I just got my MN82 today, the new board uses a more powerful motor driver SA8336, 7A continuous vs 5A on the TA6586, pin compatible if someone wants to try to swap it, but you'll still need to add a heatsink and/or add copper to the output legs
Actually I just found out that MN released a 6ch transmitter/receiver, same styling as the MN78/82, one seller said it's compatible with stock transmitter so that would be one way to add external ESC, plug and play lighting, I will confirm once I get mine and will also look at the possibility of converting the forward/reverse signal of the motor driver IC TA6586 into PWM signal for ESC with an Arduino but its been a long time I have not worked with microcontrollers lol
Yes..MN also release a 1/10 scale rc like the MN999 series and from people review on MN72/82 its used advance transmitter an esc compare to 1/12 scale MN series. Its will be greatful if you can make a video how to upgrade the stock esc, because i also not so expert in electronic.😅. Last time i try to bypass a connection to use aftermatket led system my esc become fry and cannot be used anymore. If you had any progression just let me know, cann wait to see the result how the stock esc perform after had proper upgrade.👍🏻😄👍🏻

Stock esc 150r cannot support lipo 3s because it burn your esc instantly..but you can used lipo 2s because the output current not so high..so the stock esc will still able to witstand the current.
@@RCFANATIC92 Technically higher voltage will result in lower current, but the onboard AMS1117 linear regulator "BEC" may not like the higher voltage, the TA6586 motor driver can handle 5A 14V, but try adding a heatsink to it and you may have to upgrade the wiring and connector (and maybe add copper to the power traces on the PCB). Just avoid high RPM motors, lower RPM should be fine, eg 17k RPM, check the stall current from the specs

If you want to connect light bar you need to change the esc..because stock esc only support stock led come with the car. Unless you mod the connector to fit into the stock esc
Cannot sir. Because original transmitter had their own coding and only can be used according and function to old receiver. If the stock esc had the function to bind with other remote, it might be possible to used a new transmitter. Instead of using separate receiver and esc.

My stock receiver board from MN99S emitted smoke and damaged itself. I am about to order the same receiver board online. Will it work with the stock MN99S controller?
My stock receiver has a code YX-2.4G-150R-V but the one I ordered online has a code of YX-2.4G-150R-V1. They are both identical but has different code. the one I found online has an addition of 1 after V and labeled by seller as "MN99S new" I already asked the seller and he confirmed that it will work with the stock transmitter but I still find it skeptical.
@@kurtmichael6846 if you buy the same board with coding the same stock board, you can used back the stock remote. If the coding is not the same with the stock board, the remote will not function.
I asked the seller and he said it will work. He even asked his supplier and they said that it is now the newest version (the one with V1) the factory produces and it will just work fine. I'm still waiting for my order to arrive and will update this thread if it works or not. Thanks

Kalau mau sambung esc pakai bateri lipo, ambil wayar connector bateri ori tu lepas tu sambung dekat wayar bateri lipo..lepas tu pasang mcm bateri ori dkt esc ori..pasti guna lipo 2s ja..jangan lebih dari 2s..kalau lebih auto hangus esc ori..pastu esc ori tidak akan tahan lama juga pakai lipo 2s..

MN82 ESC seems to have very good low speed modulation, same transmiter as MN9x/MN78
MN82 esc is more advance compare to MN9 series.

Cannot sir. Because original transmitter had their own coding and only can be used according and function to old receiver. If the stock esc had the function to bind with other remote, it might be possible to used a new transmitter. Instead of using separate receiver and esc.
