the intermittent pausing to wipe tears while cutting the onions 😭
literally these onions were KILLING ME lol
Love love love your long 40+ minute vlogs and going on the journey with you. I look forward to all your vlogs, they’re my favourite content that you make ❤
I absolutely love circe i rarely here people enjoying both circe and song of Achilles even though song of Achilles is good i much prefer circe 😊
True.
I also prefer Circe but still loved Song of Achilles.
I love both so much, Madeline Miller is top notch 👌🏼
The tail end of Clay saying “it’s like a reward” hahaha
21:50 "its like a reward" lmao
These vlogs bring me so much comfort 🥰
Yayyyy - so glad you’re enjoying Circe. It’s so beautiful
so many of the sweaters you wear in your vlogs look like beautiful hand-knit pieces! i am not sure if knitting as a hobby has ever interested you but i feel like your style already fits perfectly with so many patterns i see folks making lol!
I think this same thought every time I see her wear a sweater!
So happy you loved Circe. One of my favorite books ever. Im obsessed with the audio version too
i picked up hexologist based on your rec! can't wait to read it! also i looooove when you include food/baking clips in your reading vlogs -- they make the videos extra cosy!
these vlogs make me so happy :) truly cozy life goals, y’all are the cutest
Truly you have such good vlogs, they are so comforting to watch. And definitely adding both of these to my “until the end of the year” tbr!
Yayy I'm so glad you're liking The Hexologists! I also did a reading vlog while reading that book, and loved it so much!
You’re truly my comfort TH-camr
Circe is one of my favorites! I have both UK and USA versions! I absolutely loved it!💞
Oooo I'm so excited for The Hexologists!
Loved the Hexologists so much!!!
That brown sweater looks so cozy 👀
Adding The Hexologists to my tbr, it sounds great!
fingers-crossed she watches all the light we cannot see. i rly wanna hear her thoughts!
I'm at 10:51 and cracking up at how the "forbidden coffee" has turned into the mid day pick me up that inspires a little theme song. Same girl - same! 😄
Galatea by Madeline Miller… it’s so short but man, it hits you hard. High suggest this as a short, between 2 books, read.
Atalanta by Jennifer Saint is in a similar vein as Circe (which I loved) with familiar story themes and character tales. Atalanta joins Jason and the Argonauts and the story is told from her vantage point. Although I loved the book Circe more than Atalanta, it's still a decent read especially if you're wanting more of the feminist re-tellings of ancient myths.
The Hexologists looks and sounds intriguing so onto my tbr it goes!
Your videos are such a comfort watch for me 😊
🍵📚💟
Cannot believe you haven’t read Circe yet!! Can’t wait to see how you like it 😊
Circe was great and I want to read The Hexologists.
Need to add the hexologists to the tbr
Okay but the wiping eyes after chopping onion is so real! Hate that so much!
I enjoyed Circe when I read it. Probably liked it better than The Song of Achilles.
The Hexologists sounds really interesting.
Regan you NEED to look into the work of CJ Cooke! She writes the creepiest, most atmospheric stories and I think you’d love them. The Ghost Woods is my favourite but I also rate The Lighthouse Witches
📚❤️
Named my dog after her Circe
I much prefer Circe to Song of Achilles
Regan, I love your videos and I say this with no hate but please. Pronunciation guides exist for a reason.
I liked Circe until she had her son and then I was annoyed for the rest of the novel. not because she had a son, but because everything ended up being about her son and his father and that pissed me off. I think I’m done reading women suffering books. Like look how terrible this woman is treated and then she marries a man or she sacrifices herself for everyone :) (thinking of the witch’s heart too) just annoying that that is what’s being marketed as feminism
Love your content but please on my hands and knees begging you to look up pronunciation of names and other words
