Willys Jeep Clutch Control Tube Assembly INSTALL | (Part 1)

Instructional guide how to install the clutch control tube and release lever into a 1947 CJ2A Willys Jeep. It's also known as the clutch release bellcrank. The tube fits between the frame rail and transfer case on two ball studs where the clutch rod and cable attach to it.

During the harsh winter months in Canada we decided to take the Willys apart, fix a few parts, and get it back on the road. Then repeat this the next winter. During the winter of 2021 we rebuilt the brakes and basic engine upgrades (spark plugs, water pump, distributor, ignition coil, etc.). THIS winter of 2022 we are tackling to replace the transmission and transfercase but finding lots of other problems deep within the engine. Hey, you put the spring in first on one side but not the other. I was thinking the spring went in first both sides?

I dont think there is any need of thread sealer on the ball stud threads,that should be a blind hole and doesnt go all the way through into transfer case !
