@@cruzacevedo6885 Actually, he was just getting started. He was a dentist for a great deal of his adult life and only started acting full time later. He was in tons of westerns as a character actor and, of course, Uncle Joe on Petticoat Junction in the sixties.
I kinda laughed when I saw “Uncle Joe” thrown in the group and mentioned his death in 1979

Yes, because in the following decade, Mr. Buchanan came to be also known as UNCLE JOE.

I knew it must be a mistake, since I saw him in a parade when I was young and I was not born until the 60s.
It's all true, there's been no mistake.
Mr. Buchanon did indeed pass away in the year 1952 and was resurrected the following day from his death, living another 27 years where he went on to capture Not C's that fled to South America after WWII, Was the sole survivor of the plane crash that took the lives of the Big Bopper, Ritchie Valens and Buddy Holly whom influenced Mr. B so much he became THE founding member of the R&B group, The Temptations, which again inspired Mr.B to fill a void in the American musical landscape by starting up Motown Records and eventually fathering 7 children with Diana Ross (4) and Ronnie Spector (3) before selling the company to Barry Gordy and hooking up with Timothy Leary where Mr. B. would drop acid over the next 3-5 years while shooting Petticoat Junction and Beverly Hillbillys.

Curly was always billed as Curly while working with the Stooges. Not just in the early years. His given name was Jerome and his family called him Babe.

What they meant was his name was spelled “Curley” with an “e” in the early Stooges two-reelers.
King George VI was never the "former" king of England. He died as King of England. King Edward VIII was king, but abdicated making him a former king of England.

That's a powerful quote and definitely one of George Santayana's most famous ones.

Christine Granville is probably the bravest and most important Special Operations Executive (SOE) agent working behind enemy lines for the UK during World War II. She was shamefully treated and unrewarded by her adopted country after the war ended. Her death (stabbed and killed by an obsessive former lover who was hanged for his crime) was a tragic one. She didn't live to see her service recognised and honoured.
Wow, Christine Granville's story is both inspiring and heartbreaking. Thanks for sharing!

I could forgive a mistake once in a while but there seems to be at least one and sometimes more in every single one of this channel's videos.
Overall, always well done. But so much is left out when you don't elaborate. John Garfield had a heart attack after HUAC, House UN-American Committee hounded the great actor to death. Susan Peters became a paraplegic after shooting herself in a hunting accident - and 7 or 8 yrs later, her marriage ending, no longer anything left of her acting career - nominated in 1942 for an Oscar - starved herself, resulting in total collapse of her organs. Tragedy abounds in us. PS Be more careful: Edgar Buchanan deserves at least a proper acknowledgement, not dead for years to come. Beautiful music.

1:07. Sam McDaniel, brother of Hattie, played Spiffingham the butler in the 1948 Three Stooges short Heavenly Daze.
I believe he was also the porter on an I Love Lucy episode called “The Great Train Robbery.”

I want to follow this page, but the consistent inaccuracies prevent me from subscribing to it.
The idea is thoughtful in its theory, but until the manager of this page gets things right, it's hard to take it seriously. Pictures, times, dates, wrong people sometimes thrown in.... it's accuracy is questionable.
