      Ahhh ... well done. You've been "Hainbached." By Hainbach himself! You've reached "Hainbachosity...!" It's the highest level any synth nerd can achieve.
      Seriously though, cool video. I think you just persuaded me to get a Swarm. Thanks.

    if anything - this shows that its not the hardware, its the composition that's of greatest importance... that said, the swarm really excels at character and versatility - its the derelict warehouse plaits. I'm all about Patch #2 for the rhythmic sensibilities ♫♪˙‿˙♫♪

      @@polythingies can I also ask how you came up with the midi? I downloaded them too and they are crazy. Completely amazing. The note range and different length of notes. I would never have come up with that. Did you just do them in Ableton?

    • @polythingies
      @polythingies  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@Kompa55_Music Yes, these are made in ableton ( and for some, i started doing it on the squarp pyramid). With midi, it's funny to make complex sequences to play with the saturation/modulation between notes who happens with the swarm :)

    Patch 7 is nuts. Just when I thought it couldn't get more crazy, you kept going and brought it all the way back to the beginning. As someone that has had this thing for only a couple weeks and has difficulty taming this thing, that was amazing to watch.

  • @Berus7777

    This is one of the best synth demo/patch demo videos I have seen in the last year. What we're seeing here is a truly innovative, unique instrument being used by someone with the talent to showcase its abilities. It's a shame this synth has been discontinued, supposedly due to Eowave being unable to source the necessary electronics for what they say is "a few years". I hope that won't be the case. Oh, and as for which patches I liked... honestly, all of them. The 3rd or 4th patch had a sort of "post TD-3" sound that worked amazingly well with the ratcheting, but honestly, all of them... including the one which appeared to have been sped up a bit... were fantastic. Great video!

    This is one of the best and most imaginative demos of the QS that I've seen. You do a brilliant job of showing off some of its more musical capabilities, rather than just atonal weirdness. Don't get me wrong - I love a bit of atonal weirdness - but you really show how versatile this little synth can be just on its own. It's sent me rushing back to mine with a whole load of new ideas, so thanks very much. Good work!

    Hi, just stumbled across your vid! I got a Swarm a while back, and whilst it's not a bread and butter synth (there's more than enough of those), it has rapidly become my go - to synth when I just want to go bonkers and make a racket! Oddly enough, I then find I have a springboard to a spiffing tune. Highly recommended - JUST LIKE YOUR EXCELENT VID. Cheers!

    how deep and clear can you get the bass on this baby (clear in a relative sense) ? I'm in the market for a synth that can handle the bass section in a minimal/micro house live setting.

    • @polythingies
      @polythingies  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not the best on sub bass, i would say it is great for mid bass so i don't know for a minimal house..

    • @cymbolic_space1832
      @cymbolic_space1832 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@polythingies fair. i was kind if guessing bassed on the demos i was watching. its hard to find something that is dedicated to deep subby basses and not the price of something a bit more versatile.
      most bass dedicated synths are clones or spiritual 303 successors which is cool but also lacking in the sub department. then you go moog and things get even more expensive.
      feels like a wild sheep hunt.

      Hello, you can't output the sequence un CV directly(but on the input of the strega, it might be fun)

    great patch ideas here, they sound awesome…unfortunately for me when i try to recreate these on my swarm none of the patches sound anywhere close…any tips / thoughts on that?

      I often play with sweet spots so all the parameters have to be on the same position(and the swarm patched same). I play sometimes with the polyphony too.
