Thank you for recognizing Jim Elliot and the other 5 men who were speared to death by the Auca Indians who they were trying to get the Gospel of Jesus Christ to. Don't know if you are aware, but Jim's wife, Elisabeth (also a missionary), a few years after Jim's murder actually went into the jungle to live with those same Indians taking along their 2-year-old daughter, Valerie. She learned their language and was able to find out from them why they killer her husband along with the other men. Elisabeth died in 2015 after decades of being a conference speaker and author sharing the stories about the life she and Jim lived.
