8 bit sprite marathon

i recorded the screen while i was drawing sprites from famous video games(most of them on the nes or snes) in 8 and 16 bit variants in microsoft paint. it took me a total of nine and a half hours to complete this pixel by pixel^^

lemme just say, this video is extremely nostalgic to me. I used to watch it when I was 6 and it still holds up to this day. I even tried doing this with the same tools. When ever I heard "The Moon" from Ducktales for the NES, I always think of this. :) It's sad that this image is long gone.

It's amazing what you can do with something as simple as MS paint.

Same goes for a pencil and a piece of paper, you don't need unnecessary art programs like Photoshop or Clip studio to make amazing art... something like ms paint, medibang, paintdotnet, and krita are all you need....
The program doesn't make the artist, the artist themselves does..

I know but the SMS has a different palette then NES. NES has 54 usable colors While SMS has 64. Also NES is a 8-bit palette while SMS is a 6-bit. Same with the SGG. SGG is 12-bit and has 4096 colors. Also this marathon is mostly based on Nintendo. I would have liked to see sonic though.
Alxei200 there was a couple of 16-bit sprites in this video, your argument is invalid. MrBenjaminBowman people always exclude sonic in this videos, like, always. why? possible because more people grew up with Nintendo.

and to draw: Microsoft Paint from windows 7 at the highest zoom rate. the pencil then is exactly 1 pixel

I finally checked out this video after years of TH-cam telling me to watch it. It's pretty cool.
I had checked it out like 7 months ago and it's not taken down; I'm watching it right now.
6-7 years, and Part 2 has still never been made... But really, this is 2010. This guy probably isn't even here anymore. The comments were probably a million times more mature and normal that the "Firsts", and the "Who's watching in 2017" crap. Seriously, that's the only things people comment nowdays. I hate it.

I don't think you fully understand the concept of a sprite... A sprite is *literally* any object in a video game which can move. Imagine how stupid it would be to have to draw every bullet, every frame of every object in every video game from that era.
I remember when I was younger and my sister showed me this and I loved it and I still love this now!

Leon Lee Frogger is also famous but it the graphics couldn't match the NES'. Dragon Quest is a good game but not really known by all.
