@@Skittleshunter64 they’re really not. The problem isn’t the form of connectivity, it’s the sensor. Doesn’t matter whether it’s Bluetooth, USB, or some proprietary dongle-requiring wireless mouse, if it has a cheap sensor, it can’t track fast movement.
@@michaelbarker4541 While true, his point still stands. With cheaper mouses the way to kinda bypass the sensors is by playing with higher sensitivity. The wireless mouse on the other hand, especially non gaming, adds massive delay.
The real master move would be getting a $10 mouse and using a piece of cardboard as a mousepad

Alright, took the time to watch the rest of the vid. This genuinely is the type of stuff I used to use as a kid. Single cupped headset which was very brittle and uncomfortable, 4:3 intel monitor, cheap keyboard, a mouse that seemingly had no insight on what sensitivity was (it just kinda did it's own thing and went wherever it felt like even if your movement was consistent or not), a thick mousepad that made it even harder to move the chunky mouse in the first place, a wooden dining table chair along with the table itself, and to top it all off: an ancient pc with 2 CPU cores and a graphics card that was at least capable of running old games like San Andreas and Half-Life 2 on high settings. But at the time, I couldn't even complain. I was just happy to have a computer.

Played on a notebook for yeaaaaars in a cheap mouse from genius and an old school book as my pad. Max fps i got was like 40 and couldnt play train or cbbl because it lagged too much lmao

@@jojivlogs_4255 eh 60hz and easily making it up to around faceit 6 level (which is roughly global in mm iirc.) The main problem is once you get to above that kind of level almost everyone is on better setup than you so I really need to upgrade my setup so I can actually keep improving with my aim, probably getting a 144hz soon once I have built my pc.
The thing with cheaper mice is that, while you can be confident the sensor isn't going to be good, there is NO way to tell exactly how bad it is going to be. I've played CS on a lowest-tier no brand Chinese mouse for years; its sensor certainly had something wrong with it, but it was so minor that I couldn't explain it beyond "it just felt wrong after moving to a Logitech mouse". The 'more premium' off-brand mouse that I've tried sometime before moving to Logitech, however, had a horrible sensor that made me immediately go back to my half-destroyed Chinese mouse until I could afford something decent.
If you're low on budget, just get a G203. Its sensor is as good as anybody would need it to be. There is no need to be limiting yourself with something as crucial as the damn mouse.
Order of importance for peripherals for shooters goes
1. Mouse
2. Display
3. Headphones
4. Chair (move to priority 3 if playing more than 3 hours a day)
5. Keyboard.
Mayes, mouse is more important than diplay. But only to a point. The difference between a 5 and 25 dollar mouse is HUGE. it's the most important cuz it matter so much AND getting a decent one is still cheap
@@ayoo_wassup Totally agree for the most part, but I have to disagree with the chair being more important than the keyboard! :D A horrible chair sucks, but a horrible keyboard will also be inconsistent and may possibly impact your movement for the worse if it is inconsistent enough.

g203 is garbage. its sensor is no different from a 10$ office logitech. buy literally any used base model razer and it WILL have a superior sensor. Both my g502 and clapped out razer abysus obliterate all the peasant model """gaming""" (only branded so) mice both in minimal detectable movement, low noise perception of movement and highest detectable speed. Prices of used gaming mice are so low these days there is no excuse to use boxed up e-waste with a warranty. Worst case just buy a complete board of a proper mouse for 10-20$ and force it to fit into any enclosure.

I've been using it for years now, and I remember several technical reviews of the mouse praising it and claiming it was practically no worse than the way more premium options. I was also a Faceit Level 10 when I used to actively play CSGO, and my mouse never felt like a bottleneck. Trying other mice at a café once didn't prove me wrong either. Though I 'suppose' long-term use of another mouse could prove me wrong.
You could definitely get a very usable setup for less than $100 if you do a few things differently.
1. Get a 60hz monitor. 60hz is the standard in the non-gaming world, meaning there are a lot more of them and the used ones are much cheaper. If you are willing to get one with some small scratches or a used one you can get one for ~$30. A good monitor matters but should not be a priority in a budget setup.
2. Get a wired mouse. At low price points the wired ones are significantly higher quality. You can get a totally usable wired mouse for ~$10.
3. A mouse pad is not strictly necessary. Depending on the type of mouse and what kind of desk/table you have you get you might be able to just use your desk surface. If not you can use cardboard, a book, a plank of wood. I used a cutting board that I got for free as a mouse pad for a few years back in college.
4. Headsets start getting usable at about the ~$15 range. The really cheap ones have such low fidelity that you might as well just play on mute.
5. Any keyboard will do. Mechanical keyboards are really nice if you do a lot of typing. But I notice very little difference when gaming between a $10 membrane one and a $100 mechanical one, especially in games like counterstrike that are not very movement intensive.
6. Any chair will do. Just get one for free from the side of the road. If you cant, the steel folding chair you got is the best budget option.
$30 monitor + $10 mouse + $15 headset + $10 keyboard + $10 chair = $75
yeah like... the latency from a high refresh rate monitor is probably the most impactful thing to splurge on, but its still a luxury. you can still play the game just fine with a dozen or so more milliseconds of latency.
It isn't hard to find a bunch of free "old" office gear from local businesses, especially offices. I picked up a ~2010 dell monitor for free from my workplace that was being thrown away for no reason.
@@turmspitzewerk honestly once you have a mouse that actually works monitor refresh rate is the next thing to spend money on. 60Hz is AWFUL. But also it doesn't make a lot of sense to talk about this stuff without the context of your whole computer tbh.
144mhz monitor is more commonly for gaming than other daily needs or even graphic works. So I say that is a luxury too. But for a gaming mouse, anything mid-range can do just nice, just avoid the wireless, latency sucks.
@@arrowghost wireless mouse latency actually hasn't been significant for the better part of a decade. plenty of pros use wireless. but bluetooth specifically is just a horribly inefficient form of transmission, i can't even imagine how much that dinky 3$ thing is struggling with it. i'll always hate how we ended up being forced to use bluetooth headphones when they compress audio so much.
This is pretty much exactly what I used to play on, a bit nicer but not much more expensive. Those were the days.

my parents got my mouse for me 15 years ago for 1 dollar, it's really small but has awesome ergonomics, it obviously has a shitty sensor but i got so absurdly used to extremely high sensitivities to compensate for that even tough i have experienced 100$ mouse i still didn't find them immediately nicer
since then i've taken it to the technical just 1 time for revision because of dust in the usb port, but that was all, it works just as fine as it did the day i first used it
i honestly think anyone can get used to any mouse no matter how bad it is, mine took some good 1 year

Don't be disheartened. The *vast* majority of people game at 60 fps, even, for better or worse, fighting game competitions where people are reacting lightning fast are typically capped at 60.
I love WarOwl but he's a super wealthy first world PC player who makes a living playing a hyper competitive FPS. When he says, "at least 120hz monitor for gaming" that's like Eddie Hall saying you need "at least 100 lbs dumbells to workout."
That keyboard looks like something you could snap in half after a tilting round.

I have a bunch of damaged 360 controllers with stick drift that are no longer usable and i plan to use thoose as decoys to not destroy my one good controller XD. I don't rage often, but if i have to i have a way to do it without wasting over 20 bucks

The cheap keyboard is pretty adequate, but a decent mechanical one can be gotten for around $40. A razer deathadder v2 can be gotten for under $40 (I scored one for $30 on discount), a good size mousepad can be gotten for around $20, and a 144hz monitor can be $140. You can easily put together a really solid setup for under $250.
144hz for 140$ bought mine iiyama 144 hz monitor for 60€
When the video went live I could find the deathavver v2 mini for as low as 25€, and that isn't the only good sub-40 mouse around.
I've seen children's toys that inspire more confidence than these peripherals.

I've always said that if you're not playing a game that particularly requires it, you don't need a gaming keyboard, you can get away with playing on an office keyboard as long as it can take multiple button input (some keyboads don't let you press more than 2 buttons that are close to each others for example) tho there are definitely some hardware that you WILL need to upgrade if you wanna get super competitive in any game.
This is why I still have my office keyboard with faded keys and one even split in half because of my nail sliding on it due to the hand being angled: it works, it doesn't screw me with not letting me press something like W, A and E at the same time, and that's all I feel I need from a keyboard besides an actual different placement of keys in a way that I can equally stretch my fingers instead of having the middle one stretched and the ring one bent, but that's more of a "keyboard layouts were designed to type, not game" problem. Also apparently there are mice you use with your hand perpendicular to the table as if it was some kind of flight sim joystick and I am really curious about that shit. Hell, playing on something similar to a Wii control is probably great, where you just hold both things in your hands comfortably and they somehow get made with enough buttons to actually provide you with something of quality for any game.

agreed, it all depends on the game. In some games an office keyboard will work fine but in games where input timing is important you will need more than 125hz polling rate on your keyboard at some point to improve further.

I think this reminds a lot of us of some of the early days of gaming where we just got our first pc that could run CS at 60 frames “maybe,” grabbed our biggest book from our classes in school as a mouse pad (history of civ books are always massive.) Had some cheap mouse that was going to be thrown away from a library computer and our earbuds from Walmart. Hop online with the bois and just have a good time.
I actually had a cheap mouse where the sensors in the mouse couldn't detect flicks. Mice is something to not cheap out on as it is crucial part of gaming.

@@thatcooldudeisawesome876 As someone who climed to the top using a $5 mouse and keyboard, $30 headset and no mousepad, the most important things to upgrade are your monitor followed by a comfortable mouse. A good headset is a solid 3rd or 4th priority for me, the thing that mattered the least to me was the keyboard, a good keyboard definitely helps dramatically but everything else helped a lot more.

The mouse is definitely the most important. There are brands like a4tech that specialize in cheap but usable ones, but you could also search by sensor name.
Desk pads can be pretty damn cheap.
You can overclock some monitors' refresh rates - I have a 60hz benq that just works at 80hz with literally 0 issues. Especially if you're using a lower than native resolution.
For headphones, I recommend Panasonic Ergofit hje-120's. They're 7 bucks sound better than some $100 earbuds I've used, and refuse to fail on me unlike every other kind of earbud I've owned.
I recently found the Sharkoon light² 100 and light² 180, which use the PMW 3325 and PMW 3360 respectively. And the PMW 3360 is the same sensor Zowie uses in their mice. And while they aren't the G Pro X Wireless or Deathadder, they are still among the most used mice for CS, so the sensor and shape have to be good for it.
I've actually thought about getting one just to see how much of the sensor is lost by having it in a cheap mouse.

Really fun idea. I wonder how much you could minimize the monitor so you had enough leftover cash to get a somewhat usable mouse. I bet a 1280:1024 60hz monitor with a better mouse beats a bad mouse with a 75hz screen
I rolled my eyes when he said that 120hz is a must. That has barely any difference when comparing to how impactful a good mouse is. All the good monitor does is shave off a few ms of latency, most of the time you won't even notice it, while the mouse controls basically your whole game in a FPS.
if you prefer low input delay over refreshrate (ideally you have both of course), a 60hz super low input delay screen (for example a CRT or specific models that specialise in that) will also easily beat a very cheap 144hz panel when you run them both at very high framerates (with massive amounts of tearing).
I tried quite a few mid range 144hz panels at 1000fps as a comparison, my low latency 60hz panel felt better regardless cuz mouse inputs just feel more direct.
I agree more Hz is better then less, but if i would have to choose between high end 1337 Hz monitor + low end mouse and low end 60hz monitor+ good mouse i would take option with good mouse any time. What's the point of the 240hz monitor if u cant put your crosshair on the enemy head and shoot him? With good mouse i was able to hit enemy crossing doors on mid on DD2 with sniper rifle, with low end mouse it could happend only if i'm lucky.

The monitor can impact for sure but its not as critical. I think the mouse and pad are the two most important parts for gaming and you can live with a basic but functional keyboard.

I've been using the same office keyboard for my home PC for... Holy crap. I have no idea. 15 years? Maybe even 20. If you find a keyboard that just functions on a basic level, you're set. The mouse though... wow that matters. You can get great ones for not that much, but definitely not for under 5 bucks.

I've been in this game since the first ever beta in the 90's, gaming at my local comic book shop that had PCs with CS_Mansion. Anyone remember mansion? How about Siege? I miss them all but if you build it... They will come.
My favorite budget option for a mousepad is a Magic the Gathering playmat. I got like 5 cheap playmats on clearance a long time ago for $3-5 each. They're all basically big mousepads, and have the benefit of looking good too. Best part about them being so cheap is when one gets dirty, I already have a spare clean one to swap in immediately.

I do have a very premium setup myself, but I literally started playing on a crappy windows 98 Computer. 60 fps were a luxury to me.
I upgraded my entire setup last year just to have "high end" gear once in my lifetime. It was always a bit of a dream to me. However, once you get useable gear, any upgrade doesn't matter all that much and you have massively diminishing returns.
I have a Logitech G203, they’re like £15-20 in the UK and it feels like the best budget tier mouse. I’ve had fancier mice like the Razer Viper, G502, Zowie S1 and EC2A but alway find myself coming back to the G203, it’s perfect as far as I can tell

I have had many gaming mouses as well (2x Ms Intellimouse 1.1a/WMO, 2x Logitech Mx518, Steelseries XAI). And a G203 lately too.
I play with a mixture of claw grip and palm grip.
The G203 or G102 (as branded at other markets), was surprisingly good, if I consider the sensor. Maybe the 518's cable was a bit broken before
the swap, but I have found the G203 insanely accurate. With snipers, at the first try I have felt being unstoppable.
But the buttons' quality on the G203 was another story for me. The left click was significantly softer, required so little force even at it's new condition,
that it have lead to tons of missclicks. And as I have used it for other repetitive grinding complex office-like tasks these unwanted left clicks were annoying.
The two side buttons of the G203 were painfully hard for me. Pressing them interfered with my aiming, so at best, I have used one of them for
pulling a smoke grenade, and another for pulling a heg or a flash. No serious move like jumping while pressing those side buttons.
Also the mouse wheel of the G203 had so long clicks (required a lot of scrolling to click once), that it was hard for me to use it for jumping
or weapon switching. It added a considerable delay in case of movement and weapon switching.
It was fairly durable, but in 3-4 years 1 of the side buttons started double clicking, and the Mouse1/LMB also started to do double clicks.
Maybe with replacing all of the microswithces it could be refurbished.
All in all, G203, nice modern day performant sensor, but subpar buttons quality for an elite company's name. My rating for it is 7/10.
Maybe I had tapped into an example with not so good buttons.
But this is a tendency nowadays. A lot of hype around gaming and phones etc, and that leads to the companies being ever greedy.
My rating for my former mouses:
Microsoft Intellimouse 1.1a/WMO: 9/10
By then gaming was much less of a hypetrain thing. It was actually cheap by then, and used by many pros for even more than a decade.
Imo the Intellimouse/WMO have not ever let me down in case of a flick.
Nice soft side buttons. Only problem is the casing, which is not as grippy as some modern mouse's. Great durability if you were gentle with its cord.
400 dpi, but since then I know, "pixel skipping" is a myth of misleaded tryhards. An 1cm x 1cm area on a 23" fullHD screen largely consists
37.7*37.7 = 1421 pixels. There is a lot to miss there, so here are my croco tears for missing 1. At targets in the distance it is obviously less, but
genereally hitting or missing depends on so many other factors. One is a good aimer or not, and there are many players who will not ever get good.
I have seen so many worse sensors with high dpis compared to the Intellimouse's, haha. I would happily choose and use it time after time.
Mx518: 9/10
This legend is known by most, and not really needs introduction. It was a bit heavy and big for me, despite of it I have used it for long.
The quality of the cord is similar to that of the Intellimouse (would be better with a braided/cloth cord). The grip is nice, almost modern day.
The build quality and durability is nice as well. The price was higher than the 1.1a's price.
Steelseries XAI: 8/10
I have not used it so long because of the aforementioned low LOD, what not fitted my style. My mother used it for a while, and when
one of the buttons started to do doubleclicks, I shelved it. The build quality is nice, and the side buttons are comfortably soft.
Input lag feels low, and the mwheel feels nice. The sensor is also better than good, apart from the low LOD.
The grip is rubber-like, a bit better than in case of old school mouses, but it could be better, it gets slipprery because of sweating at intense gaming.
The mouse cord is braided, what is nice imo. Braided cords were better and more durable for me in case of headphones and mouses yet.
Currently I have a long braided headphone extension cable bought from China, for 1-2 USD. By now it survived 4 years of everyday usage, utterly
amazing.
So now the G203 rests in peace, luckily I have found an old Steelseries XAI, what I have not liked back in its days, because its low lift off distance
seriously interfered with my playing style evolved on optical mouses (XAI is an early laser mouse).
I have used to slap the optical ones around (this is why I do not like the classic Razers' shape, they are prone to roll over in my hands),
and counted on having some kind of accuracy while lifting, and putting it down. It was provided by the optical ones, but not the early low LOD laser ones.
Only 1 button is broken on the XAI (out of a lot), it's driver still does its job on Win10, although with some occasional crashing (not interferes with the mouse's usability).
So I consider refurbishing it with microswithces instead of refurbishing the G203. The XAI just has so much smoothness in the side buttons, and so
fine build quality.
You can overclock that monitor to like 100hz in the nvidia control panel by creating a custom resolution, just go up by 1hz at a time until the monitor crashes then wait 20 secs for it to revert changes and then youll know how high yours can go, sometimes they dont overclock very well but sometimes you win the lottery with those cheap spectre monitors.

I think it's awesome that (in my opinion) the greatest competitive shooter is so easy to run that you can get everything you need to play at 120fps 120hz for like a 1000$. PC and peripherals. I think that would make for a great video as well.
For 1k you can get yourself a 144hz setup, for 750 you can get a 120

@@ejpdchsbmkijley i mean, i technically paid 350 for my setup but i don't expect everyone to find an RX580 8Gb for 35 bucks like i did. Being patient will pay off, but it will also come with risks. I love my current PC, but i also can't wait to swap CPU, RAM and GPU because memory is overall unstable and inpredictable even without OC, and my CPU just freaks out if i underclock (wich is also inconvenient as my i5 7600k is outdated anyways). I can't not recommend buyng as much new as possible given how beaten my hardware is, wich i know it's nowhere near the worst there is. A slower but stable PC is a better pc than one that crashes if you generate too many particle FX because the card shits the bed, or that has random fatal RAM corruptions while running that force you to restart it in inconsistent and inconvenient moments. I reinstalled Valorant 5 times before it would run correctly (no exageration) and my PC crashed a week ago mid forza update and forced me to completeley reinstall the whole 200GB of game and DLC. Technically i just got unlucky, but you can just get a refund when things are new.

It would be worth breaking down the major factors per peripheral that determine whether it is viable or not, like the polling rate for the mouse.

Back in 2000-2005 times, all LANs had an IBM black mouse 800 dpi that cost 2 dollars. Later MS bought the model and it was replaced by the very same mouse branded MS. Very good mouse....
as for the $4 headphones, i've been in the audio community for a little while now, and ultrabudget earphones have gotten crazy good. I've heard very good things about the 7hz Salnotes Zero, which is 20$.

I used to have this exact mouse issue when I started. It was the strangest thing - had to teach myself to flick at the exact maximum speed I could go without getting "mouse slip"...the number of teammates I'd have who'd yell at me for not flicking fast was insane. Very stressful haha
I litterally use that exact budget keyboard, I had a razer keyboard but hated the clicking sounds so I sold it too a friend.

It's true, there's a threshold you mustn't go under if you want to game competitively.
Also chinese brands have come a long way with their products, any wired 15-30 usd mouse will give you 90-95% of the performance a 50-100+usd and beyond mouse would.
Make sure the sensor is a "flawless" one, make sure it's at least a Pixart 3360 and you'll be set.
I've been with Razer since the Copperhead, switched to DAdder when it released, stayed with it until the end of 2018.
Tried all the mainstream OGs, Steelseries, Logitech, Roccat, the mice were good, but not the absolute last word in gaming.
Atm i game with a Redragon Cobra FPS, got it for 109,79 lei which converts to 25 usd but you can buy it now for as low as 67 lei/15usd, never missed a beat, hasn't let me down.
I truly believe that apart from the pros who do need the 360hz monitors, the 200+keybs and mice because every split second can mean get the frag or get fragged,
the rest of the 99% would be perfectly fine with a well under 50$ mouse, even people like you, Jeff, NadeK, Loba etc.
Exactly my computer lab/studio peripheral and I use it for gaming sometimes. Totaling around 700$ for each PC, with only 50$-is of peripheral.

If there's any specific peripheral that's better to spend a tad more on than baseline, the mouse is probably your best bet. It's the main part that can screw you over if it's too cheap due to poor quality sensors, that can't handle flicks and just spinout or malfunction when moved too fast, as well as the gaming mouse market becoming hyper competitive and prices for entry level gaming mouse becoming cheaper, as well as said mice being much higher quality than they were 10 years ago when I first bought my G402. You can now get a Logitech G305 for $35USD with a Hero sensor, or a Razer DeathAdder or Viper mini with a PixArt sensor for $25-50USD. There hasn't been a better time to be shopping around for a gaming mouse.

I upgraded from membrane logitech internet keyboard pro and logitech mx518 (both of which served me for 15 years, and are still working (except for extra mouse buttons) to steelseries apex pro and razer basilisk v3. And its precision in both cs go movements and aiming is incomparable.
I didn't think keyboard makes a difference, but I think going from membrane to mechanical does. Then it starts diminishing. But I definitely noticed how precise my strafing has become, as well as jumping. Maybe my mx518 sensor wore out with time, or simply technology moves forward, but It was definitely a bit difference in aiming.
When i first started playing CS i had a 60hz 4:3 monitor, a crappy wireless keyboard and mouse and my mouse pad was just one of my school books. I can't imagine going back to that crappy setup, i do however still have the same PC chair which is now 15yrs old and still incredibly comfortable.
This was a very interesting take on equipment

I use very low sensitivity settings with a mousepad of comparable size to the one used in the video, but with Raw Accel, a mouse acceleration program, I'm not hindered whatsoever. It helps a lot for 180 degree turns which I can't do otherwise.
I would love to see a version of that video " best bang for the buck cs gaming setup" where you pick a great gear that's not too expensive, like a G305 gaming mouse for example.

that brings to me so many memories i used to play with a Toshiba laptop with a resolution of 768p and 60hrz and I used a cheap Asus Cerberus mouse and a cheap Chair the only expensive thing I had was the headset razerkraken pro and yes a very upsesed with sound quality. And with this laptop i was playing csgo with 80 fps but rarely the laptop should emidietly shut down because it was overheating and it happened to me in cs games as well. now i have my good computer with ass well as good equipment to support it. and the laptop is still working like new and I'm using it to do college work and im emotionally attached and im not planing to throw it away. keep doing your great job with the videos i would like to see a video with the new smokes lineups in dust 2 now that the skybox is free (video idea) !

Wired g203/g102 are probably the best value mice on the market. Very agreeable shape plus an actual gaming sensor for around 25$.
For the mouse Deluxe m800DB/BU, wired and wireless copies of the razer viper, with the same sensors, shape and weight, but cost 15$ for the wired and 25$ for the wireless.
Mouse pad.
A4tech 500MP a cloth mouse pad for 8$ that is 440mm by 400mm.
Headphones there are many "gamer' headphones for 15-20$ that do the job, hama had ones that had pretty good directional hearing.
Monitor is the same, though soon ACER will come out with a budget 23 and 27 inch 100Hz freesync monitors for about 100 euro and 120 euro respectively.
Chair doesn't matter, use the desk for hand rest as you did in the video.
Keyboard is fine too.
My first low budget gaming gear was a 10 euros shitty gaming headset. The microphone did not work well, yet I played. Respect to all our comrades using low budget gear.

The G305 can often be found at sub 25€ (probably even less in used market) and is quite capable, I consider 25€ to be the minimum to get a decent mouse. Works on the table too haha.

Back in 2013-2014, my older sister bought a "gaming mouse" from a stationary shop. When I tried to flick with it, it had the exact same problem with your mouse 😅
I have a really bougie setup at home, but I also travel a lot for work. My travel setup is a $20 wireless Logitech gaming mouse, a cheap mouse pad, a $30 mini keyboard, and whatever the hotel desk and chair is. Honestly that $20 Logitech mouse is awesome. I use my Sony ANC headphones with a $30 vModa Boom Pro mic. Headphones are slightly bougie.
I went from a massive mousepad to a different feel and size being a hard one that’s smaller which I noticed how it impacted me, sure it’s fine just the downside I’d say from my experience is it’s worn a lot more in the middle so probably need to swap soon
Reminds me of my old setup where i hated using my shitty 13" laptop's keyboard, so i stacked a membrane keyboard ontop of it, using a pocket bible as a spacer between the keyboard and the laptop and a starcraft mousepad given to me by a friend.

You can get the close to the best performance for very little money. I got a basic wired corsair mouse, and a chinese mechanical, for less than $100. All you really need is a decent monitor, with 240hz and you're set. The refresh rate makes all the difference. And you can get a refurbished steelcase chair for about 400.
an important tip for lower hertz monitors is to try and overclock it. I have a 1080p 60Hz spec monitor and my Counter Strike resolution is 1024x768@78Hz. they say pixel clocking will reduce lifespan but for reference I’ve owned this monitor for 6 or 7 years, and I normally run it in 1080@76Hz
