Duren was really good against the Suns. He’s had some fantastic games this year. The potential for this just-turned-21 year old remain high. But the consistency is certainly frustrating. Patience is needed.
@ In the Pacers and Toronto games he had 4 blocks in both and scored efficiently in very good wins. Had 17 points on 100% shooting and 11 rebounds just the other night. He’s has some very notable games and stretches for sure. Just not nearly as often as we want.
Even if Ivey isn't a future All Star he's already a good quality 6th man. Even slight improvement over the next couple seasons and we have a 30 minute a game backup guard. The idea that we can start two defensive wings who can't nake a three is silly season. Duren is the bad contract waiting to happen. The NBA doesn't value rebounding roll men unless they are elite at defense. Duren has minimal trade value because teams can just sign a better player for less than 10 million

I wouldn't call any game this year fantastic for Duren. But he did have a few games that showed the potential to be a mediocre starter.
