This is the ONLY video that allowed me to get my remote to work in my Canon EOS 7Ti's video mode!!! I can't thank you enough. By the time I discovered your video, I was ready to trash not only the remote but the entire camera . . . I was that frustrated. Now, if only Canon would hire you to write an instruction manual for their products.
I was at photo shoot and for first time ever used a remote, didn't work much, but after watching your video, I realize you have to be right time to it, for the remote/camera work
Good one .. some other videos on this topic are such shit honestly! The questions that came to my mind are: 1. Presumably there is that 'line of sight' that the remote needs to maintain with the remote control sensor on the camera which is in the front of the camera. I am not sure how well this works? 2. There seems to be no half press focussing function on the remote like in the camera or other wired remotes? Looks like this remote button focusses and takes the pic in one hit. 3. What happens when the video is recording and you switch the remote to the DOT position and try to take a picture? Does it take a pic when the video is recording? Cheers and I enjoyed your video.
From time-to-time, you sound a bit like Michael Caine. "You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!" :) Oh, and helpful vid, too. Saved me from buying a generic remote because the generic did not have the dual-mode button.
Not sure why you would need that, that delay is surely so you can press the release and then get in the shot. With a remote, you can already be in the shot and just use the 2-second delay to hide the remote.

Great stuff. What MrBuckaroonie said. I've been extremely frustrated this afternoon!! Thanks
how to change the battery
what I was interested in was how to change the battery. When I try to pull the case open it resists as if it's spring loaded.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!!!!!!! THIS IS THE ONLY ONE THAT HELP ME
So, when you want to get back to normal (non-remote) shutter control, you need to undo the remote settings, yes??
This was a good demo and instructional video
I used mine ONCE, and now the battery is flat, i dunno, seems you need to buy a new battery everytime you want to use it
Very helpful, thank you. Comprehensive but not boring

There is no way to get a 10 second delay with the remote?
