How snug should the fit be between the brass bushing and starter? I had to have my starter rebuilt. The front shaft is .500" and the old bushing has an I.D. of .520". Is that too much play or is it okay?

Why do the bottom cover bolts have to have brass washers?

I used to have a 1962 Dodge that overheated so I would turn on the heater inside of the car on high and that would do the job is the heating coil in the car acted as another radiator

My boss and I rebuilt one of these a few years ago. Bottom of the barrel bare minimum on that dam thing had 1 seat and a windshield a steering wheel shifter and 3 buttons. But that thing started and ran every time when we were done. Nothing like urs. 👍🏼

My CJ2a lacks the flange on the back of the starter motor that the L-shaped support bracket bolts to (I'm also missing this bracket). Do you know where I can purchase these parts? By the way, this is the clearest and most detailed description for starter installation I have seen.
