I've always said that the Shipping Forecast tune was a ridiculous amount of work for what is essentially a joke, so It's great to see that very same sentiment running through this project. Gully is doing well, I've even forgiven him for his "incursion" in the hotel room at 1am!
Glad it’s still working and really was a lot of fun to make (and yes, a ridiculous amount of work!) - I’m waiting for the sudden (drop the) panic on one of your streams if he starts that ‘incursion’ again! 😃
I love the idea, the implementation, the knowledge, the humour, the sound effects, the editing, the timing and just the whole good-hearted nature of the project. Awesomely done!
Hey.. imagine triggering that easter egg at 1am in a hotel room. One detail Rob forgets to mention is once a sound is triggered, the trigger is disabled until playback completes... so it plays the whole song!!
You did ask me if I'd seen this video and I actually recall watching this as you release it, put oddly enough when you asked me I couldn't remember it 😂 great video enjoyed it nice prank . And he couldn't have happened to a more deserving Guy 😂😂😂
WOW ! Yet another fantastic video Rob. As mnemo70 said - Everything comes together incredibly well in this video I love all the hard work, you put into these vids. Showing us how you build your devices, Each step involved, how they actually work at a low level. These would be amazing as a set of training videos, to get people interested in electronics, computing and engineering ! Awesome work mate.....I knew you'd never let us down !

Thank you - it’s been a fun project!
Can't believe I got caught with that QR code. lol. Nice one Rob, your electronics and coding knowledge is very impressive mate.
Thank you :) glad someone scanned the code lol

@@HoffmanTH-cam that's priceless 🤣

Not scanning that QR code, because it can only be one thing. :) Great job with this project! Keep making cool stuff!

Thank you, I really enjoyed making this one
V2 of Gully looks far more robust and really was a new invention! Now we know why Hoffman was awoken and it wasn't way too rude!
😂😂😂
I enjoyed this strange and interesting project a lot!
Somebody is having way too much fun... rock on!
One idea to save even more power is to remove the busy led on the module that lights up when it plays a sound. Every bit matters...
I did think about doing that but in the end just left it there. I’ve another board I mutilated further but somehow damaged the SD card slot too
Big ups Rob! Hopefully you'll be able to see the seagulls for yourself next year at Nova! (It's on June 13th-15th)
I’ll put it in my diary and who knows… maybe I’ll make it
Very nice little project 🙂
One of Hoffmans grate tracks. the Amiga even today has come along way
Did you not consider using a small nuclear power source? It could run continuously for years
Not sure if you’re being serious or not, but if you mean those little nuclear batteries - they don’t provide enough current to do anything like this
Bit hard to scan a qrcode when playing the video on my phone
True - and I’m sure you can guess what it plays…..
Now this is my kinda joke. An incredibly large amount of effort for such a small payoff. That's what makes it funny.
😁😁😁😆
I been rickrolled by @RobSmithDev
