of the tall and short bluestem prarie which nutured huge herds of the American bison for millennia. Hundreds of thousands of cattle graze it every year. The natural processes of fire rejuvenate the grasses and forbes, and eliminate naturally colonizing trees and woody plants.
Southeast Kansas' geology is the western extension of the Ozark uplift. Lead, zinc and minor minerals were extensively strip mined, leaving terrain which has been converted to a world class fishery.
The Gypsum Hills, west of Wichita are a beautiful expression of the inland sea which covered the middle continent hundreds of millions of years ago.
Scott City State Park, the Monument Rocks, Castle Rocks, Rock City, and the Mushroom Rocks all tell their stories from this period of earth's history. The petroleum industry does too.
The Smoky River Valley extends nearly the width of the state, joining the Republican River in Junction City to form the Kansas River. All three are major routes of travel by animals and humans.
The American Eel used the headwaters of the Smoky Hill as breeding grounds prior to flood control reservoirs.
Kansas has scenery as diverse as it's people.

That's so nice. Basically, you begin with curiosity, continue with asking yourself questions and reading, and end with a desire to share your knowledge with others. Be curious and never stop learning.
