Truly one of the greatest scenes and ending to a perfect movie. This song and the way the movie and those final moments are scored is brilliant and gives me shivers every time. When Keith realizes he loves Watts as she looks at him so vulnerably from the car. That moment!! THAT ENDING!!!!!! “You look good wearing my future” 😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️😭😭😭😭
One of my absolute favorite romantic endings of a film.
I actually came close to it in real life except the friend I fell for chose Amanda Jones. If you end it with Watts walking down the street crying that is what befell me. And not too long ago that it doesn’t still sting. Cheers.

The rising synth pad is pure gold as is this entire dub version, and underscored the iconic scene in the film perfectly.

For those of you in the USA & Canada, this movie has (finally) been released on Blu-Ray. Needless to say, it's the best home-video presentation to date (2K transfer, Dolby TrueHD audio). Not sure if this Blu-Ray is available for the rest of the world though. Cheers.

The producers tried. Director Howard Deutch, the John Hughes, and music producer Stephen Hague lobbied for another pressing but it was too late. An ‘Extended Soundtrack’ exists, but I don’t think it got a vinyl release unfortunately.
That it is prominently featured in the film’s iconic lovely conclusion cements it in not only Rock but Cinema history.
