I love how as the show goes on, it gets more insane by EVERY EPISODE AND EVERY SCENE.
Was Sawada's voice actor on a time budget? He reads every line like he is only giving it one breath and nothing more. It's like he recorded his dialogue on a Friday afternoon before the studio locked up for the weekend, it's so weirdly inconsistent.
As someone who lives near Livermore I must say thank you to Guile because if it weren't for him I would have died. Also, I need to commend this show's realism. Tibet and Livermore are less than a 10 minute flight apart, Livermore is on the coast of California and the way to access the detonator in a nuke is to cut the top of the missile off with a sword and reach in with your bear hands.
So, we just gonna ignore Sawada, Blanka and Dhalsim? They did most of the work compared to Ex-Colonel Guile and Satin's Ex-Boy Toy.
I think we're all asking for Satin Hammer to be in Street Fighter 6.
Make her the newest villian.

What a way to open Season 2: The return of Satin Hammer, her not super tragic backstory, Dhalsim disarming a nuke, slightly better animation and Sawada's return along with Guile being a dick towards him even if he is right at times. Also T. Hawk!
I really enjoyed season 2. It was a huge improvement over the 1st, like the 90s Ironman cartoon 👍
It's like they couldn't be bothered with her backstory. "Just say she was kidnapped and turned into a cyborg."
Honestly I'm still wondering what the hell her tragic backstory is suppose to be. Even went to a fan wiki and I still don't understand.
@@SapphireSword-pd1ix All I could gather that made some form of sense was they used me for my smarts until they didn't need me anymore and cut my funding despite saving me and turning me into a cyborg.

That'd be something. We're getting back X-Men TAS so I wouldn't mind seeing another season or two of SF and others as long as they give these a satisfying end (while poking fun at themselves).

I feel like this episode ran a little long but they didnt want to cut anything, so they just sped the whole episode up by like 5%, hence why everyones talking like a bad Speed Racer parody.

Is the footage and audio sped up slightly? I'm assuming it was done to avoid copyright, but I didn't notice people talking just slightly too fast in the Season 1 episodes.
Could be Matt is using a PAL DVD (rip) or whatever. NTSC is 24 FPS, PAL is 25 FPS, so the video/audio is faster and audio is higher pitch by ~4%.
I don't think so. I think it's because a different studio started handling the show at the start of Season 2, which kicks off with this episode. So there was just different production behind this one.
I highly doubt it. The audio may sound sped up but the music and footage aren't.
Kay, I looked at other episodes of Season 2, and this is the only one that gives off the "feel" of playing the dialogue too fast, and it's not just Matt's video, other uploads also feel like the characters are speaking too fast. Not sure why this episode feels so off, but it seems to be the only one.
As a fellow Canadian, we never got this show and I would have ate it up back then if we did.
That's weird, even though it's made with Canadian voice actors.

This episode's animation is actually the best in Season 2 but not by much consider Sunrise Hong Kong was pulling full animation production on Season 2 after Madhouse left.

This show is such a fucking trip. i love it.
Seems like the organization Street Fighter is not too good as a team. The only characters who work together are Ken and Ryu, and Blanca with any charactee who isn't Dhalsim.

I'm really enjoying the watch along with Matty Fatty! Will he subject his last ounce of sanity to Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm for the MK12 release?
Probably not. He's currently doing Darkstalkers and while he'll be finished with that series this year, MK has some competition since the VIPs also have a bit more interest in seeing him watch Mega Man.
Sawada doesn't appear in any episodes after this because he was executed by the military for betraying the govt. because he "kept his word" to Dhalsim about no nukes.
Somehow, turning Sawada into a lame Silver Samurai makes him even cooler.
Given how Capcom didn't forget about Sawada, I do want to see him in a later SF game. Idc if using a sword is cheap BS, it wouldn't be the first they included a fighter who used weapons.

At least there's the SF5 redesign of him. Though honestly, I'd like it if he was a stance fighter. Maybe something similar to the fighting stance system in the 3D era Mortal Kombat games.
@dnmstarsi I keep imagining a redesign with a Josuke style Pompadour and I don't know why or if that would even fit. Just like as a mirror to Guiles crazy hairstyle I suppose (and I think characters with pomps are cool)

@@MashieMutt If you consider the Final Fight universe, there's a goon named G who has a pompadour. I say that because like Sawada, he got his own entry in the SF Encyclopedia. Granted, he was in a beat em up game but he was special enough to get an entry unlike Satin Hammer.
Why does so much of the dialogue sound like it's on fast forward? I can't tell if there was a recording error or if the voice actors just didn't want to be in the booth too long and speed read their lines.

Because they were forced by Capcom to include every single Street Fighter character, and since Capcom approved the Army vs Army scenario, they had to get creative in shoe horning in characters that didn't quite fit that set up
