They have made their mark in the Kpop game as youngsters and still rock today. No matter who your favs are in kpop, it is hard to compare ANYONE, to Exo vocals.They are SINGER'S singers, and iconic seasoned performers that have traveled the world and back since 2011. A very successful and highly accomplished singing group that have a very massive worldwide fandom. 11 years of music, all genres, and well loved by many around the world. 💙🌺
Exo were formed under SM Entertainment who, as a company, is known to focus on vocals. On top of that, they are also considered the vocal kings of kpop because, you’re right, every member can sing!! They’ve covered pretty much all genres of music (although most fans really love their RnB sound the most!) and their discography is one of the most solid in the industry! As you watch more videos, you will 100% be confused with the number of members changing because they started as 12 but are now 9 with one inactive member and people coming and going because of the military😅 thanks for checking them out and I hope you enjoy their Killing Voice!
Also, I saw you reacted to New Jeans’ League performance and wanted to say that one of Exo’s main singers Baekhyun (pretty guy in Cream Soda with the light hair and the one doing a lot of adlibs at the end) also performed this year! He’s a member of Heartsteel and is actually also a big League player and so he was super excited for the opportunity, you should definitely also check that out!
SM is known for vocals, great music, fusions, productions and concepts. Dont box them in just vocals plz. People have misunderstood exo and SM for just vocals bcz fans only talk about vocals. When many reactors said that SM has the best music, MVs concepts and vocals. The only problem with SM is they dont all self productions and are strict for lyrics. They dont allow idols to write the group songs that much. For solo yes.

EXO has the strongest vocal line in kpop.
the vocalist whose voice you liked (with the black and white hair in cream soda and reddish hair in love shot) is Baekhyun - he is one of 3 main vocalists of the group. the guy on the first chorus of cream soda is Chen - he is also one of the main vocalists. the third main vocalist is D.O., he is on the bridge of love shot, and in my opinion he is the guy one might not think of as being the main vocalist because the way he sings sounds as if singing is the easiest thing.
however all of the EXO members are good singers, including the rappers. most of them could have become main vocalists if they debuted in a different agency (the 3 members I mentioned above are just too good).
I recommend you "tempo" and "obsession".

wait till you see their live performances and concerts. Out of all the dozens of artists ( Kpop and non-Kpop) that Ive seen live, EXO's concerts are just on another level. The live vocals from start to finish are just insane it may seem too good to be true but IT IS REALLY TRUE. They aren't called the idols of Kpop idols for nothing.

Welcome! I can’t imagine what it’s like to have Cream Soda as your intro to Exo! My intro was hearing Obsession on spotify random shuffle during Covid 19 pandemic hiatus era and getting so sad to learn most of them were in military and there was no news of when there would be a real comeback after DFTF hahahaha. I watched Kai in kpop flex Frankfurt and Cream Soda is my first real comeback, first time to buy any merch and albums, and as a 2 year old EXO-L sometimes I think I finally caught up on the 11 years of content, but there’s so much out there! Our guys really worked hard the past decade. Every week I still see clips/photos on YT or IG that I have never seen before. Happy and excited that we are entering Exo CEO era now. I have 9 biases and D.O. is my ult! Hope they all tour outside of Asia in 2024 😭

Non-musicians (myself included) and most reactors on yt never notice these things on first watch. So many people only notice the high notes and think it’s just one guy singing it… and a lot of people surprisingly can’t even distinguish Chanyeol and Sehun’s rap which to me sounds so different from one another… enjoying this reaction he really has a good ear… hoping for more Exo on this channel!!!

EXO are vocal kings...you are right the same guy started all three songs actually. His name is Baekhyun, and you should definitely check out his solo work.. you will love it. He also was doing a lot of the adlibs that you liked. EXO is a group full of talent.
One thought is that they’re grown men, in their early 30’s (most of them). They bring a swag and sophistication to the “Cream Soda” mv. They’re singing about grown men things 😉. Their solo stuff is incredible. Check out Baekhyun’s “All I Got.” You may not survive.
The Love Shot guy with the sexy vibes is Kai. He is currently in the military (as is Sehun), so his vocals are on Cream Soda, but he is not in the MV. Although a sweet, shy cutie off stage, his presence on stage is insane. If you like the sexy vibe, check out his solo work ( albums MMMMH, Peaches and Rover). He is one of the best dancers in Kpop, many including me think he is THE best, so his choreo is amazing. The voice you like is Baekhyun who is one of the most successful solo artists in Korea (closely followed by his fellow main vocalists, Chen and D.O., and the rest (also amazing vocalists) Suho, Xiumin and Chanyeol. Sehun, one of the rappers, is also a great vocalist and adds so much of the depth and warmth to the harmonies, but he does not yet have much solo work. He does have albums with the other main rapper (the red head in Monster) Chanyeol as the sub-unit EXO-SC. Kai and Baekhyun are also in a super group called SuperM along with other artists from other SM groups.

This group has the absolute best harmonies,as you discovered.. and they have three of the best main vocalists in the Kpop industry….and they have five amazing vocalists in all, with rappers doing an amazing vocal performance. Five are capable of singing to the rafters: the first guy who you were impressed by is Chen, often rated the best vocalist in Kpop. The pretty guy in the pink jacket is one of the other main tvocalists. Then D.O. in the pirate type blouse is the third main vocalist. He does a lot of ad libs. But Suho, the guy who seduced the girl and did a super high note that surprised you, since it was a different guy from the first, is a terrific musical performer. Then Xiumin is the fifth amazing vocalist. He is a vocalist, dancer, and rapper! The two rappers Chanyeol and Sehun are also talented vocalists. Both have the deeper vocals. Sehun is also lead dancer. The main dancer is Kai, who is one of the best in Kpop. He is in the military so wasn’t in crème soda. But he was in that sexy red vest.
I’m glad you enjoyed them. You will probably really enjoy Electric Kiss. Most reactors who are new to EXO have been gobsmacked by it. The mv is short, but the dance practice lets you really get a good look at their abilities.

Exo main vocal line are acclaimed top 3 male vocalists in kpop all time. Other members are also very competent vocalists some can even be considered as main vocalists in other groups. Their talent is really insane
Thank you for giving EXO a chance! And as you said, they are really really talented at vocal side. They are obviously one of the vocal kings in K-Pop and they are also the best vocal group in 3rd generation of K-Pop (no doubt), BTOB came close to EXO in terms of vocal but EXO's Main Vocalists are still better overall. Everyone in this group can sing but their Main Vocalists (Chen, DO, and Baekhyun) are on another level. And Yes you MUST react to EXO - Killing Voice, they really stood out in Live vocal performances. EXO even won the category of 'Best Vocal Performance' of 2023 by Genius Korea. In order to understand the story in EXO's "Monster" MV, as well as all of EXO's content, you have to know that it's all connected, and every new piece that's introduced explains a little more of EXO's story. Each MV is like another chapter in SM Entertainment's SM Culture Universe storyline and it's all part of a larger story that also includes the majority of SM's other groups' and artists' storylines. It's like a giant graphic novel or mystery movie series.
Everything EXO is involved in, and I literally mean almost everything -- including all of their MVs, the majority of their sub-sub-unit MVs and members' solo MVs, teaser videos, concert stages, concert VCRs (videos played in between sets at concerts) and choreography, as well as special content included with their albums, etc. -- is designed to help tell a little more of EXO's story.
EXO debuted back in 2012, and from the very beginning their concept is that they are aliens from Planet Exo who have come to Earth with superpowers to protect the Tree of Life from the Red Forces. And as otherworldly beings, each of the members has a superpower that is unique to them. "Monster" was released in 2016, so there are 9 members in this MV.
As the English lines in "Monster" say ... They're "Creeping, Creeping Creeping .... Creeping in your heart babe" "You can call me Monster (because) I'm creeping in your heart babe." "She got me goin' crazy." The song's called "Monster," so the words are about acting like a monster: "Don't be afraid, love is the way ... I'm sorry, you make me sooo craaaazzzy, you know you dooooo."
Therefore, the floating watch and the car that is on fire in reverse, etc., I think -- on top of being a metaphor in the story -- also was supposed to be the members using their superpowers. And the snake, like a monster, mirrors the beat of the song, which kind of slithers like a snake as a metaphor for the way the guy slithers in and out of the relationship stealing warmth and affection from the girl, but in the end, leaving her cold and alone like a cold-blooded snake, etc. The snake is also red, which means that it most likely represents something to do with the Red Force.
However, if you look up the English translation of the lyrics, you will see in the song, the members are talking about a girl and they are telling the girl that "You can call me Monster" because I know I am bad for you and I will ruin you. I know that when we are over that I will have destroyed everything that is good about you, but I don't care because I want you so much that it doesn't matter to me. Which could be a metaphor for EXO's connection to the heart of the Tree of Life.
The woman in EXO's songs is often thought to be a metaphor and physical representation of the Tree of Life. That is why the members are always trying to save the girl or protect her, or they talk about being controlled by the power of the woman or they are worried about their passion destroying her, etc. It's EXO's job to protect the Tree of Life from the Red Force. EXO was sent to Earth on a mission to find the two halves of the tree and reunite them in order to restore peace in the world. The two halves of the tree -- EXO-K (Korean) represents one half and EXO-M (Mandarin Chinese) represents the other half -- were originally separated in order to keep the Red Force from gaining control. However, now, in order to fix all the things that are going wrong in the world, EXO needs to defeat the Red Force and find where the two halves of the tree have been hidden.
Therefore, the story in "Monster" is all about EXO's origin story and about how they are trying to stop the Red Force from corrupting humanity, while also trying to find clues to where the Tree of Life is located.
Also, the majority of the choreography for "Monster" has to do with the members using their powers, so when/if you watch the dance practice and/or a live performance, if you know what you are looking for, you will see that each move is done for a very specific reason. The X they make to represent EXO is only the beginning of the story in their choreography.
For example, D.O. has the power of super strength, so during his part in the song and choreography you will see that he waves his hands and the other members are pushed away from him or pulled toward him. When you see Suho in the middle of the group and they have a hold of his arms, he rotates his body around like swirling water because Suho has the power to control water. Xiumin has the power to control snow/ice/frost, so during one part of the choreography you will see that each of the members pause as if frozen as he moves in front of them. You see Kai slide backward and forward into the center of the group while waving his arms to represent him teleporting. And when Chanyeol jumps over Lay, Sehun and Xiumin, this could be him using his phoenix fire wings to fly, or it could be showing him leaping over flames because his power is the ability to control fire. Sehun has the power to control wind, so during his parts, you will see the other members shuffle around him as if they are creating a windstorm. And when they sit on the ground with their one knee in the air and rotate their bodies, it's supposed to represent a sundial -- EXO gets their power from the eclipse and their powers are affected by planetary and solar phenomenon, so the sundial is meant to represent the passing of time and their connection to the sun. (Even some of EXO's comebacks were released on days when we had a real eclipse or other planetary phenomenon, etc.)
You should also make note that "Lotto" is a prequel to "Monster," so when you watch their "Lotto" MV, just keep in mind that what you saw happen in "Monster" is what is going to take place after or in conjunction with the events in "Lotto".
How "Monster" and "Lotto" tie into EXOs larger storyline is a little open ended, but because "Lotto" is thought to be the prequel to "Monster," I think the story starts out in "Lotto" where the members have somehow infiltrated this big gambling ring and are undercover as they work to uncover a clue or something they need in order to accomplish their tasks here on Earth. I think the underground gambling establishment is run by a gang of bad guys who are probably members of the Red Force.
"Lotto" is where we are introduced to a girl who is being held captive. And ultimately, I think what EXO are trying to do is rescue the girl from the Red Force, but they are trying to do it without blowing their cover or being found out. So, that's why you see in "Lotto," and continued in "Monster," the members are fighting against the police because the police have come in to take down the gambling ring and rescue the girl, which is also what EXO are trying to do. However, the members of EXO don't want to be discovered, so they play along as if they are part of the bad guys. EXO are supposed to be going about their tasks here on Earth incognito, and humanity is never supposed to find out about EXO, so they are trying to keep a low profile.
As we see in the end of "Monster," Baekhyun disguises himself as one of the police and helps the other members escape from the back of the police van before they are taken to jail and/or captured by the Red Force, etc. (However, if you look closely, the members who are in the back of the police van are dressed in red, so the ones who Baekhyun rescued may be X-EXO -- EXO's alter ego clones -- and not EXO like we originally thought. Although I'm not sure whether at this point Baekhyun realizes these aren't the EXO members. Or maybe Baekhyun is also a member of X-EXO. Just another giant mystery we have yet to solve.)
You also see Lay, EXO's Chinese member, crouched in the middle of what looks like a pile of people -- I'm not sure whether these are the FBI agents, or if these are members of the Red Force -- and I think he is checking to make sure they are OK and possibly trying to use his power of healing to fix things and heal the injured.
Because some theories believe that EXO are traveling between time periods and dimensions, I think in "Monster" they also might be showing how some of the members are arriving on scene at different moments in the timeline of events that are taking place in the MV -- the members don't necessarily arrive at the location together -- as explained in their Pathcode teaser videos leading up to their "Call Me Baby" comeback. For instance, in "Monster" you also see Kai standing on or near a giant pile of people, and he seems to be standing over them. Some have pointed to this as possibly showing evil X-EXO Kai, who has done something bad, but I think this may be showing good EXO Kai, who has just shown up at that moment, observing what has taken place. Because Kai has the power of teleportation, he is the one that is in charge of bringing the members together and traveling between time and space, so I think he has shown up from a different time or place and is now trying to figure out what has happened, etc.
In EXO's "Obsession" MV the members in the bright colored clothing with the crazy makeup and hair are supposed to be X-EXO -- EXO's alter ego clones who have been created by the Red Force -- and the ones in the black or dark colored clothing are supposed to be EXO -- the good guys. So, in the parts where they are dressed in all black in "Monster" I think this is showing EXO, and where you see them in the clothing with red accents, this might by showing X-EXO. At the time when "Monster" was first released, we had no idea about X-EXO's existence, but since "Obsession" -- which is one of EXO's more recent releases -- we have started to go back and reanalyze some of their older MVs, and it appears that what we thought was always EXO, may have been in fact X-EXO some of the time.
Exo is currently 8, but 2 is in the military right now and will be out in 2025. If you like seductive vibes you really should check out KAI (the red suit guy in love shot)'s solo stuff

As with most of EXO's songs and MVs -- such as "Love Shot" -- the song and the story in the MV are two separate things. There are two messages that the story tells in the MV. Yes, the story in the MV is loosely based on the lyrics of the song, but the main point of the MV is mostly to tell another part of EXO's story.
There are 8 members in "Love Shot." Lay, their Chinese member, was not able to participate in this MV.
In "Love Shot" I'm not sure why EXO first ended up at the gas/service station or the cinema/movie theater, but the story in this MV is all about how the Red Force is trying to corrupt and control them. For example, supposedly, most fans agree that Xiumin may have been captured by the Red Force -- or maybe it's his X-EXO clone. If you notice, Xiumin is squaring off with a group of guys with guns, but a few seconds later we see someone with a mask and when the mask is removed you see that it's Xiumin, which seems to show that he may not be who we think he is. (We also see Xiumin talking to or listening to someone or something on a red phone.)
And when Chen is sitting in the theater watching the film, we see what fans agree is Suho, as the leader, probably trying to protect the members and prevent Chen from watching the film by covering his eyes. Whatever is being played on the movie screen is thought to probably be the Red Force trying to control EXO. (Which is now thought to also be connected to the fact that we see Chen and Xiumin in the theater in EXO's new "Let Me In" MV.)
You also will see references to the movie screen with Chen being projected on the screen in their "Lucky One" MV and the scene where Suho is running through the forest in their "For Life" MV, etc. These instances seem to be showing times when the Red Force are using the videos to brainwash EXO to keep them incapacitated so they don't try to fight back or escape, etc.
In "Love Shot," one theory is that the members are fighting to discover who has been corrupted by the Red Force and who may not be who they say they are, etc., which I see as a sort of continuation of the story in their "Tempo" MV. This is why you see them being very suspicious pointing their guns -- which are filled with alcohol -- at each other. (Get it? The song is called "Love Shot" so it has a double meaning: Love Shot like a gun and Love Shot like a shot of alcohol. :D)
We also see a glass cube with a red liquid inside, which seems to be part of a theme that connects across all of EXO's storyline. You will see asimilar cube in several of EXO's other MVs.
The flowers have two purposes, one is they represent Love and EXO is collecting love, but also the flowers are a big part of EXO's storyline. There has been a flower theme that continues throughout all of EXO's MVs. The flowers are thought to be something that EXO is collecting and trying to get rid of to prevent the Red Force from being able to control people, etc. They often collect the flowers and then burn them, like we see in "Love Shot" and you will see in EXO-CBX's "Hey Mama" MV. Blue roses also have some sort of significance, but I am not sure what yet -- we see EXO with a blue rose in their concert performances of "Lightsaber" and we see Sehun with a blue rose in "Love Shot." Some of what happens in this story is explained by past MVs and other parts will hopefully be explained as the story continues in future MVs.
Money is the root of all evil, and people's obsession with material goods and wealth could be one of the ways the Red Force is using to control humanity. Which is why we see EXO trying to take down the gambling ring in their "Monster" and "Lotto" MVs and why they talk about money in EXO-CBX's Japanese song "Ka-Ching," etc. They also burn the giant stack of money in "Monster"/"Lotto." It's not an isolated incident, so that's why we see them burning money in "Love Shot" as well. It's obviously a significant thing within EXO's storyline.
We also see that everything in the MV was taking place during an eclipse. The eclipse is what controls EXO's powers and it's where they get their power and strength from. So, that is why you see in most of their MVs that they focus on the moon or show an eclipse taking place, etc. However, you should make note in "Love Shot" it's not a regular eclipse. We see two moons covering the sun. Which, in the introduction narration in the beginning of their debut "Mama" MV, they point out how EXO comes from a "planet" with two suns. Each sun is part of a parallel universe that is alike and yet different. Therefore, this could be an indication that they aren't on Earth in this MV, or they may be trapped within another dimension. And if they are still trapped within the Red Force's maze, the Red Force could have them in a dream-like state and some of what we see happening could be happening within their minds.
Baekhyun is actually one of the main characters in EXO's storyline, so he is often set apart or singled out in EXO's MVs. He is often the one that stands alone or is highlighted in the story. For example, in their "Power" MV Baekhyun is sort of separated from the other members, which seems to suggest maybe Baekhyun is the only member that hasn't been corrupted by the Red Force. So that is thought to be why in "Tempo" and in "Love Shot" we see Baekhyun standing on top of the building looking down on the rest of the members, almost as if he is observing them from another dimension or from another time period. Baekhyun is often the one who is going behind the sense to help EXO. For example, as we see him disguised as a member of the police as he rescues the other members from the back of the police van in "Monster", and we see Baekhyun facing off with and confronting Xiumin in "Love Shot." :D
We also see scenes in "Love Shot" where the members are sometimes dressed in all black leather and other scenes where we see them dressed in red and black leather, which look very similar to the outfits they were wearing in "Monster."
And now that we have discovered that the Red Force has created X-EXO, EXO's evil clones, as part of EXO's "Obsession" MV story, I am also starting to think that maybe in "Love Shot" we aren't just seeing EXO. I think maybe when we see the members dressed in bright colors -- for example, when they are in their suits -- this might be X-EXO and when we see the scenes where they are in black, this could be EXO. Because in "Obsession" we find out that the members in all black are EXO the good guys, and when we see them in the colorful outfits with the crazy hair and makeup that is X-EXO.
This could also explain why Kai is dressed in a red suit. Although I am sure their stylists put him in red because he looks really good in it, I think SM chose it because it's another hidden message within the storyline. Usually, whenever we see red in EXO's MVs this has something to do with the Red Force, so for a long time I have been wondering why then would they put Kai in a red suit? However, now that we know about the X-EXO members, I am starting to think that when we see the members in their colorful suits and clothing in "Love Shot" this is actually the X-EXO members. Therefore, Kai in the red suit could be under the control of the Red Force, as well as the other members when we see them in suits, etc.
I also think maybe the members who are collecting all the flowers in "Love Shot" are really X-EXO, as part of some evil plot. If we look at the members' expressions and the outfits they are wearing in the scenes where we see them collecting the flowers, this reminds me a lot of what they looked like in their "Ko Ko Bop" MV.
Since "Obsession," theories now think that what the "Ko Ko Bop" MV was showing us was X-EXO right after they were created as they are becoming acclimated to the world and learning how to use their powers, etc. Which would explain why everything in the "Ko Ko Bop" MV is so brightly colored as well.
But you should also know that no one really knows for sure what is happening in any of EXO's MVs. There are well known theories and storylines that are accepted within the fandom, which we think might explain what is happening in each MV. And there are theories about how each MV is connected and where each falls within their larger storyline, but nothing is set in stone. Fan theories are constantly evolving and changing with every introduction of a new piece of the puzzle.

and the red suit guy in center of Love Shot is Kai, the main dancer. He is doing his mandatory service during the release of Cream Soda. He is still considered one of the best dancers of K-pop (He was considered THE BEST DANCER of 3rd generation for quite some time).

Thank you for reacting to EXO! many new fans that entered the K-Pop scene late because of new bands don't know the ICON that is this group. I grew up with their music when i was a teenager and i remember back then EVERYONE in Korea and on the inernational k-fans scene was an EXO-L. They were called "Nation's Idols" for a reason. They are also known as the best vocal group among all active idols. Their discography is diverse in genre and concepts (mostly r'n'b though) AND YES YOU NOTICED IT!!! They have their own genre they developed with the producer duo called LDN NOISE and they called it EXO GROOVE. Many producers that worked with them still fanboy how nice and talented they are!!! They're the perfect group tbh. Sadly many new fans don't discover them but us older fans still know the golden time of K-Pop when EXO won consecutive awards because of their immense talents.
