Im just happy they followed through with the 5.7 conversion ... it took over 10yrs to get here ... but its here.
I need that 5.7 upper!!!

Is there any chance there’ll be an FN magwell adaptor for the AR so we can use our own FN mags? (I’m in CA and can no longer acquire mags over 10 rounds)

Does anyone actually know why they use a gas key, staked and everything, on what is essentially a blowback firearm. Why they don't remove it, or go to a one piece with the "tombstone" protrusion that you might see on the BCG of a piston AR. It just looks kind of messy to me for something that you don't need....
Cutting costs. Plugging a gas key of a firearm part that has economy of scale behind it is much cheaper than making one-piece carriers or ordering them from a company that makes piston guns.
Removing it would allow the carrier to rotate inside the receiver.
@@ChucksSEADnDEAD you know that makes a lot of sense, but at the same time it's very disappointing. Cmmg it's not exactly inexpensive, and you'd think, especially given the general Nuance of their design, that they might have gone with a more elegant solution, or actually made their own BCG that didn't look like an afterthought. I guess you can't have everything
I likes it. It makes me wonder-- are there REALLY people who think, 🤔 "I would buy one, and I have lots of Glock mags... but I'll buy the other one because it uses Scorpion mags, which look so much better than that angled Glock mag..." ? There are, aren't there? I mean, I might say, Scorpion mags have a few quality manufacturers, including PSA and Magpul, and are cheaper than Glock mags. But "better looking?" Is that serious? 🤨

merkavasNichtVelosipeds -- I don't get it. What I do get is: The 9x19 cartridge has a very slight slope (i.e., just line up 20 on a flat table case to case, and you'll see the line curve...). So the idea that a curved magazine like MP5 or scorpion has technical merit, as that slight curve has always has the potential to cause minor feed issues in straight magazines (e.g., Sten, Colt, MP, etc.). So curved magazines have inherently superior functionality with 9x19mm. Or, it did... Until Glock "solved" it with a slight "upward/forward" angle in the straight magazine. *But as far as "looks" goes? No. I don't really get that. Who cares how it "looks" -- does anyone care how their screwdrivers or hammers "look?" Guns are tools. If they work, they look great.The best "looking" guns are quality built guns.* Guns are tools, not fashion accessories. 🙄

A PC9 and Magpul GL mags are super bang for buck, Glock’s always been more on that cost-friendly and functional side.

For 5.7x28 I would rather have an AR57. Sorry but 50 round mags are the best mags.
