After the events of Armageddon, the MK timeline was rebooted when a bloodied and defeated Raiden sent a warning to his past self. My theory is that Sindel was kind and caring before she died and was brought back a Revenant by Quan Chi; it's possible that Shao Kahn demanded she become heartless upon her revival, along with altered memories.
For all we know, her helping Shao Kahn murder Jerrod and conquer Edenia may be the results of a magical mind wipe/alteration performed during her revival.

The crazy thing is that, Netherrealm probably thought they were empowering her or some shit by having her be the evil Mallory Archer cougar... But they actually dumbed her down.
She used to be the tragic mother that killed herself to save an entire realm of people and was brought back to life in order to invade that realm she tried to protect. Then afterwards, when she is freed she leads the realm with her daughter and helps defeat the Dragon King in her ending.
So one is the thot and the other is the selfless queen that appears to be evil, but is actually a saint and is supposed to be the great female leader as well as the strongest female in MK

Zod wouldn't stand a chance against her. As an Edenian and Shao Khan's Ex-Wife, she has access to various magics. That scream and that hair alone would kill him.
Shanethefilmmaker It is not enough just to have access to “various magics” in order to beat a Kryptonian. Tbh that’s a grossly exaggerated weakness. They are vulnerable to magic yeah, but to what extent is hard to gauge And depends on the writer and iteration in question. Most of the time they’ve clearly survived magical attacks before despite their stated and show “weakness” to it. And the likes of Superman and Supergirl have defeated magic users before.
Sindel’s hair alone being enough to kill Zod is also not happening. Kryptonians vulnerability to magic most is seen applying to spell-casting and exotic abilities magic is associated with. That or blatantly strong magic users who warp reality at their leisure and are portrayed as a big deal in their story/universe. Physical power that is magical in nature, such as Sindel’s hair, is not likely going to hurt him or kill him so quickly. See: Every time Superman fights people like Shazam, Wonder Woman in a physical brawl.
In any case, Sindel is generally way to slow to even tag Zod with her magic in the first place. And is immensely physically inferior in every way. At least to most general versions of Zod.

It's why Goku was able to bitchslap him with a Power Pole because it was an item enhanced by magic. Sindel's hair and sonic scream are due to her being enhanced by magic. Meaning all she'd have to do is entangle him and snap his neck.
