A million thanks for preserving and sharing all these... 21:27 - I was searching far and wide for anything in raag Durga by Tai - other than her film song - and now I have it here! I am very fond of this raag (Shudhasaveri as we call it in Carnatic music).

She did not sing rag *Durga* in public, because it's devotional. *It was very personal prayer of a devotee* offered to The Devi. 🌷 *ONE TO ONE* *How it can be public then?* *It's not JUST SONG* 😇
Sounds likely. I'd be curious to see a translation of the bandish she composed for Durga. That would go a long way, I think, toward supporting or debunking your hypothesis.

Wonderful talk with articulated examples. Has any one ever sung raag Shuddh Maru (a.k.a. Raaj Kalyan) ? It would be interesting to listen to it if available or musicians like Arunji presents an outline of this raag.
Are they the same? Just asking.. Raj Kalyan comes from Yaman and Bhoop whereas Shuddha Maru develops by omitting Shuddha Ma from Maru Bihag. Raj Kalyan by the very person who discovered it - th-cam.com/video/aZsjueDunnU/w-d-xo.html
