literally just got an octopre mk2 for this exact setup like a week ago for my first paid gig album recording session people online love to shit on that behringer saying the internal preamps suck, i'm wondering if you think that's valid? would my octopre that i got for the same price even be any better?
When Wil runs this setup with his Apollo 8, he uses the pre's on a Focusrite ISA 828 and the A/D to ADAT via the Behringer to the Apollo. Our B Room/Alt Control room is current running on a octo pre -adat situation oftentimes into a Twin with great results. - Matt at The Greaze Factory
@@greazywil does he run the focusrite ISA outs to the line inputs to bypass the behringer preamps? otherwise it would still get the behringer preamps right?
There are a lot of forums saying de ADA8200 is meh and instead save more and buy an Audient or Evo or even Clarett+, what’s your take on this? Is it really that bad?
the pre's leave a little to be desired but for the money its a great value. On our main rig, we only use the 8200 for AD conversion and ADAT. Using the line outs from our focusrite isa 828 into the 8200 bypassing the pres
This is exactly what I needed! Thank you, Greazy
For the past few years Ive brainstormed to oblivion. You are amazing greazy! Thank you!
Thanks for this, man. I'm happy to pull more out of my Apollo Twin.
I did this but used an old m-audio firewire interface that i had laying around. works great!
That's brilliant. Why don't the geniuses at Sweetwater know this?
perfect!!! thanks bro.
Bro thank you so much
Thank you
I ended up doing it with a scarlett focusrite 18i20.
Can the Apollo Twin do more than eight channels ADAT or using another way in?

Hi, question, and in the Logic ? Which inputs ? Thanks 👍👍
Should this work on all devices that have ADAT (I.e. Saffire Pro 40) which Is a pretty old interface, does that matter?
@@messier420 yea adat is adat
its that possible add another ada8200 like a slave and then got 16 channels ?
I got a similar neck tattoo
It’s not working for me and I’m not even getting any signal in the console. Any suggestions?
