RIP, Foxy. I watched this video after the news of her passing. My condolences 🙏 you did an incredible job caring for and loving her. She's no longer suffering and in a wonderful, heaven full of kitty angels! Blessings, stay strong 💪🙏💞

Fasted Foxy is giving the same vibes as my cat when she was 12 weeks old and going in for her spay. She literally came into the lounge, stood on the coffee table and screamed directly into my face. The rage. 😹😻

Fasting a cat is the hardest thing. They get SO ANGRY. I'm just glad my cat's specialist didn't require fasting for her appointment yesterday, because there's nothing like 13 pounds of MAD tuxie overnight.

The wild thing is, I went to school with a guy that had the same problem. He had fallen and hit his jaw on a staircase when he was 6, which caused his jaw to be pushed back. It wasn't until he was 19, that he had an operation to push it forwards again
You do so much better than me. I don't wear makeup, pack lunches, or do ANYTHING THAT DOESN'T ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO BE DONE because I can't. Im technically "high functioning" AuDHD but Im a stone's throw from needing someone help me get through the day.
As the owner of a 14 year old cat who has lived with a permanent e-tube, I admire you. There's options even if you can't fix the jaw and many include a lovely quality of life. Mine requires a little extra time to feed, but otherwise barely knows he's any different from the other cats in the house. As a rescuer, you have to juggle so much, but I appreciate that you are willing and able to try for this little one.
My cat, Bueno, received a custom 3D printed mandibular prosthesis after resection of a cancerous mass, by preeminent surgical oncologist, Dr. Julius Liptak, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. May not be perfectly relevant to Foxywoxy, but good to know for possible future reference.
This deserves to be the pinned comment. Even though it might not be the solution for Foxy, maybe it will and I hope Mary sees it and can discuss it with the vet just to cover all the options. And maybe your comment can help others be aware to ask their vet about 3D printed mandibular prostheses in situations like your cat had.

oh god I've never been diagnosed but I do that exact ADHD scheduling thing. I just lie to myself that everything is 30 minutes earlier than it is, and somehow that usually works.

I have a special needs kitty with half a lower jaw bone and no teeth. Shes 9 months old. It was due to trauma as well. She also has a blockage in her nose (she cant breathe from her nose so she snorts all the time) and her right eye doesnt work or even open all the way. Her right eye itself is fused to her inner eyelid. She also has no teeth and her cute little tongue sticks out all the time. Shes the cutest thing ive ever seen. Shes the best kitty ive ever had and i love her more than anything in this world. Her vet sees her once a month, or as needed, and she has better medical care than i do 😍❤ shes precious. Shes the happiest little kitty you would ever meet and noone could possibly love her more than i do.

Good luck with your baby. Its a long and very very emotional road. Not just for you but for your fur baby. My fur baby still has night terrors but theyre getting better. She was very depressed when everything started and it took alot of love to get her back.

I did the same thing when my kitties had to be denied food...they sounded *so* pitiful, I ran and hid in our bathroom, and just 😭.
Fingers crossed that the imaging happens quickly and that things go well. ❤️ The idea that it’s trauma made me tear up, and at the same time be hopeful that they can improve the mechanical functioning of her jaw hinge.
Your ADHD math is so relatable (also the dysmorphia). Skin care is goals, though, especially before bed. I’ve got mornings down, but bedtime is still kind of a surprise every night no matter how many alarms I set. Apparently, I save all my “just one more thing” energy for then. 😂🤦🏻♀️
Can confirm that ADHD maths are a dark art known to few. To truly unlock its potential though you must set your clocks ahead, and then forget having done so

Foxy is epic levels of adorable and her rage of no breakfast was just as epic. I am so happy to hear there is a plan to create a plan for her and I hope it all goes smooth. (I kinda wonder if Foxy is gonna be a foster fail, though. She lurves you and I saw her keep looking back at you during the appointment.)

@@nodanceswithwolves8425 My current Great Quest is adopting a cat (or cats). I haven't had much luck so far, but I know patience will pay off. (My dogs miss our old cat as much as I do, but finding a cat people will adopt to a house with two giant fuzzy beasts is sometimes hard.)

I just did the fast w my foster ladies (I have 4 of the 6 laid in my garage. One, the one I was gonna keep, died from parasites at 4-5 weeks, one was too smart for trap or swaddle snag and may have been adopted by someone else as she hasn’t come to outside wet food for feral babies for weeks) as the boys will get fixed a different day. They. Were . Livid. I had wet food for them the instant I got home. But it’s better than them dying under anesthesia!
If anyone in the DFW area is interested in my babies, they’re the Disney Princesses a lovely Mini Semi Demi God, and a sweet Snowy Olaf! Except for Ariel, who is CLOSE but had bad Hooman experience before I got her inside, they are lap babies now!
