The camouflage kit worn by the SS was reversible, on side was autumn the other side summer. So absolutely mix them up. Even on the same mini I think, then you could even mix in some of the standard German grey as well.

Good knowledge! I will be mixing them up then, thanks for the tip!

      The pea-dot I don't think was reversible.

@@hobbywargamer8195 Correct. The "pea dot" camouflage pattern was dubbed "Erbsenmuster" and was meant to be used in all seasons, dispensing with the need for reversible smocks/uniforms.

Each Mg 42 has a second barrel, which you swap after an amount of shots or when it get´s to hot in generell. That´s what´s inside the green tubes that are carried by the second gunner. It´s called Wechselrohr. (By the way, the MG 42 is technically no LMG, it´s a medium Machine gun, allthough it´s standard issue equipment for German Infantry Squads.)

MG34/42 were both GPMGs, able to peform as LMG or HMG. It's a big part of why they were so revolutionary.

Good job! Very realistic poses and colours. The small ammopouches at each figure is only fo loadingstrips for the carbine. For each other weapons, there are specific pouches, as for the MP and Surmgewehr. The Man with the MG 42 wear the one toolpouch right side and a pistol on the left instead of the carbine ammopoches Also he carries an ammobox. The hemlmet covers were always made in a camopattern. Would like to see british infantry painting.

Towards the end of the war the German army was definitely a mixture of uniforms as supplies were not always available. I think you have done a great job with these and look forward to seeing some more.

Very impressed with your painting. Well put together video with lots of useful insights. Not like some who like the sound of their own voice. We'll done.

The item in the tubes that you have put on the loader is a second barrel for the MG42 which was swaped when it got hot. Camo looks good

Some superb posing there buddy........got a little bit too much of a sheen on the finish for my liking though, you’re right a thin coat of Matt varnish would elevate them from very good to brilliant.
The Waffen SS started off with their own camouflage patterns and had the pick of available equipment.
But as the war went on and the supply lines started to dry up they would utilise any clothing to hand including regular army camouflage clothing and captured equipment, and yes that tube contains a spare barrel..... because constant continued use would result in overheated and/or distorted barrels that needed replacing.
In my opinion, for what it’s worth, the more variety of clothing, webbing and equipment the better and the more individual each model looks. People underestimate the value of good posing and sensible kit distribution and you’ve got a definite gift for it.
Good video too, keep up the good work 👍👍👍

Good job on the camo, I like the approximate representation of the colours. I've heard of people painting pea dot camp with tooth picks which would drive me nuts!

I’ve gotten into 40k before I heard about BA. 40k is just to hard to play and understand. Everyone in my area plays Eldar and my GK’s get destroyed in turn 1.
I feel in love with BA watching your videos and going to start an army soon.
