Ruby’s verse was one of the most vulnerable he’s been where he lets us into his view on just the journey of life, as cliche as it is, but the line where he says “al the things you said you wanted to do but haven’t done EM now u wonder how come they don’t listen whenever you’re talkin....” is a pretty sad depiction of regret thru ones life & the mistakes we make that lead to that. Or last few bars were just a look into how quick life is and all the things you thought might’ve been cool/ what u loved at one point changes at other points of your life when you start to reflect & change your perspective on things.
in "To Those I love", at the end of Scrim's verse, you can hear Ruby yelling because Scrim hit all his notes and Scrim laughing. Which to me is really symbolotic to him leaving behind his old self-destructive heroin habits and becoming happier.
